"Is there any way to answer that without you getting you mad?" I ask.

I raise an eyebrow and turn to him with my arms crossed. "Why would I get mad?".

Occ: wow! I missed a lot. Sorry guys but I might be a bit slower over the next couple of days!

~MICHAEL~

Everyone shows up at once. At first, I decide to hide in the kitchen and let Maria deal with Isabel first, but then Leo comes in the door with Lor in tow. I listen as Maria drills him and I hear him tell her they were out. That's it! The final straw. Storming into the room, I roar, "You were out! That's the explanation that we get when everyone skips today! Unbelievable!"

Chris asks what we should tell everyone. I raise an eyebrow at him. "Well, I'm pretty sure they'll figure it out on their own. With everything that's been going on today, I'm pretty sure the parental units won't want to hear about it. So you wanna tell me what's been going on? What's up with you and Angel fighting? What was that about Meta Chem this morning?"

~LIZ~

"I guess having four alien children isn't the best thing to do when you have a relationship like ours. I guess after we had Lor and Jakethings weren't as easy as we thought they were going to be. Sage was growing up and dating...Eliza. We had to deal with all the alien probles in between." I sigh.

I feel flooding relief when I say what i've been wanting to say for a while.

I can feel Max relax with his words and I feel a bit of relief too. I smile up at him. "You know all of our kids are an expression of our love for each other but they're still a handful. I think we just have to remember to put a little time aside for us, you know? We can't expect to be able to have a healthy marriage if we don't spend any time together...without having to solve alien problems, or kid problems, or even problems with the Crash.

"We had this whole fight about those jocks beating up on Angel. I said it was Sarah's fault and Angel told me to get out of the car. He threw the first punch and we started to fight. Angel obviously won, so I apolgized to Sarah. Not a big deal." I tell her.

~Max~
"Yeah your right. We should just settle all our problems before we create more." I say.

I'm relieved when Micahel joins the conversation, glad for a break. he can be the drill sargeant now, while I take a little break, some time to get my head to stop spinning. And then Leo starts to explain even more. And well, he's rude at the very least.

"That's it," I say simply, coming to the only conclusion I can,"No more car. Not for. Not for Chris. Not for Angel." And it shocks me as I ramble that I don't have to add: not for Eliza.

I take the keys out of his hands. "This way, if you skip...you won't get very far..." I shake my head,"But that's beside the point. You shouldn't be skipping in the first place...."

I hope Michael doesn't try to argue with me on the car thing. maybe it was a bit hasty, but I felt like I ahd to do SOMETHING.

"Wait, let me get this straight. You told Stacy Miller, aka Blabber Queen, about our fight that night? Is that how those jocks found out we were dating and wanted to pound my face in? So not only did I disobey my brother, but his vision was correct?" He says with anger in his voice. I can feel the tears sting my eyes and roll down my face. I nod my head.

"I thought that she would keep it to herself. She told me she would." I cry. "Angel, I'm so, sorry."

Leo

"You were out! That's the explanation that we get when everyone skips today! Unbelievable!" My dad roars as he comes into the room. Well, it's starting. I look to Lor in sympathy, but then my mom starts in.

"That's it, No more car. Not for. Not for Chris. Not for Angel. This way, if you skip...you won't get very far...But that's beside the point. You shouldn't be skipping in the first place...." She says too calmly, taking my brand new keys frommy brand new car out of my hand. No. She can't do this to me, can she?

"But mom, I just got the car," I try, keeping my voice quiet so I don't sound like I'm yelling. I look to dad for the car sympathy vote, and wait to see what happens next.

Placing my hand at his eye, I ask, "Did anyone see this? Why don't you heal it? I can do it for you if you like."

~MICHAEL~

For the first time ever I realize that I agree with Maria about vehicles for the kids. I had hoped they were mature enough to handle the responsibility. When Maria hesitates somewhat, I'm quick to back her up. "Your mother is right, Leo. No more car until we feel we can trust you."

~LIZ~

I search Max's eyes. "So we're going to talk about our problems before the end of the day right? And maybe we could plan a vacation without the kids sometime soon." I love his eyes...always have.

~CHRIS~
"My parents saw it. I guess it would be better if you healed it." I gestured towards her soft hand already place on top of my eye.

~ANGEL~
"Look, Sarah let's just talk this out. Tell me everything. Okay?" I ask.

~ISABEL~
"Okay. Wait a minute, back up a little. Can you please explain the whole story here Michael?" I ask confused as hell.

~MICHAEL~

I turn to Isabel. "Well, I'm not sure I can explain it all since I don't know the whole story myself but the gist is that Leo and Lor skipped and we, Max and Liz and Maria and I, were all called down to the principal's office. While we were there, we found out that Chris, Angel, and Sarah were also skipping. We can't seem to get any of them to tell us where they were or why they were skipping. Maybe you can get something out of Sarah. She's upstairs with Angel."

I concentrate and heal his black eye. Then I place a kiss on that eye. "Where else are you hurting?"
