Chapter 20

When Jason and Liz arrived at her house, they found Nancy with some neighbours talking and joking in the kitchen. Liz couldn't help it but got tears in her eyes when she saw her mother acting like she didn't had that terrible illness.

Only the the scarf on her head and her too thin body reminded you that she had cancer.

"Mom, I'm home." Liz said hugging her mother. "I see that you're having a great time with our friendly neighbours. Oh...and let me introduce you to a friend of mine, Jason. Jason, this is my mother Nancy and all of our neighbours." she said with a bright smile.

"Hi, nice to meet all of you. Mrs Parker, I'm very honoured to be here." he said reverently. He couldn't help it but he kept looking at Nancy. He thought that she was very courageous and already liked her very much.

"Liz your friend is a real gentleman. Jason, it's nice to meet you too. Please come in, can I get you something to drink? Maybe some tea or something else?" Nancy asked with a smile.

Nancy was worried since they had left Roswell. Liz had to leave all of her friends behind. And she shouddn't have, and nowshe was wondering if it hadn't been to hard for her daughter. This had to be a big change in her life in such a short time. But seeing her smile at this nice and handsome guy, she felt a little relieved. Her daughter seemed to get used to the Californian way of life.

"Mom, don't worry I will take care of Jason and get him a Diet Coke, his one and only favorite drink. Don't worry about us, we'll take care of ourselves." she said opening the fridge. "Oh mom, can I talk to you for one minut? I want to ask you something. If you ladies don't mind, she will be back in a minute." she said pushing her mother out of the kitchen.

"Liz, honey, slow down! What...what do you want to ask me?" Nancy asked, surprised to see Liz acting this way.

"Mom, Jason asked me to go out with him...to a concert, tonight."

"Go Liz, you spent so much time with me. Of course you can go out with this nice guy." Nancy said giving Liz a soft kiss.

"Mom, it's not a date, we're just friends. I'll explain it to you later, but are you sure? Can I leave you alone tonight, becaus I know that dad is gonna be late." she asked, worried about leaving her mother alone.

"Liz, I've told you, go out with your friend, enjoy your life a little and don't worry about me. I'm sure that Nath will stay with me. Her husband is in New York this week, so she's alone too. And dad is not coming home that late. You know he will be home by the time that you come back from the concert. Now go, and tell Jason that you are going to the concert with him. I'm sure he is waiting for your answer." she said smiling to her daughter.

"Mom, we're only friends, don't start thinking it's something else. It's hard for me and I'm not ready to date yet and he knows that." she blurted out.

Nancy cupped Liz's chin with her hand. "Honey, you don't have to hurry things, take your time and see what will happen. Try to make good choices and enjoy your life. Liz, I'm not worried about school, I know you are doing well, but you have a life beside school and Liz,....I trust you." she said pulling Liz in her arms to give her a hug.

"Thanks mom...I'm going to tell Jason."

"Liz, he looks like Max...a lot. Can you deal with that?" she asked with concern.

"I know Mom, he is like his double. You know, at first I didn't want to have anything to do with him because of that, but he was so stubborn and kind.... so I gave in. I don't want to be involved with him in any other way than just friends." she explained.

"Liz, I've told you that I trust you so.... now go, he's waiting." Nancy said.

They walked back into the kitchen and Liz was surprised to see Jason talking and laughing with the neighbours. The women found him so charming and it looked like they were under his spell. She couldn't help it and compare him with Max. They were like twins and Max could just be this charming too.

"Hmm...okay ladies, I'm sorry but I'm going to take Jason away from you for the rest of the day." she said taking his hand leading him out of the kitchen.

"Where are we going Liz? Are you going to show me your sanctuary?" he asked with a wink

"My sanctuary?" she äsked a little dumbfound.

"Your room, young lady! I want to see it once in my life." he replied flirting with her.

"In your dreams, young man! I have a lot to do before we can go to the concert and...." he cut her off.

"YES! You're coming! WHAOU!" he kept shouting unaware of the ladies in the kitchen.

