Michael

I hear a voice behind me, and realize that someone did see that kiss. Someone knows. "Michael."

I turn around to see Maria, tears running down her face, staring at me and Courtney with a look of shock. Courtney has a smile on her face, and I fight the urge to punch her. She tries to kiss me again, but I push her away for a third time.

I watch wordlessly as Maria walks out, then instantly follow her out of the backroom.

"Maria, wait!" I catch up with her, tugging on her shoulder. "It's not what it looks like."

*Maria*

"Maria?" Liz asks a worried expression placed acorss her tired face."Maria tell me what happened" she commands anger filling her brown eyes.

Michael grabs my shoulder and whirls me around. "Maria, wait!"

"It's not what it looks like." He tries weakly.

Tears still flowing steadly I look at the man I thought I knew. For a fleeting moment I think maybe it wasn't. Unfortunately my pain causes that moment to end.

Barely able to form words I whisper, "So... What? Was it an accident did she trip and she just fell on your lips? I thought what happened last night was real, but I guess you were just being a guy right? You've had me so now its time to move onto the next blonde. I'm sorry I ever met you."

Not once did I shout or raise my voice. Instead I blink the tears away and feel a Stone wall of my very own going up to protect whats left of my shattered heart.

"Liz, tell your Dad I'm going home. I'm sure Courtney can take over my shift. She takes everything else of mine."

"Maria, wait!" Michael says grabbing her. "It's not what it looks like."
"So... What? Was it an accident did she trip and she just fell on your lips? I thought what happened last night was real, but I guess you were just being a guy right? You've had me so now its time to move onto the next blonde. I'm sorry I ever met you."
She must have set this up...
"Kyle, I'm going home. I'm sure Courtney can take over my shift. She takes everything else of mine."
"No, don't. I need to talk to you both. Ergently!" I tell them.
"This was a set up Maria, I can bet my bottom dollar on it. And it was set up by...well...can we go talk somewhere please."

Michael

I feel anger starting to rise in me, partly because I can't believe Maria doesn't believe me, and partly because I can't believe Courtney is so obnoxious.

"Maria. You need to believe me. She called me in their and started hitting on me, and when I tried to come get you, she kissed me." I run a hand through my hair in frustration and listen as Liz seems to side with me, which is odd.

"Maria. I would never do that. I love you."

*Maria*

"Maria. I would never do that. I love you." Michael pleads and my heart stops. I can't let myself back into this. I won't. The tears stop and I want so much to believe him. Why would he lie? Maybe our love can survive this. I stop for a moment. Mulling over his words.

"No, don't. I need to talk to you both. Ergently!" Liz says the desperation clear in her voice.

"This was a set up Maria, I can bet my bottom dollar on it. And it was set up by...well...can we go talk somewhere please. I'd invite you to Liz's bedroom, but as Im not your Liz..."

"Um... Liz sweetie are you alright? I soo didn't set this up? Why would I try to break my own heart. I knew loving Michael Guerin made me a masochist ,but I could never do this to him."

I reason trying to understand the maddness behind Liz's explanation.

I sigh. "I'm not Kyle!" I tell them. "Or, at least not your Kyle....Im from the future. Me, this Liz" I say pointing at her, "and the future version of yourself Maria who is probably hiding upstairs as we speak" I say.

*Maria*

"I'm not Liz!" she informs us. "Or, at least not your Liz....Im from the future. Me, this Kyle" she states refering to an older scruffier version of Kyle. He shrugs and smiles sheepishly.

"and the future version of yourself Maria who is probably hiding upstairs as we speak" she finish s looking from Michael to me wildly.

"Uh Michael..." I step closer to him afraid of the scene before me. "I think she's telling the truth." I look up at him wandering what he thinks.

*Tess*

I step into the Crashdown to get some food and stop at the door not believing my eyes when I see Maria and Michael and an older looking Kyle and Liz.

I walk right up to them. "Okay does someone want to tell me what's going on?" I ask.

"Er....maybe we should all go somewhere, somewhere we won't be interupted?" I say hopefully. "Somewhere our Maria or your Kyle or Liz will turn up"
