Ch 25
"Mr Valenti?". Maria called when she heard the sudden bump followed by a groan. A minute ago Jim Valenti was taking her to the safe house and he had dissapeared to take a phonecall. Maria was starting to worry, Jim had been missing for two minutes. She didn't dare to walk out, her feet froze on the spot as the door opened.
"Surprise, Surprise." He sneered and aimed for her before pulling the trigger. The dart hit her on the arm and before she knew it, she was losing her senses and fell to the floor with a thud.
Mr Olsen smiled before walking upto her unconcious body and bent down to tie up her hands with the rope. It wasn't hard to take out Jim Valenti and his teammates, with a gun like this, they'd be out for seventy two hours thanks to Tess who discovered her father's weapons. It was handy being an accomplice of the daughter of a soldier.
He grabbed Maria and dragged her outside where Tess was waiting in the big army green hummer truck. Mr Olsen threw Maria in before he got in. Tess reversed and drove them out of there.

"She's not picking up the phone." Alex panicked, trying again. He and Kyle took turns in calling Maria and Kyle's father. Neither of them were picking up the phone and the three of them were begining to panic.
"Oh shit!". Kyle cursed as the line went straight to voicemail. "Dad's not picking up either."
"What are we gunna do now?". Liz panicked, pulling the blanket over her. Everything was going to fast, one minute everything was normal and the next..it was crazy.
"I'm gunna call the cops..I'm getting a funny feeling that something bad's happened or about to happen." Alex said. At that moment, Liz's phone rang and she picked it up.
"Hello? Tess? What? Okay..come at my place yeah. see you there." Liz said quickly before putting the phone off. "It's Tess..she said she had something important to say." Liz told the guys, shrugging.
"Wow..that's weird. After that drama she pulled off the last time we saw her, I wonder what she has to say for herself." Kyle said.
Alex dialled the cops and waited for a response but at that moment the battery in his cell phone died out. "Shit man!, what the fuck is going on! I can't get through and now my fucking battery's dead!".
"Listen, you two go down to the cops, I'll stay here for now." Liz said and they nodded.
"Kay, we'll be back though." And they hugged each other before they left Liz's place to head for the police station.

Tess shortly arrived at Liz's place when she dropped Mr Olsen and Maria off at some abandoned place in the middle of nowhere. She walked in and noticed Liz was bandaged up. She smiled. She wanted to see Liz in this condition.
"Hey Tess..what's up?". Liz said, rubbing her eyes. She was pretty tired.
"Liz..what the hell happened to you?". Tess said, showing fake affection. Liz shut the door after her and lead Tess to the lounge.
"I got attacked by a group of sadistic perverts." Liz said. "Luckily they didn't get that far."
Tess smirked. "You're lucky you know that."
"Yeah, thanks to Doctor Evans." Liz smiled, remembering Max, her hero.
"Another thing..." Tess said, standing closer to Liz. "I need you tell you something."
"What is it?". Liz casually said, taking a step back away from an intimidating Tess. Tess was acting weird today.
"About Maria." Tess said and Liz diverted all her attention on Tess.
"What about Maria?". Liz quickly asked, feeling suspicious.
"You heard the news. Mr Olsen's out there looking for her."
"Yeah I know." Liz said. "But he's not gunna get her."
"He already has." Tess mumbled.
"Excuse me?". Liz asked, stunned, did she hear Tess right? She was sure her ears must have misheard Tess' words.
"Mr Olsen has already got Maria." Tess said, walking towards the table and grabbing the phone. "If you want to talk to Maria.."
"How the hell would you know that? And why would you say such a thing?". Liz panicked.
"Because I...helped him." Tess said. "Just in the same way he helped me to get those sadistic perverts to attack you."
"Why?". Liz said, with tears in her eyes, unable to beleive Tess would do something like that. She had a potential murderer in her house which scared her. If she just made a dash for the phone...
"Because I hate you, I hate you, Maria and every other mother fucker on this planet." Tess said icily. "I wanted to give you hell..I wanted to see you in pain first. You're in pain but wait what happens to Maria." Tess warned. "Mr Olsen has surprises for her. Twisted surprises." Tess laughed and Liz felt sick.
"You're fucking sick, Tess...you're so sick." Liz said, shaking her head in disgust. "Coming from a girl, it's even more disgusting that you don't respect other girls like you."
"Like me?". Tess laughed. "But Liz..I thought I was a whore?".
"What do you want?". Liz asked, coming straight to the point. She was willing to do anything for her friend.
"I want Doctor Evans." Tess said. "And you..my friend can lead me to him or lead him to me." Tess said.
Liz just looked at Tess in utter shock.
"How am I supposed to do that?".