Before Liz could answer, she heard her mother calling. "Liz? Is everything alright with Jason? I was afraid that he might have fainted!" she said laughing with her friends.

"It's okay mom, the young man can't believe that I agreed to go out tonight! I can handle the situation." she said putting her hand over Jason's mouth, preventing him to scream again.

"Now you, you get out of my house if you want me to be ready in time for the concert! Good byyyye!" she said closing the door behind him. A few seconds later she opened the door again to find him still on the sidewalk with a dreamy smile on his lips. Then she closed the door slowly.

NOW, A TIME TO FORGIVE CHAPTER 21 (1st PART)


This evening, Max and his friends had made the decition to let Tess fall in their trap. Max had agreed to take a big part in the out play even if he felt sick to even look at her.

"Max, I know how you feel but we need to know what happened that night, right? And Serena can't play your girlfriend forever. Tess is not that stupid, she wil eventuly find out that you two are faking it." Maria said.

"What do you want me to do? Do you want me to go out with her?" he asked exsperated.

"Max, my plan is to use your wonderful sister. We all know that she a good friend of that bitch. Tell her that you're alone tonight and that you're bored...and let's see what happens. If I know Isabel well, she'll call her friend to tell her everything." she explained.

"And Tess will come and then what?" he asked, worried to be in the same room with her. "We'll all be there Max, don't worry. We will be hiding. What I want you to do is.....kiss her.....WAIT!" she screamed since Max was already on his way out of the room crying out, "I CAN'T! Do you hear me? I CAN'T DO IT! Please Maria, don't ask me to kiss her, just talking about it is making me want to puke." he begged.

"Max, just one kiss. I want you to make her confess what she did that night. You want that too, I'm sure. You lost the love of your life because of her! Come on Max! We need to know...YOU need to know!" Maria said trying to convince Max.

"Max, she's right. I don't want you to do it either but it's a part of the trap and we need to know how she trapped you that night. Maria told you already, you lost the love of your life and we lost our best friend. She left without a word and we have no idea where she and her parents are. So do it, Max!" Michael said giving him a tap on his shoulder.

"If I agree. I say IF! Where are you going all going to hide? In the bathroom?" he asked sarcasticly.

"Look, we leave...then you go into Isabel's room to ask her what is she doing? Then you tell her that you're bored and that you are alone because everybody is out with their significant other. I'm sure she'll call her good friend to tell her. We'll be right outside, and as soon as we see her arrive, we'll come back here." Michael explained and Maria continued, "Max, make her talk about that night. Oh do you have alcohol here?" she asked.

"Of course not! I don't drink nor does Isabel. Why?" he asked. "WHY? Are you really that stupid or are you playing stupid? I want you to make her drink....a lot! I want her to not know what she's doing and for that she has to be drunk. The most important is that she forgets what she did or said to you tomorrow. She doesn't has to know that you set her up. Do you understand now?" Maria asked with a smirk.

They had decided to make Tess fall in their trapp and they needed Max's whole cooperation. Even if it disgusted him and they understood why. "Max, do you agree to play this part?" Michael urged him. "It's important for you, and for us but most of all for Liz. If she calls us one day, we'll be able to tell her the truth. She'll forgive you at once." he added staring in his eyes. Max didn't need more to be convinced, Liz's forgiveness was enough for him to make him agree to do anything.

"OKAY...Okay, I agree to play my part. I long to hear Liz's forgiveness if I have hurt her, and I need to know what happened. I'm sure I didn't sleep with Tess, and I'm sure I didn't say those words. You're right. We have to find out what happened." he said firmly.

hey! I promised and I'm here with TESS's CONFESSION. Let me tell you that I took a real pleasure to write this scene, and I hope you'll have the same reading it.

