When Michael and Maria got back to the house, they found Kyle and Isabel sitting on the couch watching TV. “Where’s everyone else?” Maria asked.
“They went to my house. My dad wanted to talk to the New York aliens about something and Max and Liz thought they would go along for the ride.” Kyle said not looking up from the TV.

Maria began to hyperventelate. “I’m not going to get sick or something am I?” she was really worried. She knew that is wasn’t just an alien thing, because she didn’t begin glowing when she slept with Michael.

I wish it wasn’t right now, but I do want to be the mother of your children. And I guess we just got and early start. What I’m having trouble with is the Queen and Alien thing.” She said.

Chapter 33
In Maria’s fifth month she was irritable and as big as a house. Zan, Rath, and Ava moved to Roswell. They used their power to change ones to hundreds and got an apartment in Michael’s building.
Maria’s mom had been less than thrilled about Maria’s being pregnat and came after Michael. When Maria exlained that it was Zan’s the group had a lot of explaining to do. Finally, because there was no other way to explain it. They brought Amy, and the Parkers, in on the alien conspiracy.
They were all a little confused, but they finally excepted it. Amy nearly took Zan’s head off. The Parker’s were sad and upset that they could be their for their daughter and her friends when they need them. Jim and The Evans’ helped the new adults become more comfortable with the situation.
Jim helped Amy get over the shock of Maria’s pregnancy, but that was not to say he hadn’t had a talk with Zan when he first found out. He pretty much told Zan that he should thank his lucky stars that Jim didn’t castrate him.
But alas, there Maria was 5 month pregnate and already looking as if she was going to pop. Zan had checked her out and the baby was developing faster than the normal nine months, but that was to be expected because the baby was not completely human.
Maria had since been kicked out of school, even after much ado. Amy had thrown a fit, but in the end, the principal of West Roswell High had decided that it was in everyone’s best intrest for her to be homeschooled.
So, Maria started working full-time at the Crashdown much to Zan’s dismay. He didn’t like her on her feet all day. And it sure put her in an awful mood.
This was just such a day. Maria was in a horrible mood and her shift was almost over. Zan was coming to pick her up. For some reason, she hated being around him lately. It was probably hormones, but everything he did seemed to grate on her nerves. Besides, he hadn’t slept with her for two months, so she was pretty sure he was repulsed by her. She was as big as a house after all.
Mr. Parker walked up to her. “Maria, your shift is almost over and there is no one here. Why don’t you go sit in the back room. You look tired.” Mr. Parker had been wonderful through her pregnancy. He always made sure she was ok, and when classmates came to the Crashdown and called her names for getting pregnant, he had kicked them out never to come back.
Maria nodded and went to the back room to change and waited for Zan. He showed up early as usual. He was so over-protective. It drove her nuts. Sometimes she just wanted to run through the streets screaming. She knew that he just cared about her. It was just hard to have people around you all the time.
“Hey baby,” Zan said as he draped his arm around Maria’s shoulder. “You ready to go?” Maria nodded. “Well, I’ve got a little surprise for ya tonight, Rath and Ava are gonna stay at the Evans’, so we have the apartment to ourselves.” Zan said.

Zan placed his hands over Maria's eyes and led her into thier apartment. He wanted to make tonight really special for Maria. She had been going through alot with the pregnancy and she deserved this.
Finally, he opened Maria's eyes to reveal the newly decorated apartment. Maria gasped at the sight of thousands of white candles and roses all around her. It was absloutly breathtaking. Tears filled her eyes as she looked up at Zan. He had done all of this for her. God she loved him. She knew she wasn't doing a very good job of showing it, though. "Zan, this is amazing!" she said to him and lightly kissed him on the cheek.
He deepened the kiss and then said, "It's all for you, baby doll. Everything is for you and our perfect baby."
