"I really don't mind your company, Isabel, but you don't have to stay out here because of me. I won't be scared if you want to go back to continue with the game."

I look at him in surprise.Who cares about the damn game!Here I was thinking he'd like us to spend some time alone together without the rest of the partyers around us but I guess I was wrong.

"Oookay,if that's what you want." I'm a little irritated but cover it up quite nicely I think "I'll go back in there and come back in a while to check on you.Probably won't last long in that game anyway."

I move to get up.

Alex

Sighing I reach over and put one arm around her waist, pulling her down onto my lap, "Isabel, I didn't mean it in the 'Get the hell out of here and leave me alone' way. I just thought ... you appeared excited about the games and I didn't want you to miss out on them just because I'm being my usual clumsy self.

"I'd be really estatic if you'd stay with me," I say as I lean down to press a kiss on her neck, "but I don't want you to feel obliged to stay."

Isabel

I land in his lap rather unceremoniously but actually I'm quite pleased with myself.

A little shiver runs down my spine when he kisses my neck and I tilt my head to one side,"Alex if you think I'd rather be in there with a bunch of strangers instead of being here with you...then you need your head examined." I say kind of impatiently

Interlacing our fingers together I add softly,"I like you alright...a lot.Don't doubt that."

Alex

"I'll try to work on my insecurity issues." I promise seriously while doing some happy dances inwardly. She likes me. A lot! Me! Alex C. Whitman. This is so great - and my foot doesn't really hurt anymore either! She likes me!

"Soooo, since I want you to stay out here with me and you want to stay out here with me ... whatever shall we do?" I ask teasingly, running the fingertips of my right hand softly up and down Isabel's left arm.

I laugh at Max's words and am about to reply when someone shouts that two people left the line. I turn on the mike and say, "Ok, well I guess that means we need to remove some more chairs. Claire, would you stop the music for a moment. Guys, can you remove 2 of the chairs please?" We all wait until the chairs have been removed and then I ask Claire to continue the music. We pick up where we left off and I turn the mike off again.

Glancing behind me at Max, I say, "Well, now if we're going to be friends too, I suppose I need to know more about you, don't I?"

I smirk as we keep walking around the chairs. I lean forward slightly and whisper in her ears.

"Who says I want to be friends?" I say cheekily. I give a small laugh as we keep going around. "Well what do you want to know... baring in mind I would rather keep you on the attracted to me side."

Isabel

"Soooo, since I want you to stay out here with me and you want to stay out here with me ... whatever shall we do?"

I chuckle slightly because of the ticklish sensation his fingertips are causing and lean back against him,"Hmm,we can always pick up where we left of in the parlour." I tease then add "but I doubt that a good idea here where anyone can walk in."

Sighing in contentment I remain silent for a few seconds before continuing,"This is nice...just cuddling.If you're foot is feeling better we should join the others in a few."

"Well, hmm, I guess what kind of things do you like to do for fun?" I ask him. Just as I get the question out, the music stops and everyone is scrambling to end up in a chair. Just as I go for my seat, the other guy next to me tries to pull me into his lap. I slap at his hands but end up in his lap before sliding over into the next seat.

He grins. "I get a kiss! You landed in my lap!"

Smirking at his antics, I say, "Ok, but don't try anything funny mister." I give him a quick peck on the lips and then turn to see how Max and the others ended up.

We're going around the chairs in circles and people are getting edgy, waiting for the music to stop when suddenly it does. Everyone dives for a chair and I end up in one, not in anyone's lap thank god. Maybe Tess will end up in my lap.

I laugh as I see a couple of people end up in the floor. I turn to see if I can find Michael and Maria or Liz and Max. I think I saw Alex and Isabel leaving the room at the beginning of the game.

Alex

Hmm,we can always pick up where we left of in the parlour." "but I doubt that a good idea here where anyone can walk in."

"Pity." I comment with a shake of my head.

This is nice...just cuddling.If you're foot is feeling better we should join the others in a few."

I almost want to laugh, even though this is nice, like Isabel said, she still wants to head back.

"It's up to you." I say. "If you want to, we can hang out here a bit longer but we can also head back already."

Isabel

"I just don't want to appear rude." I explain

"But joining the game mid-way might be unfair so let's just sit this one out and as soon as the next one starts we'll join in.How does that sound?"
