"Why shouldn't you have?" I ask, "I will always want to hear anything you want to tell me." I tell her. "Besides..I've never been alone with a girl before...well..except that one time Gertrude locked me in a wardrobe..."
Isabel looks up starled.
"I suggested we play hide and seek as children...I tried to get it that she went and hid everytime but she got wise to me and insisted I went first, so I went in a wardrobe and Gertrude found me and locked me in until I promised that I would spend the day with her and stop plaing hide and seek." I mutter.
