I keep it up as Tess laughs, then relax my muscles in time to catch another cute wink. "Well, I like Iceman's trademark." She says, and for some reason, I don't think she's being sarcastic. Well, if I was a little more outgoing, maybe I would have said what I was thinking, something along the lines of, well, I like Cloud Girl.

But I'm not, so I just grin at her and change the topic. "So, now that you've shown me the dorm room, is there anything else worth showing me in this school?"

"There's the labs, gardens, pool, and a whole bunch of other stuff." I tell him. "Have a particular one you want to see?" I ask.

I sniff the air again and realize that the smell isn't coming from the room but from the celling. I look up. I shake my head. I gotta let this go. I walk back over to Michael, "Sorry, about that." I say.

"Nope, just something fun," I tell her with a smile, opening the dorm room door to walk out of it. "I just want to go for a walk."

Tess blushes in embarrassment, and for a second I feel bad, but then she recovers so I don't think about it any more. "Yeah, I have no place to be and I wouldn't want you to get lost." She says, and I'm glad she's going to tag along.