Chapter 22
Max did as he was told. He walked into Isabel's room and told her that he was bored. He did everything exactly as they had planned and he was now in his own room waiting for his sister to react the way that they expected her to do.
Thinking that his sister was such good friends with that bitch, that his sister took part in the masquerade to hurt him deeply. Isabel was his sister, his family, and she was betraying him without any doubt in her mind. Tess wanted her brother, and she was going to help her to take him away from that little mouse Liz.
Here he was, on his bed, deep in thought when the door opened. It was Isabel with Tess right behind her. He froze, even if it was what he expected but he couldn't help it but feeling a quiver and disgust to see her in his room.
"Max, I brought you someone I'm sure who will take care of your bordem. I leave you with her, she will do her best to please you." she said with a smile.
Max wanted to scream. His sister helped a whore to take advantage of him. HIS SISTER! But he screamed in his throat knowing that he had to play his part to get her to surrender and confess her crime. With all his will power, he stood up and went to welcome the monster.
"Hi Tess. I didn't know that Isabel would bother you because of me. I'm sorry..." he began, and he felt the gall rising in his throat when she clung herself to him.
"She didn't bother me, she knows that I always be here for you Maaxxx. She knows that I like you a lot. Don't you, Isabel?" she asked turning towards her friend.
"Of course I know that. Well I'm not gonna stay here with you guys, this is not my place. Bye, you two and don't make follies with your body!" she said giggling.
Max stiffened. He was boiling inside. Not with desire but with anger for his sister and disgust for that bitch that stood next to him. He put a fake smile on his face and wished a good evening to the traitor. "See you later, Is!" he said. "No, I'll be back tomorrow morning, I'll sleep overthere." she said quietly.
"Where are you staying?" he asked in agony. They had planned everything to make him fall in Tess's arms.
"At Pam's dorm. We planned to watch movies, a pyjama party." she explained.
"Without Tess? Pam's best friend. Tess, you're going to miss a good party. I can't accept that you stay with me since there is such a good party at Pam's." he said trying to untie Tess's arms from around his waist.
"Don't you worry about me Max. I'm a big girl and I can do without this pyjama party. I prefer to stay here with you. I'm sure I will enjoy this more than I could enjoy that party." she said wrapping her arms around his waist again.
"Okay, I'll be late if I stay here talking. Have a good night." Isabel said and without giving him time to react she left the appartment.
Tess tightened her grip. "So, what do you want us to do Maaxx?" she said seductively.
"Well what do you think about a drink. A glass of wine or something stronger? I'm sure we have some TEQUILA!" he shouted faking the joy he was far from feeling.
"Why not. Tequila sounds fine with me. I didn't know you like strong drinks, Maaxx." she simpered in his ear.
"There is a lot you don't know about me Tess." he said sternly, but added a fake smile. He had to remember that he had to make her fall in the trapp.
'You know we have all night to find out our secrets." she said with a devilish smirk. He saw in her eyes her will to seduce him, to have him at all costs. And he was sure that she thought that he would be hers in a few hours.
The anger he felt made him pour the Tequila in a large glass for her and he hid the water he poured for himself. "Tess, what do you think if we played like Paul Newman in his movie, you know, we could drink this glass in one shot and see who is able to hold the alcohol better? HUH?" he asked with an 'innocent' look.
"Max, are you trying to get me drunk, hoonneey?" she asked sipping her Tequila. "Because let me tell you, I hold my alcohol very well. Much better then you can." she added.
Max stiffened *would she talk without knowing it* he thought. He decided to push her a little to see if she would give away some information.
"What are you talking about Tess? I can hold my alcohol very well!" he said narrowing his eyes.
