~LIZ~

Michael smiles at me but I'm not sure we really connected, you know what I mean? I smile back but a little less flirty like. "Michael, would you like to dance?" I ask him. One dance will tell me everything I need to know. Maybe I could hook him up with Maria if we don't work out.

~KYLE~

I shrug. "Ok by me. Their food's pretty good though." I pull her out onto the dance floor and we move for a couple of minutes in silence. "So Tess is kind of an unusual name. Is it a nickname or something?" I ask to keep the conversation flowing.

~LIZ~

I take his hand and smile happily. Standing up, I follow him to the dance floor and notice Kyle and Tess dancing a little ways away. I hold onto Michael's hand and smile and wave at the two of them.

~KYLE~

I see Michael and Liz make their way onto the dance floor and I wave before turning back to Tess and smiling, somewhat wryly. "Um, I guess it would depend on what exactly your definition of a 'nickname' is." I blush slightly as the memories of being called "pig", "jerk", "lover-boy", "playboy", and many others like those flash through my head. "Most people just call me Kyle or Valenti," I finally answer. Then there's one that flashes through my head out of the blue. It's what my mom used to call me and I feel a little nostalgic at the thought. It was "Laugh-a-lot Bear" in reference to the care-bears. She used to say that I was just such a happy kid.

I shake my head slightly to shake the memories and focus back on the present.

Isabel

Alex gets this goofy look on his face after I say Liz is like Max in a skirt.I wouldn't be surprised if he is picturing Max in a skirt,that would give any one a good laugh...heheh...even I can't help but grin at that imagery.

"Okay, since you are Max sister, I take it that you don't mean together as in ... 'together....What do you mean? Together as in dating?" he asks hesitantly and I roll my eyes

"Well don't you think it would be fun to see how those two" I vaguely wave my hand in the direction of the dance floor "react to each other?He's a playboy and she's...well a playgirl."

ALEX

That's true, they certainly are. Right now, I don't see big chances for that to happen I must admit. Max doesn't appear to be willing to come over and Liz seems to get along well with Michael.

"It might be interesting to observe Max and Liz together but when I talked to Max earlier, he made it pretty clear that he won't come over to us and who knows when they'll be in the same room again."

Isabel

"So what?" I reply with a careless shrug "If he won't come here...we can always send her to him.She loves a challenge." I give him a sly grin "All we have to do is goad her in to it by saying umm...that he wouldn't fall for her charms."

ALEX

I have to laugh at that. Isabel really seems into getting Liz and Max together ... if only for a night. Could that be one way of getting back at Max? But involving Liz in that? Judging by the look on her face, I won't be able to talk her out of it, so I better play along ... if only for damage control.

"Okay, since you seem so sure that Liz can't live with two men resisting her charms," me being the other one, "lead the way and do some matchmaking."

Isabel

"You're going to help me right?" I ask quirking an eyebrow at him and flashing him my most brilliant smile "I'll have to think of something by the time she finishes dancing with Michael."

ALEX

"What, you think you can give me a pretty smile and I help you selling out your brother?" I ask in mock outrage, looking at her shocked before starting to laugh, "Good plan!"

"I guess we should start by making a comment about Max, something like ... he watched her dancing with Michael or ... I don't know. You know Liz better, what catches her interest?"

Isabel

"What, you think you can give me a pretty smile and I help you selling out your brother?" and I give him a cheeky grin "Good plan. he says and I laugh happily

I bite my lower lips slightly as I think,"Umm...I think telling her that she will...never get a guy to ask her to marry him would do the trick.It'll arouse her compettive spirit.And Max will run the moment he thinks a girl is trying to get serious with him."

"But Alex" I reach out and grab his wrist "You have to keep this a secret,you can't tell Michael or Kyle.I'll probably tell Tess but not Maria...I might but I'm not sure yet.She amd Liz are very very close."
