Occ: Ok, so are you going to have Isabel bring up the challenge with Michael sitting there? I thought they weren't going to know about it. Or maybe I'm lost. LOL! I've already posted for Liz today and I want Max to have a chance to post. Welcome back, Mel! I didn't know really what to do with him. I didn't know if I should have him notice Liz with Michael on the dance floor or not. You can put a post about that if you want. Oh, and Trude, we are definitely talking about the good crazy.

OOC-well let's just have Liz react to what Alex said and then we'll think of a way to get Michael out of there.May be he can ask Maria to dance since she comes back looking bored

I'm a bit stuck as for what to post to be honest, um.... :S

Occ: Mel, how about a small post about Max's current situation and attitude toward the girl on the dance floor with him and I'll go ahead and try to get Liz a little riled. LOL! Also, I'm going to go ahead and temp for Maria until FaithfulAngel gets back several posts instead of just a couple...we really need her here.

At first, I'm distracted by Isabel's cool attitude towards Alex. Wow. Something really must have ticked her off...either that or she's going to be one of those angry drunks and she's had too many drinks. But then Alex's words hit me and I snap my head toward him, my mouth open. I thought we were trying to be friends and then he says something like he thinks I'll be the last to get married...what like I'm some kind of freak and no one would ever want to be with me?

I decide to find out if that's what he meant and what Isabel thinks about that. I glance over to where I see Maria starting to stand with a look of utter boredom on her face. By the looks of the guy she was sitting next to, I can understand why. Turning back towards Alex, my eyes flash a little as I smile and ask, "Now, Alex, why would you say something like that? Just because you seem to be embarrassed to be with me doesn't mean that every man feels that way." I'm trying to tease him and still find out why he feels that way. "Some guys are actually attracted to me, you know."

*MARIA*

I politely excuse myself after Mr. Safe has shown me several pictures of his dog and cat. Mr. Safe has become Mr. Boring and if I sit here one more minute, I'm going to have to borrow a knife from the bartender and kill myself or him or both of us.

Moving back to where the others are regathered, I deliberately move to sit as far from Michael as I can. I sit down with a sigh and ask, "Ok, so what'd I miss?" I take a big gulp of my drink and happily dismiss Mr. Safe and Boring from my memories.

Okay... I know I like the "easy" girls... but this gal's plain ridiculous. I mean... she is coming on so strong I expect the guy on the other side of the dance floor would get her.

When she next says something I nod and look behind her, trying to find a way out. But I can't find any. The only girl nearby appears to be the one I had sex with an hour ago, and she's smirking at me as though she knows I want out but is not about to help me. Damn it!

ALEX

"Oh no Liz, don't get me wrong, you are an amazing woman, any guy would be glad to have you as his girlfriend, fiancee or wife."

I quickly tell her, not wanting to appear like the big meany here - especially since Isabel is really pissed too. So much for humour!

"It's just that Isabel and I were - not 100 % serious of course - discussing how soon it looks someone of the eight of us might get married or is most likely to end up embarrassing himself in front of other. I think we can agree that Kyle will win here."

Or me. Why isn't Isabel saying anything? Women!

"And well ... you don't seem to be interested in a serious relationship at the moment, let alone marriage ... that's why we think you might be the last of us to do that step."

*MARIA*

Wow! Alex and Isabel are talking about marriage already? They must have hit it off a little better than we thought. Then why are they sitting apart and Isabel is glaring at him now? I decide to find out more about what's going on and casually move closer to Isabel. I lean over and whisper, "Ok, what's going on? What am I missing here?"

I know there's something important that I've missed but I can't figure out what it is. Never one to beat around the bush, I've decided to ask outright. I know it has something to do with Liz but for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. Alex is right, however, Liz will probably never get married. She has too much fun being single.

~LIZ~

I contemplate his words and end up shrugging. "I'm not opposed to a serious relationship, I just haven't found the guy yet. That and most of the guys I've met don't seem to be really serious about relationships either." I grin and nod in the direction of a guy that's standing nearby and looking at me like he's ready to eat me up. "See. There's the perfect example of what I'm talking about. I can't help it if all the guys I end up dating only want a good time."

Isabel

"Ok, what's going on? What am I missing here?" I hear Maria's voice in my ear and turn to look at her
Ignoring Liz and Alex for the moment I decide on how much I should tell Maria.
"Well Alex and I were just wondering who'd be the first and last to get married and we both pretty much came to the conclusion that Liz wins the last place hands down."

Returning my attention to Liz and Alex once more I catch the last of Liz's sentence,"...I can't help it if all the guys I end up dating only want a good time."
"You see what I mean." I say to Maria
Wanting to get rid of Michael for a moment I decide to ask him to go get me a drink from the bar,"Michael would you get me a 'kiss in the dark' from the bar please?"