"Huh, huh." she said. "At my party you were drunk before the party even started. HA HA! You were so funny in my bathroom!" she stopped talking when she realized that she would give away to much if she continued. "Maaxxie... you're not trying to make me talk on purpose, are you?" she asked wiping her eyes to get a better look at him.
"No Tess, I could never do that to you. I'm not that kind of man who takes advantage of a girl if she is drunk." he stated staring at her.
"Do you want another glass of Tequila Tess? Yours is empty." he added.
"Why not, if you drink with me? And Maaxxie, you can take advantage of me, as long as you want to hooonney. I'll be yours." she said heavyly. She sat next to him and stroked his chest seductively. When she tried to kiss him, Max couldn't help but push her away, putting the glass of Tequila in her hand. "Here's your drink, Tess.Why don't you come and sit on the couch with me?" he asked and regreted it imidiately when he saw her hungry look roaming his body.
"Okay Max, I'm sitting. Come, I want to feel you and hold you." she simpered. Her eyes blurring more and more because of the alcohol.
Max sad next to her. "Tess, have we slept together that night?" he asked speaking softly in her ear.
Tess thought that Max was trying to seduce her, and wrapped her arms around his neck and lifted herself to kiss him, but Max stopt her. "NO, no. I need to know." he murmured.
"Max, you're trying to get in my pants, but if you keep questioning me it's not going to happen soon. Come here, we will talk later." she said getting more and more drunk.
"Tess, look at me, I need to know. I need to know what happened that night. Have I lost my virginity with you that night? It's important for me to know." he said nibbling her ear. Luckyly she couldn't see his disgusted look.
"Hmmmm, Maaxx! You know how to talk to a woman.You're still a virgin?" she said with a greedy look. "Hmmm, I didn't know that. Come I'll show you how to release all the desire you have in your blood." She said sucking his neck.
"So we didn't sleep together that night?" he asked. Scared that he had misunderstood what she had said. "NOPE. You went to my bathroom to throw up. But tonight, you're ready to make that step and Aunty Tess will be here to show you and give you all the pleasure you want." she said kissing him. Putiing her hand on his lower body starting to stroke him. (beurk! beurk!)
Max jumped of the couch disgusted. "Tess, this is going to fast for me!" he faked.
"Oh come on Max! You're not a little boy anymore. Come and you'll see how delicious it can be to release all that desire I feel from you. You're so tense." she said standing up.
She stood next to him and started to stroke him again. Max stopped her. He had no intention to let her do what she wanted, but she had to talk. "Tess, please. Could you stop. I can't concentrate if you keep stroking me like that. Baby (beurk) I want to know what happened that night, because I can't get it out off my mind. Help me remember pleaseee. I will do everything you want after that." he said, cursing her to force him to play this horrible game.
He took her hand and led her back to the couch. "Tell me Tess. I have to know before I give myself to you, don't you think so?" he lured and restrained himself from fleeing when he saw the look of lust in her eyes. He saw the 'I'm going to have Max Evans' look in her eyes. And despite his disgust he continued. "Tess, don't you think I deserve to know, now?"
"You have to kiss me first and then I'll tell you everything." she said licking her lips. He bent down towards her lips and it took all of his willpower and all the love he felt for Liz to find the strength to kiss her. When she slid her tongue in his mouth he couldn't stand it no more and pushed her away slowly but firmly. He restrained himself from wiping him mouth to erase the kiss. "Tess, you promised. Tell me, please." he begged.
He was so eager to find the truth that he quiverd. Tess misunderstood that and licked her lips again, but gave in. "Okay Max. I'm gonna tell you the truth. we didn't sleep together.... yet." she paused looking at him to see his reaction.
Max shook his head amazed. "NO? We didn't? Are you sure?" he urged her.