His words warmed her heart. No matter how much of a bitch she was to him he always stayed true to her. Zan could have been with 1000 different girls, but he lover her and chose to stay with her. She didn't understand it, but she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth. "I love you," she whispered into his ear.
"Not as much as I love you," he whispered back. In the months that had passed since they created thier child, Zan had grown to love Maria more than he even thought possible. Sure, she was a little moody becuase of hormons, but he still loved her. He might have possibly loved her more. Another thing was, that he loved Maria pregnate. SHe was so beautiful when she was swollen with his child.
He told her once that he would like to keep her pregnate. She laughed at him and told him that she wasn't comming anywhere near her again. But he knew that wasn't true. Even as they were no longer sopposed to have sex, due to the baby, they still found it hard to keep thier hands off of each other. Maria was hornier than ever and her inablity to sleep with Zan was part of the problem.
Zan took Maria's hands and led her into the breakfast nook. There she saw a candle-lit dinner before her. IT was beautiful. They sat down and began eating. "Zan, why are you doing all of this for me?" Maria asked, "I've been nothing but a bitch to you and everyone lately."
Zan smiled at her. "Becuase, i love you baby. Becuase i know that it must be tough carring around my child. Becuase you are the one woman in the world that i would put up with rolling her eyes at me." he said witha smirk.
She laughed. She knew that was true. For some reason she could get away with murder with Zan. He didn't take shit off of anyone, but when she was in full-on bitch mode, he seemed to always accept it was grace and understanding.
"I don't deserve you," Maria said with a smile.
"It's me who doesn't deserve you, baby doll."
After thier meal was finished, Zan brought out dessert. It was Key Lime Ice Cream, but Maria noticed a box sitting on top of hers. "What is this?" she asked Zan.
"Open it," he said with a sly smile. Now was the time. There was no going back from here.
Maria opened the box and saw a beautiful Diamond Ring. "Oh My God," she said, understanding what that ment.
Zan came around her her side of the table and dropped to one knee. "Maria, i love you. I love you more than i love myself. And i would love nothing more than to be with you until the end of time. You are my rock and strength, and i will love you now and forever. So will you do me this honor, and become my wife?"
Maria was full-on crying at this point. This was the happiest moment of her life. She knew her answere, "Yes, Yes Zan i'll marry you. I would be honored to be your wife."
Zan jumped up and scooped Maria into his arms. SHe ahd just made him the happiest man in the universe. They kissed 1000 kisses and Zan sat her back down. "So, who all knows about this?" Maria asked. She knew that Zan could not keep a secret like this, especially from Rath and Ava.
"Everyone knows. That is why they made themselves scarce. They wanted to give us alone time."
"Well, i'm glad they did. Becuase all i want to do right now is get naked and lay next to the man i am spending the rest of my life with."
"And all i want to do is get naked and watch my beautiful, pregnate future wife and child sleep." Zan said as he picked Maria up and carried her into the bedroom. They may not be able to have sex, but just wathcing Maria's naked form sleep could relieve some tension.

For the next month, all Maria could do was smile. It seemed that all she needed to cheer her up was a proposal. She didn't have to worry about Zan leaving her, or her child being fatherless. Zan had once and for all made it very clear that he was going to be in her life as well as the baby's for a long time.
The whole gang was extatic for the two of them. Though, if Michael was being completely honest, it was weird for him to see Maria pregnate and engaged to anyone other than him. But he and Isable were happy. He still loved Maria in some way, as he always would. But he was in love with Isabel.
The whole gang was getting together tonight for dinner, and it was going to be fun. They hadn't found alot of time to get together sine Maria became pregnate. Max had been doing, god only know was what, in Las Caruses all week. Liz and Rath were pretty wrapped up in thier jobs trying to save enough money to buy a house together. Michael and Isabel were constantly trying to keep thier relationship on track, and of course Zan and Maria had baby and wedding issues to deal with. Ava and Kyle pretty much hung out with Maria most of the time. Kyle felt like a brother to her, and Ava and Maria had beome the best of friends. IT was kind of ironic since the love of Maria's life was Ava's chosen mate.
