It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

I went outside last night and I could smell snow, I kept telling everyone it's going to snow, I didn't even bother to check the weather reports and sure enough I wake up this morning to big fluffy snow flakes falling to the ground, not that any of them stuck.

But I can smell it again tonight, and as much as I worry we'll end up with another blizzard that we had two years ago where we got almost 2 feet, not common for the northwest, I can't say I'm not a little giddy about seeing the ground blanketed in white.

So I think my 2 year old is planning to run away from home. He's been having fun packing and repacking an old back pack, and today we found it packed with nothing but clothes. He even packed underwear and pajamas. Totally explains why he's so into this potty training thing too.

I friggin' love Colbert!!! OMG ... Twitter is the bomb. It's even made an impression over at Seattle Grace/Mercy West Hospital on Grey's Anatomy.

Wow ... I can't believe they way the protest has gotten out of hand in Egypt. The level of violence that's escalated and for what? And why attack reporters? Shameful!

I wish Anderson and all the other reports who were injured as well as anyone else who has been injured a speedy recovery.

My weekend is going to be FAB-U-LOUS! *squee* My baby sister is coming over to my house and I'm cooking up a storm. Which means I've got to go offline now to finish cleaning my apartment.

My week has been freaking awesome! I've only been to work two days this week because we had a huge ice/snow storm. Did I mention I love working for the City? So Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday I spent all day half dressed playing video games. I shit you not! Today was the first time I've left my house in three days. The only down side was that there was a ton of work to be done, but I can't complain. It was awesome to have a little impromptu vacation in the middle of the week. It was kind of like being in school again and having a snow day!

Yesterday, we celebrated my birthday a little early by going out to dinner at a restaurant that thankfully was awesome enough to provide me with a very huge, very delicious, hot fudge Sunday without making me stand up as the entire restaurant joined in a round of happy birthday...I think hubby was a little disappointed as he tried to sing loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear. All in all a very fun day, especially since it ended with a shopping trip to Ross.

I'm so tired. I've just started teaching 3/4's and they're exhausting. You know me though, can always find something to amuse myself and I generally do with some of the kids in my class and the things that they say. In fact, yesterday two of my boys wrote a story about a giant monster fish. Behold!

"The monster fish ate 972 people a day and 1000 ships. One day he ate a hairy dude with a beard. He died. The American Government decided that enough was enough and went to stop the giant monster fish."

I have no idea why the dude with the beard's death sparked the American Government into action, but one can only assume that the beard was magnificent.
