I watch as Serena and Nathan talk in a hurried discussion. God I can't just stand here and watch them forever.

I turn my head slightly and spot the huge Crashdown sign over my parents restaurant and instantly I feel tear's prickling my eye's.

I take a few steps towards the restaurant, Nathan and Serena are so busy talking that they probably won't even notice that I've slipped away from them.

I walk a couple of blocks down and cross the street. My heart beets faster and faster as I near the restaurant.

And then I'm there, standing right in front of the door, tourists are crowding around the front of the restaurant on the terrace, waitresses dressed in lime green uniforms are going around, taking orders. Nothing's changed.

I take a deep breath, pull the door open and step inside.

"Sorry" Max whispers looking up at Isabel and me. "It's....hard...you know. Can this get any worse?"

“Man you know you got nothing to be sorry about.” I say looking over at Isabel for help when I notice the guy in the other booth. “Dude Issy don’t look now but some guy is really really checking you out.”

"THIS CONVERSATION IS OVER. I AM LEAVING."
She starts storming off and then turns round.
"whatever semi-friendship we had is over."

"Told you that you'd shout and leave" I state.

I turn around and see that Liz's left. "I'm going after her." I say before running after her.

“Man you know you got nothing to be sorry about.”
“Dude Issy don’t look now but some guy is really really checking you out.”
And then I feel it...like someone's....here....watching maybe.
I turn around to spot Isabel's mystery man when I see...
her...
I stare into those eyes I knew so well before.
The eyes that left me.
I stare at her...she's so beautiful...
Stop it! She left you Max. She ruined everything.

I spot her retreating figure go into a cafe. I quickly run to catch up and go in to the cafe.
I gently kiss her. "Hey, why did you go?" I ask.

I watch as a guy enters...and kisses her.
I blink back tears.
So she came back to crow that she moved on.
And yet I can't stop staring at her. Even as my heart breaks into tinier pieces, if thats possible.

~Liz~

I step inside the cafe and immediately I find myself staring into Max's deep brown eye's. Oh God.

And all of a sudden Nathan appears beside me. He looks down at me before kissing me gently;

"Hey, why did you go?" He asks me.

"I'm sorry, it's just, you were busy talk with Serena...and I just had to come here."

I glance back at Max slowly and swallow hard. His face is filled with pain as he looks from me to Nathan and back.

Serena

I am so tired. All I want to do is sleep. Set on asking what hotel Nathan booked us in I walk into the small cafe.

"hey what hotel are we staying in?"

And plus where there is a hotel there is a bar...and where there is a bar...there is beer. and right now i need a beer.

"I'm sorry, it's just, you were busy talk with Serena...and I just had to come here."

I nodd.

"hey what hotel are we staying in?"

"The Roswell Motel" I repeat again, still looking at Liz, so I dont have to look at Serena. "So where do we look for Max?" I ask.

I watch as another girl enters and they start talking.

"... Max?" I hear over the noise.

Crowing. Crowing how she has a boyfriend and moved on..yippee for her.

I think Im going to be sick.

"I have to...go..." I say to Kyle and Isabel before going out into the back way, ignoring Jeff telling me off and go down the back alley. I walk around the crashdown and head for my jeep.

~Liz~

"So where do we look for Max?"

Nathan asks me. I watch as Max quickly get's out of the booth and hurries towards the back room.

"That's him," I answer as I continue to stare after him. I slowly turn my head and look at Isabel and Kyle. Isabel looks mad as hell while Kyle looks completely shocked.

"That's him,"

"Ah" I say. "Well...maybe you should...go after him. Get it out of the way and all...I mean...then we can go home" I say brightly.

~Liz~

"Ah,Well...maybe you should...go after him. Get it out of the way and all...I mean...then we can go home"

"I guess I should," I say nervously. "I'll talk to you late, okay??" I say, kissing him one last time. "That's Isabel and Kyle over there," I say quickly, looking in their direction. "Think you can try talking to them for me??"

I hurry out of the Crashdown, not waiting for a response. I have to get to Max.

I spot him across the street, he's nearing his jeep. I cross the street, looking both way before crossing.

"Max, wait!" I call out before he has a chance to take off with the jeep.

"Max, wait!"
I stop and swallow hard. I here her catch up with me.
Without turning around I say "Look I get it ok? Congratulations. Your happy. Fantastic. Yes it worked, Im jealous ok? Now go back whereever you came from and just...leave me alone" I say trying not to break down right here.

"I guess I should, I'll talk to you late, okay??"
She kisses me.
"That's Isabel and Kyle over there, Think you can try talking to them for me??"
She quickly leaves. From the looks there giving me, I can tell this is not going to go well.
I walk over to them.
"Hey...erm...Im Nathan...erm...Liz said I had to talk to you...its about two..."not-from-round-here" men if you get what I mean. Liz says your all in danger"