BUt tonight they would be a family again. Maria missed her friends. She loved Zan with all her hear and Ava too, but there were just somethings that she had shared with her Roswell buddies that they would never understand.
The first people to show up and Zan and Maria's apatments were, of course, Kyle and Ava. They were usually always the first ones everywhere. "Hey, Ria." Ava said giving the very pregnate girl a hug.
"Hey Ava. Hi Kyle. Common in. You guys are the first ones here." MAria said as Zan emerged from the bedroom looking very nice.
Just as Maria sat down, the door bell rang. As she moved to get up, Zan stopped her. "I'll get it Maria. JUst sit down and relax."
Maria rolled her eyes, but stayed seated. She was feeling kind of tired, and she didn't want to pass out before everyone got there.
At the door was Liz, Rath, Michael, and Isabel. Maria could tell they were excited about getting together as well. It had just been too long since they hung out as a group. They exchanged greetings and waited for Max.
"So, what do you think Max has up his sleave?" MIchael asked the group. Max had told them he had a suprise for them.
"Well, i hope he isn't planning on kidnapping one of us again," Maria said with a giggle.
Rath gave her the evil eye, "NOT FUNNY." he said.
Liz slapped him on the arm playfully. "Oh come on, it wasn't that big a deal." she knew it was, but she also knew that the kidnapping was a touchy subject with Rath.
Just then, the doorbell rang again. This time, Liz got the door. THere was Max and the most drop dead gorgeous Man she had ever seen. Next to Rath of course. "H-H-Hi Max," she finally got out.
Max and the man he was with walked throught the door. All the women in the room noticed the amazing looking stranger and all the men noticed thier women.
"Hi, everyone," Max started shyly, "This is my boyfriend Adam." he said. He had met Adam while working in Las Caruses and he wasn't sure how his friends were going to take his being gay. But he figured that they would find out sooner or later, and he really wanted to be honest with them.
Mouths around the room dropped. Maria noticed and stood up with a little help from Kyle. "Well, Adam. I'm so glad you could come. Max is really important to us though, so if you hurt him i would be forced to feed your testicles to you." she said and then smiled.
Adam swollowed hard but then noticed the twinkle in Maria's eyes and relaxed. He was going to like this girl. Everyone else breathed a sigh of relief as well. They were glad Maria took this one by the balls so to speak. None of them cared that Max was gay, hell it was kind of obvious now that they thought about it, but they just didn't know what to say.
Maria hugged both Max and Adam. And Introduced Adam to the rest of the group. Then she took Max by the arm and led him into her bedroom, leaving Adam with thier friends.
IN the bedroom, Maria could not contain a giggle. "Oh Max. I'm so happy you found someone."
Max smiled. He knew Maria would be cool about this. She was his "girlfriend" to the end. "Thanks Maria. Do you think everyone else will be as happy as you are?" Max still wasn't sure.
"Common, Maxwell. If we can except that you are an alien and that you kidnapped our best friend, i think that we can accept that you are gay. Itsn't not like its a bad thing anyway." Maria said.
"Your right." Max said. "It will be fine."
"Does he know about your extra terrestrial status?" Maria asked.
"No, we've only been dating for a couple months." Max said.
Maria nodded and hugged him again and said, "Alright. Lets get back out there before Isabel and Michael give Adam the 3rd degree."
AS they made thier way out the door MAx heard a thud behind him followed my Maria's screaming. "MAX!"
He rushed her her. "Maria, what is wrong. You have to look at me." Max didn't know what to do. "Zan!!" he yelled.
Zan had heard Maria's scream and was already up and running with the rest of the group in tow.
They entered the room and saw MAria hunched over in fetal position clutching her stomach. "Zan." She whimpered, "It hurts. God, It hurts."

