"Yeah, well, we've got due cause to take a break. Besides, Max said he saw Liz come in, so she's here," I say, smiling softly. I wish we didn't have work right now...and that Isabel's mom magically gave us the day off.

Hmph. Yeah right. Like that would ever happen. Kissing her again softly, I murmur against her lips. "Let's not waste our free time."

Isabel

"Yeah, well, we've got due cause to take a break. Besides, Max said he saw Liz come in, so she's here.",Alex informs me
Oh she is...then where the hell is she?We sure could have used an extra pair of hands during the lunch hour rush.

"Let's not waste our free time.",he says kissing me tenderly and I smile against his lips but pull away slightly
"Alex as much as I want to do this right now I don't exactly want to get caught by my mother,I have to live under the same roof as her and if she caught us out here kissing...I don't even want to think about the lecture she will give me."

Taking his hand in mine,I start walking towards the back door of the restaurant,"However much of our break is left,we can spend it in the back room,talking.That's the safest option for the time being.Besides we can see what Liz is up to."

*Maria*

"No….I don’t want Michael to come. It’s really a girl thing. Maria I’m scary.” Liz wails and I am stunned speechless. What do I do? I can hear her gentle sobs over the phone and I am overwhelmed with grief. A girl thing? Hmmm. I have to do something. We get disconnected and I am left with a phone blaring the obvious. She's gone. I have to go to her. Rising to my feet I give Michael an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I have to go. Liz needs me." I can see he's about to protest so I lean down and place a gentle kiss on his lips.

"Don't worry. I'll call you at the first sign of trouble." He looks unsure so I settle in his lap meeting his eyes so that I can reassure me. "I know she's your sister, but you can trust me. I won't let anything happen to her." I reveal hoping he doesn't get upset.

*Kyle*

The beautiful blonde turns around hestiatingly and meets my eyes with a newfound resolve. I narrow my eyebrows in an unsuccessful attempt to figure out what she is having such a hard time telling me. "Kyle...you know how I said I have secrets, well there not just tiny secrets...they're giant-life-changing-could-change-how-you-feel-about-me secrets" She takes a deep breath and releases it harshly before grasping my hand tightly. How bad could it be?

Trying desperately to concentrate on her words and not the warm sensation in my hand I listen carefully. "I think Im falling in love with you Kyle and I know it's way, way to early for me to be saying stuff like that but I have to tell you it before I tell you anything else" Wow, she loves me. I just bask in that spectacular feeling for a moment as she presses her sweet lips to mine in what feels like a goodbye embrace. No! I want to keep her. Why is she suddenly retreating? I could never stop these feelings. I'm in this better or worse.

"My father wasn't actually my father...He was my protector and Michael, Alex and Liz are actually my family....Kyle,Im not normal" Protector? Huh? Well, I knew she wasn't normal. She's beyond extraordinary. The most gorgeous and intelligent woman I have ever met. "Wh.What do you mean?" I stammer not quite grasping the concept. "I don't understand." Taking a deep breath I step forward and collect the tiny vixen in my arms. "I think I'm falling for you too. There's nothing you could say that could change that."

I assure her but her expression reads as if she's not sure. "Please.. Tell me what's going on. Are you involved in something illegal?" I never really pictured her being in anything like the Mafia of whateverf ,but I'm not sure what else it would be.

"Wh.What do you mean?" Kyle says confused"I don't understand." He comes closer and holds me and it feels great but Im still scared

"I think I'm falling for you too. There's nothing you could say that could change that." God I wish I could so sure."Please.. Tell me what's going on. Are you involved in something illegal?"Biting my bottom lip and look straight into his lovely confusion held eyes.

" Aww hell, how am I suppose to tell you this without looking crazy" I mutter to myself but addressing Kyle. Taking a deep breath I just blurt it out." Im not human, not fully anyway" I stiffen in his arms awaiting his reaction. "Im an alien from outer space" god I sound insane!!

*Kyle*

" Aww hell, how am I suppose to tell you this without looking crazy" She replies to herself but speaks to me. I’m so beyond confused at this point ,but I don’t even care. I really care about the petite blonde before me ,and dare I say I feel she may be the love of my life. Everything else just fades away. It’s all mere details compared to that fact. She takes a deep breath and I wait for her to reveal the big sister. Maybe she’s in the witness protection program or perhaps she is a secret service agent undercover at my school to fight the war against drugs.

I have so many wacky scenarios running through my mind but none of them prepared me for what I was going to hear next. Taking a haggard breath she spouts out. " Im not human, not fully anyway" She visably stiffens in my embrace and I stand absolutely still as not to startle her. She’s like a jumpy rabbit right now and I don’t want to make one false move to frighten her off. "Im an alien from outer space" Okay, this girl has lost her ever loving mind. “Um…” What do you say to something like that?

Holding up the universal sign with two fingers I state in all seriousness. “I come in peace.” She doesn’t think it’s funny. “Don’t tell me your not kidding.” The look on her face explains all. “Your not kidding.” I state flatly as if to wrap my mind around the concept. Shaking my head emphatically I announce, “You can’t be…You’re not…. I…” With that I release her and move over to the sink.
