She may in between jobs, but she has a degree which is cool...which means she's gonna be one of those chicks thats a tough nut to crack. But I will. She won't be able to resist me.

"Hmm...let's see... well... I guess there is this one girl who is always in my surgery for one reason or another. She's supposedly bright, but she's VERY accident prone. She's fallen over because of a bunny rabbit and broke her ankle, and the other week she was in because she fell down TWO steps. And completely shattered all her wrist bones to smithereens. Poor kid."

I shrug. "There's quite a few stories I could tell you... um... but I have to say one of the wierdest was one where a patient had um... well lets just say he had had a little problem with a delicate area and an ice statue. God knows why!!"

I smile at her, "But I bet I'm boring you. Tell me more about yourself Liz. Like who are you with tonight? Do you have a boyfriend thats about to kill me?" I ask with a smile. "Because I can't understand how a great catch like you hasn't"

(ooc: The "Girl" is modelled on a roleplayer here at Rf...anyone guess who...*cough cough* (although they didnt break their ankle, they just sprained it so they had to use a walking stick for two weeks on HOLIDAY :S)

Occ: Oh, Mel! My goodness! You've had it a little rough, huh? LOL! Hopefully, there won't be any more big accidents like those to put you in the hospital!

~LIZ~

I shake my head in protest. "Oh, no! You're not boring me at all! I admit I'm fascinated by medicine but I could never be in the middle of it. I don't do well in crises." But I still have to address the questions I was anticipating. "Actually, I'm here with some girl friends of mine. And like my job, I'm kind of between boyfriends right now." I flash him a brilliant smile and say, "I guess I just haven't found the right person who could tame me yet."

I stare into his eyes for several minutes and wonder what he's thinking. Then I give change to my teasing smile again as I ask, "What about you? I believe I saw you with a couple of girls this evening on the dance floor. Have anybody special or are they all special?"

Ah. She caught me out. So she knows I'm a player huh. Hmm....
"Well...they are all special, every female is... but I don't know. I guess I'm probably too serious when it comes to my job, so I like to have fun every once in a while. But I think one day I'll settle down. I just... need time to breathe you know? I guess we both haven't found the one." I say with a shrug.

I look at her. "Well I saw you dance with a few guys too I believe. Are they all special? And if so perhaps you would honour me with a dance?" he said with a cheeky wink.

~LIZ~

I smile at his words. Good, buddy, you just keep thinking along those lines. Keep thinking about finding the “one”. “Oh, yes, each of them was special. Two of them were friends and the third was a total stranger…and I’d be delighted to dance with you, Max.” I can’t resist a little flirting and teasing. “Is it true what they say about doctors being horrible lovers?” He looks a little confused and I explain as we stand and head for the dance floor. “I’ve read or heard somewhere that people in the medical field make the worst lovers because they are exposed to naked people all day and know too much about the human body,” I laugh.

I look at her stunned. "I'll admit I haven't heard that one before" I say before scratching my ear. I then smile at her. "But I can tell you I haven't heard any complaints." I stand up and take her hand to lead her on to the dance floor. I then lean in and whisper, "And if your lucky, maybe you'll be able to do and experiment to find out" I say with a wink.

I straighten up still holding her hand, "Shall we?" I say with a grin.

ALEX

I watch as Liz makes her way towards Max with a small smile. Looks like Isabel just knew how to get Liz to do what she wants. Poor unsuspecting Liz and poor unsuspecting Max. I then look after Isabel and Maria who leave me all alone - in a bar full of people but ... you get what I mean.

With a sigh, I lean back against my seat, looking away from Max, not wanting to appear too suspicious when constantly looking at him. I guess I did annoy Isabel a bit more than I thought with my not telling my big embarrassing secret but ... oh well, she is Max's sister after all, her being angry at me is only good. It keeps me from getting too ... attached and therefor, it keeps Max from wanting to beat me up.

That is, if Isabel was even in the slightest interested in me. She only kissed me to make Max angry (mission accomplished) and now, she's probably just being polite to her partner in crime who happens to be one of her brother's friends.

Looking for Michael (did he get lost when getting a drink?) I briefly wonder if Isabel and I didn't go to far with our Max-Liz scheming. ... No, probably not, if Liz really is a player like Max then this should be a match made in heaven.