Chapter 36
Zan kneeled down by Max and Maria. "What's wrong, baby doll?" he asked with panic in his voice.
Maria looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "I think the baby is comming. But Zan it's too soon. There has to be somthing wrong."
Michael, Max, and Zan helped Maria onto the bed as Kyle comforted Ava, and Liz and Isabel paced the room. Adam looked worried as well. He knew that labor was not suposed to be like this. Mostly becuase he was an OB/GYN.
"We have to get her to the hospital." Adam finally stated, as he saw the other people in the room had no intention of calling 911.
Max walked over to his lover and said, "Honey, we can't take her to the hospital. I can't explain everything to you right now, but we can't. Do you think you could...deliver the baby?"
Zan's head snapped up, "WHat? I'm not just going to let some guy that i don't know deliver my child. I can do it!"
Adam explained, "Zan, i'm an obstitritian. I deliver babies every day."
Zan backed down slightly. Then the room was filled with Maria's screams once more. "Zander!!!! You are never touching me again!!!" she screamed.
Adam looked at his watch. "Ok. The contractions are 3 minutes apart. That is a little quick." He was worried, but he didn't want to alarm the room. He could tell by the looks etched on the faces of the people in the room, including his beloved, that Maria was very important to all of them.
When the contraction subsided, Adam looked at Maria and asked, "Maria, have you been feeling any weird pains or indegestion today?" He had to find out why these contractions were coming so fast so quickly.
Maria took a deep breath and thought, "Well, actually yeah. I felt a little off all day, starting about noon. But i just thought that it was the typical pregnancy stuff."
Adam nodded and turned to the room. "Ok. I can deliver the baby, but i need you guys to help me out. I'm sorry i dont know your names, but you too, i need some warm wet towels." he said pointing to Kyle and Ava. The moved into action. "Liz and Isabel, if you could get me a bowl of luke warm water." They did as they were told. Adam turned back to the 3 remaining worried men. "Max, honey, can you and these two gentleman here get me a bottle of alchohal." Max, Rath, and Michael nodded and went to look for Maria's alcohal.
Finally Adam turned to Zan. "Zan, i need you to hold Maria's hand for the next contractions. I want you to know that I am fully qualified to do this." Zan nodded. He knew he had no choice but to trust this man, but he was just so worried. But he also knew that he needed to stay strong for Maria.
Just then another contraction hit. Maria thought she was going to split open in pain. "Oh God! I Hate you! UUGHHH!" She rode out that pain and then if finally subsided.
The rest of the gang entered the room and set thier items next to Adam who was at the foot of the bed. "Ok, everyone. I would stay toward Maria's head. I'm going to ready her for delivery."
They nodded and gathered around the head of the bed. Maria looked at everyone. "Thank you guys for being here." she said with tears in her eyes. Then she turned to Zan, "Zan, i dont hate you. I love you. And i cant wait for this baby to come. BUt it just hurts so bad."
Zan leaned over and kissed Maria on the lips. He fetl so bad for the pain that she was in. He had done that to her. And he hated that. "I love you so much, babydoll." he said just as anouther contraction hit.
"Ok, Maria, this is it. YOu need to push." Adam said. He couched her on until the baby was finally born, screaming into the overjoyed room.
"It's a boy." Adam said holding up the child. Tears filled everyone's eyes, but mostly Maria and Zan's.
"He is so beautiful" Maria said and Zan hugged her.
Adam handed the baby to Zan and said, "Ok, i need you all to get out of here for a few minutes so that i can check Maria out for internal bleeding and everything."
Reluctantly they left the room and Isabel and Ava cleaned off the baby boy that was the newest member of the family.

Fifteen minutes after the baby was born, Adam rushed out of the bedroom. He found Max and pulled him into the hallway. "Max. I need to know what is going on, if i'm going to help Maria."
