While I'm putting on my seatbelt, she leans across me, and I'm surprised. Could my seduction be working faster then I realized? Then I hear her screaming. "ALEX...ALEX HELP."

"Hold up," I say, pulling her back into the car. "Now who's this Alex?"

Alex

I'm laying there, wallowing in my own misery on the picnic blanket when I hear screaming coming from the direction Isabel left in.

"ALEX...ALEX HELP." Getting up quickly, I run down the trail. Was that Isabel? Because it sure sounded like Isabel. Oh god, I hope she's alright.

After a few minutes, I see a car, and I can see that Isabel is in it with some guy. This does not look good. Striding up to the car, I talk in through the open window.

"Excuse me, can you let her out of the car now?"

Isabel

"Now who's this Alex?",he asks me looking a little surprised
"He's my boyfriend whom I had just left when you grabbed me."

Before I can say anymore Alex appears in the clearing and steps up to Grant's side of the car,"Excuse me, can you let her out of the car now?"

I breath a sigh of relief,"Oh god Alex...thank god you're here.This guy won't let me go." I say quickly

Grant

"He's my boyfriend whom I had just left when you grabbed me." Boyfriend? Well, we'll have to see about that.

Just then, a guy runs up, out of breath. "Excuse me, can you let her out of the car now?"

"Well, that depends," I say, smirking at him. "Are you Alex?"



Alex

"Well, that depends, are you Alex?" The guy says, just as Isabel says, "Oh god Alex...thank god you're here.This guy won't let me go."

I step back a pace. "Yes, I'm Alex. And I want you to either let her get out of the car, or I'll have to do something drastic," I tell him, surprised at my boldness. I guess it's the extra pent up anger.



Grant

"No thanks," I say as he tells me to let her out of the car. "We're having a fun old time." I look at Isabel, staring her down. "Aren't we?"



Alex

Suddenly, he just really gets on my nerves, and I pull my arm back, clenching my fist, before, letting one fly through the open window. "Take that, asshole," I shout, before connecting with his face. "Iz, get out of the car, and run back to mine."

Isabel

"Are you Alex?",Grant asks him with a stupid self confident smirk on his face
"Yes, I'm Alex. And I want you to either let her get out of the car, or I'll have to do something drastic,"
I have never seen him like this before and I am kind of stunned watching them both

"No thanks...We're having a fun old time...Aren't we?",Grant asks me with a lecherous grin
I look at Alex in despair but what he does next surprises the life out of me,
"Take that asshole.",he punches Grant,"Iz, get out of the car, and run back to mine."

"I can't...my door won't open from the inside." I yell hysterically as I try pushing and kicking the door

Alex

"I can't...my door won't open from the inside." With the guy still dazed from my punch, I run around the door and open it, draggin Isabel out.

"Well, come on then, before he get's pissed," I tell her, heading for the car. "We can get the picnic stuff later."

Isabel

"Well, come on then, before he get's pissed...We can get the picnic stuff later." Alex says as we run back to his car hand in hand,panting and out of breath
I scramble in to the passenger side,breathing heavily,"Thank you." I tell him when he gets in

Alex

"Thank you." Isabel says as I get in the car and start it, pulling out as quick as possible before the guy can get out of the car.

"You're welcome," I say, before focusing on the road. I'm not really in the mood to talk, because I'm still mad, and now my hand hurts. I've never punched anyone before.

Isabel

"You're welcome.",comes his curt reply and stuns me in to silence
So I just focus on looking out of my window,grateful that Grant hadn't really hurt me and that I had escaped unharmed.
I shudder inwardly at what might have happened had Alex not been close by.The whole incident hadn't really sunk in yet.
I just feel really tired but now what?If I go home Mom will know I cut school.If we go back to school we might get in to trouble.

Alex

We drive for a few minutes, but then I pull over. "Iz. We can't go back to school or into town. Someone might see us." I say all of this without looking at her, except to see if she heard me. She's been looking out her window for a while now.

"Are you okay?"
