"Don't have much of a choice do I?" I asked, noting that Tess and Kyle were already off in their own little world. "Just one thing, Mr. Evans," I said, raising my eyebrows in return. I maneuvered myself around his horse, so that we were side to side. Then I leaned in, positioning our faces so that they were just inches apart. I moved my lips close to his, and whispered, "Can you keep up?" I jerked back and kicked my horse, taking off at a gallop.

"Oh...no you don't.." I raced after her. Yelling out to her..." I only hope your not a sore loser, as I raced ahead of her." I laughed as the look on her face changed, it was once a smile of joy, but it was not changed and it looked determined to win this small race that we've created. "I really hope your not going to cry once I win--but if you do, that's okay... I mean you are a girl, and that's what girls do...don't they?" I asked.

There was no way he was winning. No way. "Tell me, what will you tell your friends after I beat you? Will you cry?" I taunted, pushing my horse on. I grinned as I passed him. "Bubye," I called over my shoulder.

Max:

We raced for a good ten mintues...and Liz turned out to be victrious... She taunted it in my face--"Yeah, yeah... but at least I'm not crying...like you said I was going to be. Say what you must...c'mon let's hear it Miss Parker." I urged her on.

"Oh, like you wouldn't be gloating if you were in my place, " I said, pushing my sweaty hair out of my face. "And yes, you just got beat by a female. I women. A girl. The 'weaker' sex. So what if you're not crying? Sure, it would have been a bonus, but crushing your ego is enough!" I laughed again and then sat on the ground under the shade of a tree. I was hot and tired from our race, so I laid down, staring up into the tree's branches. A second later Max's face came into view as he crouched over me.

"Get away," I said calmly, but he just stared down at me with amusement.

Max:

"Well, I might say...Liz you really live in the moment--but I hope you know that I let you win, and being the bigger man that I am--I am suprised to say that i thought you'd be more upfront and in my face. And who cares if I have a huge ego, every man does...it's apart of there pride. Where would my pride be if I had won? I'd tell you right down the drain beause I did the gentleman thing to do, I let you win out of repect for you. You can thank me later." I got up and proceeded back to the horse, but Liz was fast on my heal.

"Don't you dare! I... you--!" I couldn't get the words out passed the lump in my throat. All of a sudden, I felt tears prick my eyes, and I quickly turned my back on him. Stop Liz, I scolded myself, this is exactly what he thinks women do, remember? But I couldn't help it; he had me doubting myself. Did I really win? Or did he actually let me win?

Max:

"We should get going...it's starting to get late... do you need any help?" I asked her.

I flash Michael a smile as he helps me out.
"Thanks a bunch Alex." I moaned.

"Hey! You pulled me in with you!" I corrected her. I gave Isabel a smile.

I roll my eyes. I see Isabel laughing at us. "So you think it's funny we're soaked huh?" I said smirking. I quickly picked Isabel off and walked over to the river.
"Now what are you going to do?" I asked smirking.

I was laughing so much as I helped Alex out of the water that I didn't get out of the way quickly enough when he grabbed me and walked over to the water...

"Alex...don't you dare,dont' you dare throw me in the water." I yelled in his face

I would never actually throw her in..she may just kill me...but still....