Tess burst out laughing. "Max, if I didn't know any better, I would think that you're relieved to hear that. Tell me Maaxxie, are you relieved to hear that we haven't slept together?' she asked narrowing her eyes.
"No of course not! I'm just amazed. But I knew that you wouldn't take advantage of me if I was drunk and unable to move." he said quickly, when he realized that she could get angry with is reaction. "But tell me, what happened then?" he asked.
"Max, you're not with Liz anymore? Are you?" she asked.
"No, I never was. You thought I was, but she was a friend. Just a friend." he said trying to hide the pain he felt in his heart.
"You're with Serena then?" she asked again. "No , Sean called her back and she doesn't know who she loves. We agreed to take a step back." he lied.
"So you're free as the wind?" she asked with a devilish look in her eyes. "Give me some Tequila Max, my glass is empty and I'm thirsty." she said lifting her glass to him. "We have something to celebrate tonight." she stated.
"Something to celebrate? What?" he asked surprised.
"You're going to lose your virginity and it will be with me,Tess. Give me more, Max!" she said.
Max gulped *NEVER!!!! Even if I have lost Liz forever....NEVER!!! I would never give myself to that whore* he thought adding a large amount of Tequila in her glass.
"Tess before you drink the whole bottle, please tell me what happend that nigh?" he begged again.
"Okay, I knew you were in my bathroom. I locked the door. Then I went to the second room and opened the window. I knew Kyle was with Liz in the garden. I saw them sitting on the bench. The rest was easy for me to make Liz believe that you had cheated on her... Give me more Max, I've talked a lot. I'm thirsty." she whined.
"Finish your story Tess. I'm very interested to know how you made fun of Liz!" He said, waiting for the end of that disgusting story.
"You're a devil! You better be a God in bed Max, because I'm giving away a lot tonight." she said with a heavy laugh. "I'll do my best, count on me.. SO?" he urged her on.
"Okaaay. I had recordered your voice a lot of times, saying different things. With the help of a friend I mixed all what you said and I sat under the window and I faked a love making scene between you and me." she said closing her eyes to remember the pleasure she had when she had seen the look on Liz's face. It felt like a pure joy.
Max looked at her as if she was the most horrible monster he had ever seen. At the same time he was happy to know that he hadn't slept with that monster, that he was still whole to give himself to Liz when she comes back. He looked at Tess when she opened her eyes. He put a fake smile on his face. "I'm good, aren't I? Now give me the Tequila, I deserve to rinse my throat with it."
Max put the last of the bottle in her glass. "Yes, you deserve that Tequila." he said. *You deserve hell if you want too* he thought.
He looked at her drinking all the Tequila in one shot, then she turned her blured look to him with surprize in her eyes. "I think that you would have to wait a little Max, I don't think I'll be able to....." and without finishing her sentence she collapsed on the couch. Completely out!
Max took his phone and called Michael. "Mike, it's okay. She's out, could you come and help me to carry her to her room?"
"Of course. Did she tell you everything?" he asked.
"Yeah, but please come and let's get rid of this whore. I'll explain everything later to you and Maria." he said.
"We're coming!" Michael stated.
After they carried Tess to her room, they went back to his place and he told them everything he had heard from Tess.
"What a devil! That girl is completely crazy!" Maria said dumbfounded. "I knew that she was weird but like this? She is obsessed with you Max, that's the only explenation." she added with sorrow in her eyes. "If only Liz could be here......"and tears started to form in her eyes.
"She will come back. I swear that as soon as she calls I'll tell her everything and she will know that I didn't cheat on her." he said smilling. He was completely relieved to know that he didn't do anything wrong that night, that he was still the same. Now the only thing he was living for was Liz's return, to tell her the truth and be with her forever.