"What do you mean? What's wrong?" Max asked tentativly. He didn't want to belive it was anything serious. No matter what happened to thier little group, Max still felt a little bit responsible for everyone.
"Max, she is loosing a lot of blood. I can deal with that, but the other thing is, that she is glowing. Her insides are glowing. I need to know what is going on" Adam demanded.
Max bit his fingernail as Zan and Rath approached them. "What the hell is going on?" Zan asked, "Why arn't you in there with Maria?"
Adam turned his attention to Zan. "Now, dont be alarmed. Maria has some internal bleeding and i am fixing that, but she is glowing. And i dont know what to do about THAT."
Max then spoke up, "Look Adam, I need to go in there with Maria. I can't explain what is going on right now, but i just need to fix this."
Zan looked at Max and shook his head. "No, I'll do it. She is my fiance."
Max understood Zan. HE needed this. Zan needed to be the one to do this.
Max led Rath and Adam into the living room and they sat down.
"Ok, now what is going on, Max." Adam asked not letting it go.
Max looked at Isabel and Michael for help. They simply nodded at him. They knew he wanted to tell Adam about them, but he didn't think Isabel and Michael would approve. But here they were telling him to go for it.
Max taking thier cue turned to Adam. "Listen Adam. There is somthing i have to tell you. Me, Isabel, Michael, Rath, Ava, and Zan are not from this earth."
"WHat? What are you talking about?" Adam cut in.
"We are aliens. That is why Maria was glowing. And it is also why Rath looks like Michael and Zan looks like me. We are hybrids. Half Human and half alien." Max went on to exlain how they got to earth and who they were on Antar.
"So, now Maria is an alien?" Adam asked still kind of confused.
"We dont know," Isabel cut in. "She had powers, but we dont know if those were induced becuase of her alien pregnancy."
Adam stared off into space and processed this new information. Then Zan came out of the room. "She's fine. IT was an after effect i guess. But the internal bleeding is gone and she is ok."
Everyone let out and simultanious sigh of relive and smiled. The last thing they could deal with was losing Maria. She was the glue that held the group together.
Just then Adam got up. "Ok, well i'm going to go." eh said.
"Where are you going?" Max asked.
"Back to the hotel, I need to think." Adam said as she walked out the door.
Max's face fell. This was what he was worried about. He finally found someone that he could love and the could love him back. And now he was probably going to lose him becuase of his alien status.
Everyone watched the exchange between Max and Adam. "Max, it's going to be ok. He needs time. IT was just alot at one time. He will be ok."
Max shook his head. He didn't think it was that easy. Liz wrapped her arms around him. "It will be ok Max. i can tell he really cares about you. I mean he delivered your best friends baby when he only signed up for a dinner party."
After they comforted Max, they all went in to check on Maria. She greeted them with a smile. "Hey you guys. Where is my baby?"
Ava made her way, baby in arm to Maria and set him in her arms. "What are you going to name him?" Kyle asked.
Zan and Maria looked at each other. "We have decided to name him Kyle Zander DeMan"
Kyle was honored. The group spent the rest of the night getting to know their new member. Tomorrow Max would deal with Adam. But today he decided that his family needed him.

Fifteen minutes after the baby was born, Adam rushed out of the bedroom. He found Max and pulled him into the hallway. "Max. I need to know what is going on, if i'm going to help Maria."
"What do you mean? What's wrong?" Max asked tentativly. He didn't want to belive it was anything serious. No matter what happened to thier little group, Max still felt a little bit responsible for everyone.
"Max, she is loosing a lot of blood. I can deal with that, but the other thing is, that she is glowing. Her insides are glowing. I need to know what is going on" Adam demanded.

Chapter 38
A week later, Rath and Liz were walking around the Roswell park when they saw a very upset Max. Max and Adam must have not 'kissed and made up.'
"We have to go talk to him, Rath," Liz said. She knew that Max but be broken up inside. Liz had left him for Rath. Tess turned out to be a phsyco killer. Now, Adam had walked out on him.
