After Larak leaves, I replace the book I had been looking at and then leave the library myself. Heading down the halllway away from Xadalyn's bedroom, I approach the guest wing where Liz, Alexander, Justin, Sarah and I had spent the night. I'm suprised to see Justin standing in the hallway outside the room he'd shared with Xan.
"Justin. Are you waiting for something? Where's Sarah?" I ask, since they'd been together the last time I'd seen them.
"In there with Alexander," Justin says pointing to his room. "They're kinda upset so I thought I'd wait out here."
I nod, not sure what I should be saying to him. I know he has to have a hundred questions too. He didn't even have the warning that Sarah and Xander did in growing up knowing about it and then the encounter with Kyria. "I should go talk to them," I decide.
"Um, Mr. Evans?" Justin asks, seeming very uncertain of himself. "Sarah said we're not on Earth and that you used to 'rule' here. What does that mean?"
"I'm sorry, Justin," I say to him. "I thought Alexander had explain things, although I guess I should have done it. Your father knows. I was a king here once, and I was killed. I was re-born on Earth."
"And you have alien powers, then. Like Xander."
"That's right. I'm sorry you got in the middle of this. I will find a way to get you home again, soon, but right now, you need to get ready for a party they're having. Xadalyn is Alexander's twin sister. Today is her birthday party."
Justin nods. He doesn't particularly respond to the idea that Xadalyn's birthday appears to be different than Alex's. I'm sure he has much bigger things confusing him at the moment. "My dad knows?"
"Yes," I smile. "We'll talk more later, or Alexander can answer your questions, too." I turn to face the bedroom door and knock before pushing it open. "Sarah? You need to get to your mom's room to get fitted for the banquet. It's almost time."
