"I just wanted to talk to you. I know I'm not related to Liz but she is like a sister to me and ... one of our friends called me about Liz's sudden decision to marry and ... I guess I just want to know about your intentions towards my best friend."

So he's being a protective friend. That actually really makes me respect the guy. I give him a friendly smile as I reply, "Well Alex, depending on if she wants to, I'd like to marry Liz. I completely explained te situation to her this afternoon and I completely understand if she backs out of it. I only want her to be happy. She seems like a brilliant, special woman, and thats why I picked her. But my intentions are to let her decide if she wants to go through with this or not, and then we would get married and hopefully further down the line we'd have children together."

I smile at Max's describtion of Liz, it seems like he really cares about her and this isn't only about politics. Yes, politics are a part of it but it doesn't sound like it's the only reason. My eyebrows raise when he starts talking about kids though, wow he seems to really have plans.

"Thanks for answering me so honestly." I reply after thinking about his words. "You don't have to worry about me trying to influence Liz in her decision, I just wanted to hear about your intentions. Unlike your sister, I don't have a problem with you being Antarian and Liz Human as long as she, and of course you, are happy."

I smile at him... he really is a nice guy. "No wonder Liz likes you." I tell him. "And as far I'm concerned Alex, those are my sentiments too. If Liz is happier with her boyfriend Sean..."

I bite my lip before saying, "Speaking of.... um... I don't want to step on any ones toes... Liz and Sean... could you tell me about them? Liz didn't really tell me much, and I mean, if she's only doing this because of a rough patch... I'm sure she's not but..." I sigh knowing I'm making a mess of this. "I just need to know that if she says yes, she won't regret it later."

Sean? He's still an issue? Well, considering how many issues that guy has, it's no wonder he himself is a big issue. Smart, aren't I?

"Don't worry, if Liz says yes, then it won't be because she and Sean have a bad time - she doesn't make such important decisions on the spur of a moment."

I realize, this might also sound like Liz isn't very passionate about things but I'm hoping that Max won't think of it like this.

"Honestly, I don't really know how things between Sean and Liz are I've been away for a long time and didn't get to talk much to either Liz or Maria but ... the Liz I know wouldn't even consider this marriage if things between her and Sean are good."

I nod biting my lip. He didn't really answer what I asked... but I guess that will have to do. "So um... is there anything else you wanted to ask me?" I ask at a loss for what to say.

"Actually yes, there is more." I say after a moment. "And there'll probably be more questions, especially after talking with my and Liz's friend Maria." I chuckle slightly as I think of how curious Maria is probably going to be.

"Just ... do you want to live with Liz here? I know this is something you and Liz have to decide but I'm just curious about where I can visit her in the future if the marriage happens and ... would Liz's life change a lot after the marriage? I mean, there will be lots of press and interest about the two of you."

"Well....I don't know. We'd certainly stay in the area, but I personally wouldn't want to live in this house. It may be... well... big... but I would rather live in a place that both Liz and I could call a home. And changing Liz's life..." I scratch my ear feeling like I'm one of those people who constantly say the same things over and over again, "...Yes it would. I would hope to shelter her from the most of it... but yeah, it will be kind of a big deal for the press."

"Okay good." I say with a nod, thinking about what else I could say before heading back to Liz and Isabel. "I guess for now, I know what I wanted to know but like I said, Liz is like my sister, I might come back with more questions."

I run a hand through my hair before continuing, "Listen, I'm really not a violent guy and you seem like a nice guy otherwise Liz wouldn't be thinking about marrying you but ... if you hurt her, I'll hurt you too, no matter what powers you have."

Okay...I'm sorry but him saying that to me...kinda like a yellow chick saying it to a tiger. Not that I see myself above him but....sorry I don't think if we had a fight he would win. But saying that I'm not willing to test my theory and he's only saying it as a good friend.

"Well, I'm done with questioning so we could head back to the ladies, unless you have some questions yourself."