Isabel

Heading back in to the club I decide to call it a night.Whatever happens between Liz and Max will happen and I'm sure I will get an update from Tess and Maria if not Liz tomorrow.

Going over to where we were sitting I pick up my purse,"Maria I'm heading home.This place is giving me a headache." I bend down and give her a quick kiss on the cheek before looking at Alex,"Alex,I'll see you on Monday okay.Bye!"

Making my way through the crowd towards the exit I fish my car keys out of the purse.I always like to keep them in my hand so that I don't have to grub around looking for them while I am standing besides the car in the parking lot.

ALEX

I blink in surprise when Isabel leaves already. Isnt she interested in seeing how things go with Max and Liz? I quickly smile at Maria while getting up, "I'll be right back and I'm deeply sorry for leaving you all alone but there is something I have to discuss with Isabel. Sorry."

With that, I'm heading after Isabel, glad that I'm so tall so I can still spot her. Finally, I catch up with her outside the club, "Hey Isabel! Wait a minute. Not so fast please, go easy on the old man here"

I come to a stop next to her and take a deep breath, kinda unsure what I want to say to her in the first place, wishing that I had stayed back in the club.

"I'm sorry for leading you on Isabel but ... I really don't like talking about this incident, it still causes bad memories and feelings to come back. And ..."

Well, should I really do this? she is Max's sister, so she either might slap me and then send Max to beat me up or she'll be completely horrified and disgusted which ... well, Max might be happy about that since the chances between me and his sister would be zero existing but what if I ... oh damnit, Just do it, Alex!

"... and I'm sorry for this too."

I can see confusion on Isabel's beautiful face but before she can ask what I mean, I step closer - really close! - and gently take her face in my hands and kiss her deeply.

Isabel

I have almost reached my car when I hear a familiar voice calling me,"Hey Isabel! Wait a minute. Not so fast please, go easy on the old man here" I can't help but smile and turn around with an inquiring look on my face.What does he want now?

"I'm sorry for leading you on Isabel but ... I really don't like talking about this incident, it still causes bad memories and feelings to come back. And ..."
he starts apologising and for a few seconds I am lost and then realise he thinks I am still pissed off,which isn't true but he doesn't let me get a word in edgewise

"... and I'm sorry for this too." What?What is this man on about...
There it is again...the same kind of kiss.He takes me by surprise.This is the last thing I expected from Alex.Well may be I underestimated the stud waiting to pop out from underneath that geek exterior...FOCUS ISABEL!

He is kissing me!!!
I am so flummoxed that I just stand there,with my arms by my side for a moment before I let one hand of mine reach up and mould itself to the back of his head,savouring the feeling of his lips on mine.

What am I doing here?I hardly know this guy!Oh but he kisses so well.I nibble on his lower lip and then run my tongue over it lightly soothing it before pulling away and stepping back,"Goodnight Alex!"

With that I get in to my car and drive away,looking in the rear view mirror at him.

ALEX

I just stand there in the parking lot, looking after Isabel's car, totally perplexed and confused. She just left, she didn't say much - just *Good night*. She didn't say it unfriendly or pissed just ... what does it mean?

Hm, lets look at the facts: 1) she kissed me back - hell, she certainly did that, 2) she didn't slap me and 3) she didn't knee me either and 4) she kissedme back! 5) she didn't cancel our meeting on Monday and did I already mention that she kissed me back?

"Way to go man! She's certainly a hottie!"

I glance to the left, startled to hear someone speaking to me and spot a blond man, maybe a bit younger than me walking towards his car, giving me a knowing look.

I glance once more to where Isabel's car disappeared before walking back to the club, not giving the other guy another glance, slightly annoyed that I was interrupted in my musings and replaying of the moment.

Oh my God, I kissed her! Just like that, I barely know her, she barely knows me. I don't do that normally ... damn, I really am spending too much time with Kyle!

I wonder how meeting up with Isabel on Monday will be. Should I bring flowers? No, it's not a date but ... oh damn!

Walking back into the club (good thing that the guy at the door remembered me), I go back to where I left Maria, glad that she's still here and doesn't look too pissed that I left her so suddenly.

"Hey, here I am again. Sorry again for leaving you like that and I see Michael is still not back."
