"Okay, good. Well then, where do you suggest we go first?" He askes. I smile, "Well, usually we're not aloud in the labs. But, Logan, he's a teacher, lets us get away with it. But, he's not here so, are the gardens ok?" I ask.

Nick

"Well, usually we're not aloud in the labs. But, Logan, he's a teacher, lets us get away with it. But, he's not here so, are the gardens ok?" Tess asks me, and I nod, happy to possibly be going outside.

"Sure, lead the way," I tell her confidently, following her down the hall. This should be a fun way to spend some more time with 'cloud girl' so I'm up for it.

He nods his head, "Sure, lead the way," He says and I walk down the hall and he follows. As we reach the stairs I think I'll play a trick on him. I concentrate and then lift my hand and see that it's not there, perfect I say to myself and then, run down the stairs, wanting him to hear my footsteps.

Nick

We reach the stairs, and then one minute I'm watching her retreating form from behind, and the next, she's disappeared. Listening, I can hear laughter and her footfalls as she runs down the stairs, and I laughingly curse myself for forgetting she could go invisible.

"You're in for it now," I call out, chasing the sounds down the stairs. When I get to the bottom, it's quite, so I listen for breathing and pull a trick of my own, blowing a frost over the things around me. To my happiness, the frost lands on a body shaped piece of air, and I put my arms around her out of instinct, grabbing her around the wasit and shoulders.

"Got you."

"You're in for it now," He says and chases me down the stairs. As soon as he gets the the bottom I try to be a quiet as I can, suddenly things gets really cold and a pair of arms are around me, "Got you." He says and I start laughing, coming out of my invisible state.

Nick

I hear more laughter, and as the frost wears off, Tess reappears in my arms, looking really amused. I grin at her, and after a moment, release her from my grip.

"Some trick." I tell her with a smile, leaning on the wall next to her. "Almost got me."

~Tess~

He grins and releases his grip on me, "Some trick." He says with a smile and leans on the wall, "Almost got me."

"Yeah, almost." I say, smiling back. I look into his eyes, and get lost for a minute. I shake my head slightly, "Well, lets take that walk you wanted." I say.

Nick

"Yeah, almost." Tess stares at me, a smile on her face, but then I get this feeling like she's looking through me, so I shake my head and look somewhere else.

"Well, lets take that walk you wanted," She says a moment later, and I nod, again following her down the hall.

"Now, no disappearing on me this time, okay?" I joke, smoothing my hair back as we walk.

He nods his head and I start to walk towards the grand entrance of the school, "Now, no disappearing on me this time, okay?" He says behind me. I turn around and smile, "I'll try not to, but I can't promise anything." I tell him with a wink and then turn back around to open the door.

"Well, it's our dads faults, we're the way we are. They carry the mutant gene." Kyle said.

I smile and laugh a little. "So..." I said unsure of what to say.