Rath nodded. He was starting to like Max. As much as he hated to admit it. He knew that Max hadn't ment to kidnap Liz. And he understood the posessive feeling over Liz.
They made thier way over to Max and Liz sat down on the bench next to Max. She rested her hand on his shoulder. "Talk to him, Max." she said simply.
He looked up at her, tears in his eyes. Then he looked at Rath. Rath actually looked concerned. It warmed Max's heart. "He doesn't want anything to do with me. I lied to him." Max stated defeated.
"Max. You have to try. This guy could be the one. You have to fight for him." Liz said.
Rath continued, "Look man, you can't hide love in the eyes. ANd everyone could tell that he loved you. He is probably a little freeked out and upset that you lied. BUt he will ofgive you. And if he doesn't. He wasn't worth your time in the first place."
Liz was glad Rath joined in. This was a step forward for him. She turned back to Max. "Look, Max. I happen to know that Adam is at Zan and Maria's right now. He is checking up on her. Why don't you go over there and talk to him. Even if you dont get back together, you can state your case."
Max nodded. That was what he needed. He needed to explain himself. He loved Adam and he wasn't going to loose him without a fight. "You are right, Liz." he said, "Thank you guys," he said and ran off to his car.
Liz smiled to herself. Things were going to be ok. Even is Adam didn't forgive Max, she knew that he would be ok.
Max sped all the way to Maria's. He wanted to make sure he was there before Adam left. He ran up the stairs of the apartment and banged on the door. Zan opened it, suprised to see Max. Maria came up behind him with a knowing look. She knew why Max was there.
"Common in, Max." Maria said. She could tell he was nervous. Adam looked up from the kitchen. His eyes dropped to the counter. He knew he needed to talk to Max. Truth be told, he wanted to. He needed to talk to Max about why he hasn't seen him since the baby was born.
"Ok," Maria said, "I need to go feed Kyle and Zan needs to help me. We will be in the bedroom." she said with a wink at both of them.
Zan followed her into the bedroom. Confused, but suffiantly wipped, he asked no questions.
Adam made his way to Max. Max started, "I'm sorry, Adam." he said collapsing on the couch.
"It's ok, Max. I'm just upset that you lied to me." Adam started. "I will love you no matter what planet you are from, but i tell you. It hurt knowing that all these other "humans" knew about you, but you didn't tell me. Like you didn't trust me."
Max felt horrible. "It's not that, baby. Its nothing like that. I had to talk to the other's about it first. Thier lives are involved in this conspiracy as well." Max went on to explain how the humans found out about them.
Adam put his arm around Max. He knew why Max did what he did. He would have probably done the same thing. "It's ok, Max. Its in the past. Just promise me that oyu will never lie to me again."
"I promise. I love you. I want you to know who i am." he said. "I want to make a connection with you."
Adam nodded. Max placed his hands on Adam's head and gave him flashed. Adam saw everything that had happened to Max of any importance. He saw Max, Isabel, and Michael get out of the pods. He saw Max save Liz. He saw all the trials and tribulations the crew had been through for the past 3 years.
Adam smiled. "Your beautiful, Max Evans." he said and crashed his lips on Max's. "I Love you."
Max broke the kiss, "I love you too."
Maria had been watching the whole converstation. IT was beautiful. Zan wrapped his arms around her and wispered into her ear, "I love you too."
She turned around and kissed him. "I love you more, baby."
They retreated into thier room to give the two lovers some privacy. The whole family was happy for the first time in what seemed like forever.
Maria and Zan were getting married and had a beautiful son. Michael and Isabel were going to move in together. Rath and Liz and Kyle and Ava were all going strong and living together. And now, Max and Adam were making up. Max was learning to love again.
Things were going to be ok. Maria knew it. They all deserved it. After everything they had been through, the group was finally catching a break.