hey, I've another chapter ready (thanks to Bixie) and I want to post it before i go to bed.

I left Max and the others for a while to go and see what happens in Liz's life. Let me tell you that it's not calm neither!

Chapter 23

While Max and his friends were finding out the truth about that night, Liz was preparing herself to go out with Jason.

" Liz, I'm happy that you're taking some time to enjoy your life. Honey, I was scared that you were staying here just thinking about Max and the others. Jason is a decent guy and I'm sure he won't hurt you. I saw the way he was looking at you." Nancy said as she stept in Liz's room.

" Mom, I want to take things slow with Jason. We are just friends for now..." she started but her mom cut her off.

" You're crazy if you think he is just a friend to you. I saw him devouring you with his eyes. He is much more than a friend Liz, and if you don't feel the same way, you have to tell him. Don't let him get his hopes up that he starts to believe that this can become more then just friends between you two." she said with a glare. " I don't want you to hurt him Liz. Tell him tonight." she added.

" Mom, I think you have to much of a romantic view on my relationship with Jason. He just broke up with his girlfriend, he can't have those feelings you think he has for me. He likes me, I'm sure and I like him too, but nothing more for now. We just enjoy each others company and we get along very well. That's all." she said looking straight in her mom's eyes.

" And what about Max?" Nancy said and felt a tear at her heart when she saw the look of pure pain in her daughter's eyes.

" I don't want to talk about Max now, mom. I'm here in L.A. and he is in Las Cruzes. And that's a good thing. Mom, I'm not ready and Jason is going to be here any minute to pick me up." she said not wanting to let this conversation to go on.

" Liz, you can't make your problems disappear by not talking about them. But like you said, Jason is coming, so I will let you get dressed. But this conversation is not over Liz, we are gonna talk about this soon. Honey, don't let it screw up your life." she said as she walked out of the room.

" I won't mom. I'll come and see you before I leave." she said kissing her on the cheek.

She stood there looking at her image in the mirror. 'Max.... I wonder what you are doing now. Are you with that bitch Tess? Are you sad because you don't know where I am? And the others, Maria, who is like a sister to me.....Alex.....Michael... I miss them so much!!' she thought and the tears rolled down her cheeks.

The ring of her cell-phone startled her and she wiped the tears away as if she wanted to hide them. " Hello?" she said with a huskiy voice.

" Liz, it's me. Are you ready? Can I come over to pick you up?" Jason asked. He was so eager to see her again, he was so drawn to her that he couldn't bear to be away from her for too long.

" Jason? It's early. Are you in such a hurry to see me again?" she asked laughing.

"Actually, yes Liz. I miss you." he confessed shyly. " Hmmm.....are you ready?" he asked again.

" Give me...... okay you know what? I'll be ready by the time you get here." she said, happy to see him so eager to be with her.

" I'll be there in 10 minutes!" he said laughing. He was relieved that Liz was not upset by his behavior. He didn't understand the feelings he had when he was not with her. He never felt this way with Ava or any other girl. 'Liz is special, that's the reason' he thought taking his jacket on his way out.

He was stopped by Ava, who stood right in front of his door. " Ava? What are you doing here?" he asked roughly. " I've told you that it's over between us. Why do you keep coming after me and annoy me?" he asked again.

" Jason, I know what you said, but I think we should go into your room and talk like two adults. I've something important to tell you." she said trying to step into the room.

" Ava, I have to go and I have no time to talk to you. If you want to talk we can get together tomorrow, but not in my room. We can meet in the park or on campus." he said closing his door.

Jason looked at her coldly, he'd better hear what she has to say, if he didn't do it she wouldn't stop bothering him. He opened the door and let her walk into his room.

" Okay, we're here now. So tell me what you have to say and then leave. I'm late." he said roughly.

" Whaou! Is it the little mouse I saw you with the last time? She doesn't deserve a man like you Jason. You're wasting your time with her, according with what I heard." she said with contempt.

" Ava, I agreed to talk to you because you said you had something important to tell me which couldn't wait until tomorrow....Now tell me and leave!" he said grabbing her arm to push her to the door.

" I'M PREGNANT!!" she screamed.

Jason released her arm like if he just got burnt. He looked at her, not believing a word she just said. " I don't believe you. You're saying that because of Liz. YOU ARE A LIAR!!" he screamed.

" So, Liz she is ........Interesting! Anyway, Jason I won't lie about something so important. I'm pregnant and it's yours." she stated with her fists on her hips.

" That's impossible! We broke up.... about 3 months ago or more. I don't know." he said completely shocked. He couldn't believe that she was telling him the truth. " And what about Rath? The baby must be his. You cheated on me with him, remember?" he asked triumphly.

" Nope. My pregnancy is from before Rath. Believe me he 's not happy to know that I'm carrying your baby since I'm...... huh.... with him." she said.

" You are really disgusting, Ava. I don't want anything to do with you, and that baby is not mine. You really thought that you could get me back this way, well let me desillusion you!!" he said with a smirk. " Now if you have nothing more to tell me, I have a girlfriend who is waiting for me and I have no intensions to disappoint her." he added pushing her again towards the door.

