Erik wraps his arms around me and places his lips gently against my hair. Smiling, I shift and bring my hand up to rest on his arm. I figure I'll savor the comfort until my parents get here and dad locks me in a tower somewhere. Of course, I won't let them stop me from dating, escpecially Erik. Mom'll side with me. And I just feel different with Erik, more comfortable than I've felt with other boyfriends.

Glancing around again, I notice that my brother and Sabrina are being unusually quiet. He is sitting across the table next to her, and I look at him, trying to find out what he's thinking. He looks as worried as I feel about what we're gonna find out tonight. Honestly, I wish everyone would just get here so I could stop feeling so anxious.

"So, this waiting is a little stressful, isn't it," I announce to the table quietly, my words followed by a nervous giggle. "Where is everyone?" God, I hate waiting. I've always been the impatient kid in the family, and right now it's sort of showing.

"So, this waiting is a little stressful, isn't it," Christina says with a slight giggle. "Where is everyone?"

I can tell that she's nervous. Looking over at Bre and Tyler, I know that they are too. I'm just as jittery and anxious as they are.

I give her a reassuring squeeze. "They are coming. See, here comes some more." I look to the door.

ooc: Where are all the other kids???

As we walk into The Crashdown, I feel an unfamiliar knot form in my stomach. I have so many happy memories in this place and now I fear that they are all about to be overshadowed by whatever the adults are about to tell us. Holding on to James’s hand tightly, I try and brace myself for the worse but at the same time try not to think about it.

I smile with relief when I see Christina. This is going to be a lot easier with my best friend here with me. I waste no time and head straight for Christina and Erik, who are surprisingly acting rather couple like. Wow, that didn’t take long.

“Christina Guerin, are you leading my cousin astray?” I ask with a grin as I ruffle Erik’s hair just to annoy him. Anything to avoid thinking about the upcoming bombshell.

"They are coming. See, here comes some more." Erik says with a squeeze, and sure enough, in walks Lily and James. Thank god for Lily being herself. I watch as she walks over to us, a smile on my face.

“Christina Guerin, are you leading my cousin astray?” Lily asks, grinning at me as she ruffle's Erik's hair. Instead of answering her, I nod at her and James' connected hands and smirk.

"I could ask you the same question." I'm so glad that this conversation seems relatively normal. It's a little less stressful to not think about what we're gonna find out.

"I could ask you the same question." Christina says with a smirk and a nod towards mine and James’s hands as she tries to avoid my question. I smile as I look up at James and feel a rush of happiness. At least one good thing came out of tonight. Well, make that two if you include Christina and Erik.

“Gasp, I would never lead my cousin astray.” I say, diverting the conversation back to them. “Guerin, you’re intentions towards my cousin better be damn right sinful otherwise I’m going to be very disappointed in you.”

I lean closer to James, silently hoping that his intentions are going to be just as sinful as mine. Actually, I wonder if anyone would miss us if we headed up to the apartment for a while. Hmm.

Lily and James enters the Crash and come straight over to our table.

“Christina Guerin, are you leading my cousin astray?” She says as she reaches out and ruffles my hair, an action that irratates me. I give her that look but say nothing. I can see, like the rest of us, she's trying to keep her nerves from taking over.

"I could ask you the same question." Christina responds and seems to lay against me more. I look to where Christina is looking and see Lily's hand grasping James's.

'It's about time.' I think to myself knowing how Lily has felt toward James for some time now.

“Gasp, I would never lead my cousin astray.” Lily says with humor. “Guerin, you’re intentions towards my cousin better be damn right sinful otherwise I’m going to be very disappointed in you.”

I feel my cheeks redden with Lily's words. I resist the urge to duck my head, instead looking up and meeting Lily's eyes with a raised brow.

"Becareful what you say Cuz..." I warn with a smirk. "I don't think your father will like hearing words like that out of your mouth." I bite back my laughter as I glance to Uncle Max glaring this way.

With a sigh of relief, my second daughter enters the Cafe. However, instead of coming over to her mother and I, she goes straight to where Erik, Christina, Tyler, and Sabrina sits. My eyes narrow as I see that her hand is holding tightly to James and pulling him up behind her.

I watch as she smiles and speaks to Christina and Erik. I know how much he hates it when she ruffles his hair like he's a little kid. Erik's been the oldest since Brad and Andrew went off to college.

I can't help but notice how close James is standing to Lily and feel my jaw clench tightly. Now is not the time or place for this reaction but I've really got to have a talk with that boy when we are all done here.

Erik says something to Lily then glances at me before Lily turns her attention to me for the first time. My gaze goes to her hand still holding James's and I raise a questioning brow at her.

"Hello ladies," Brad says with his signature smile. A feature he got from his mother. "Mind if we join you?"

He slides into the booth when the brunette gives a giggle and indicates for me to join him. "The name's Brad Guerin. Nice to meet you lovely ladies."

I follow Brad's lead and give them one of my smiles. One that my grandmother Evans swears I got from my father.

"Andrew." I say looking at the blonde.

"I'm Candy and this is Debbie." She smiles at me.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Candy." I say letting my nervousness fall away and knowing that Brad is about to jump in and lead the conversation, like he always did.

"Becareful what you say Cuz..." Erik says with a smirk. “I don't think your father will like hearing words like that out of your mouth."

I look over my shoulder to where my Dad is sat. He glances at mine and James’s hands before raising a eyebrow at me questioningly. I try not to squirm under his gaze, knowing that Erik would only find my squirming highly amusing. I blow a kiss towards my Dad before turning back to Erik and Christina.

“Hmm, maybe. But my Dad is a pussycat compared to Uncle Michael.” I state with a smug grin. Ah, Uncle Michael and his overprotective nature towards Christina is going to give me endlessly amusement. “I would be more worried about what he is going to do to you when Aunt Maria turns her back. He’s probably going to hurt you pretty bad for holding her hand.”

“Gasp, I would never lead my cousin astray. Guerin, you’re intentions towards my cousin better be damn right sinful otherwise I’m going to be very disappointed in you.” Lily directs at me, and I grin back at her, practically able to feel Erik blushing.

"I never disappoint."

Then Erik jumps in, probably eager to make Lily squirm after she messed up his hair. "Be careful what you say Cuz...I don't think your father will like hearing words like that out of your mouth."

I let out another smile at the look on Lily's face when she glances at her dad.

“Hmm, maybe. But my Dad is a pussycat compared to Uncle Michael. I would be more worried about what he is going to do to you when Aunt Maria turns her back. He’s probably going to hurt you pretty bad for holding her hand.” Lily retorts back, and the smile droops a little on my face.

She's so right. My dad would probably kill Erik if mom wasn't around. I am so glad that she's home.

"Ahh, but mom won't let him out of her sight, so Erik has nothing to worry about," I say to Lily, also trying to reassure Erik.
