"Hi Kyle, you caught me off guard I was away in dream land" Giving Kyle a dazling smile as I lie smoothly. It's amazing how good you get to lie when you have enough practice, I mean technically I don't lie about my heritage...no one has ever come out and asked me are you an Alien? But it's the small things like how things that were broke are suddenly fixed and things that you could of sworn were pink now are blue.

Only one person knows about my true heritage and that's my mother and that's the way it's going to stay, the threat of the FBI and Alien hunters are the things nightmares are made of and the less people that know about the less that can tell. This is why I don't have many friends here at school, I don't want to have to lie it's actually something I detest so if I have no friends then I don't have to lie straight to there faces which is best all round.

Here at school everyone thinks I'm shy and quiet because I keep to my self but at home I'm the loudest in my family, I only have my mother my adopted father died when I very little and since then we have lived with my Aunt Teresa and her very large family of seven kids, five of them boys and we all live on a ranch just outside Roswell.

"Was there anything you wanted Kyle other then to say hi?" I say with a laugh.

I sigh as I walk down the corridor. Another day of BORING school... I sigh as I head into class. mutter a short apology to the teacher, (hey...he's lucky I even turned up!), went to my seat and sat down.

As I walk down the corridor I can not help it as I stop outside a classroom door. I know it is not my class but I can't help but feel like its familiar... like I looked in to the class before. My eyes flicker over the students in the class room. For a moment I continue looking at them all until my eyes went to...

Maria. I stare at her for a moment before hearing my name behind me. I turn to see a adult who for the moment I can't place the name, but they tell me they have to escort me to class. I sigh as they lead me to a classroom and I go in and start my class.

I am just sitting in class minding my own business not paying attention cause I mean really. That would never happen. When I catch a glimpse of Alex staring at me from the doorway. Huh? I must be going crazy. I close my eyes and count to three before opening them. Once I do he’s gone.

Oh Deluca your finally starting to lose it. Spending all that time with Space Boy has worn on your nerves and now your having a nervous break down. I can’t just sit here as if nothing happened. I raise my hand and the teacher looks more then a tad annoyed.

“Can I have a pass?” She rolls her eyes before stating. “Might as well. You are not listening to the lecture anyway.” I stand up and grab the flimsy piece of paper. “Thanks.” She actually has the gall to look miffed. Oh well. I stroll down the hallway looking for the class Michael is in. I spot him in the back row. I wave my arms frantically in an attempt to capture his attention.

"hey, do you want to have lunch with me today?" Pinch me, I must be dreaming no way did Kyle Valenti, West Roswell High's most eligable bachelor just ask me to have lunch with him. I realise that I am just standing here with a disbelieving look on my face while Kyle waits for me to answer.

"Sorry, yeah I'd love too" Gosh, I hope that sounded cool and not dorky.

"So um...well it's only first period now um do you wanna meet somewhere, maybe?" I can't believe how stupid I must sound, why am I so much cooler in my head. Better question why is Kyle asking me out...what if he's doing it cause someone dared him? I mean all his jock buddies are all ways giving me crap cause I'm a punk nerd.

"I'm sorry but are you doing this as some sort of bet or dare or something?" I ask letting my insecurities get the better off me.