" Jason, it's yours and I won't leave this room until we talk about our up comming wedding." she said seriously.

" WHAT??? You can't be serious! Me geting married to you? I would rather die before I will marry you. You can keep your bastard and your monkey to yourself! I won't have nothing to do with it and that goes for you too. Now leave my room or I will show you a different Jason, and you don't want that. Get out of here before I lose my patience!" He said throwing her out of his room.

" If you think that you can throw me out of your room like that Jason, you got it all wrong. I'll find a way to make you pay for tonight. and believe me, you will say goodbye to your little happiness with that bitch, when I'll done with you." she said threatening.

" Don't come near Liz!! If you do anything to hurt her you will regret it, Ava. You have some secrets that I'm sure you wouldn't want me to tell them to the police. I will do it if you threaten Liz, and I'll do it without any scruple. Am I clear?!!!" he said infuriated.

" Jason, I'm not scared of you. If you want to protect your new pet, then do it. I'll do what I have to do." she said before leaving.

Jason leaned against the door and closed his eyes. 'What just happened here. I was happy to go out with Liz and that bitch screwed it up. She won't win. I won't let her.' he thought.

He took a long breath and closed his door. Liz was waiting for him.

Chapter 24

He arrived at Liz's house amd was surprised to see her mother open the door. He was still in shock about what Ava told him. He was startled when he found himself standing in front of Liz's mother.

When she heard him gasp, Nancy smilled. "I didn't know that I was so scary, Jason. I'm sorry if you were expecting Liz, but she is finishing getting dressed." she said as she let him step inside.

"Nooo! Of course you're not scary Mrs.Parker. I'm sorry, I was just engrossed in my thoughts." he said apologizing. He felt his cheeks blush under her scrutiny.

Nancy was surprised to see a man like Jason blush, she wanted to tease him a little, she liked him and decided to find out why he was so red.

"You are blushing, Jason. I hope that you weren't thinking about something involving my daughter?" she asked with a fake sterny tone.

"NO...NO...NO! Mrs.Parker, I respect Liz and ...No I wasn't thinking about her...." he blurted out, blushing even more when he realized what he just said.

"That's not fair to my daughter, young man!" she said surprised. He looked really embarrassed.

"That was not what I was trying to say, Mrs.Parker. I think a lot about Liz, I like her...very...much... but I've heard something that disturbed me before I came here, and to tell you the truth I wasn't expecting to see you open the door yourself." he tried to explain but he knew he was rambling. *DAMN AVA!* he thought. His thoughts were interrupted by a movement behind Nancy. Liz.

He gasped again, seeing Liz this time. She was so beautiful! Casually dressed, black trousers and a black top which showed her taned shoulders. She had her hair high on her head in a ponytail, and not to much make-up, and those magnificent doe eyes.

"He hasn't stopped gasping since he arrived, Liz. I'm worried about your boyfriend." Nancy said, and Jason hearing the word 'boyfriend' gasped again. "HA! See what I mean?" she asked laughing.

"Mom, stop teasing poor Jason!" she said laughing with her mother. She was happy to see her mother enjoying herself and laughing again. "Look, you're making him blush." she continued.

"That's not because of me. He is been blushing since he arrived! Liz, my girl, I don't know if it's a good idea to let you go out with this young man." she said. "You'd better cancel." she added with a bright smile.

"Nooo, please Mrs.Parker. I'm not gasping a lot and I'm sure I'm not blushing that much.....I think you take a real pleasure in teasing me." he said blushing for his boldness.

"You're blushing again." Liz whispered. "We'd better go if we don't want to be late for the concert."

"Right. Yes. Mrs.Parker, if you would allow us...." he begged blushing again under her gaze.

"Okay, Jason. I hope you will behave better with Liz, and get those thoughts out of your mind, young man." she lectured him.

"I don't....." he started, but Liz and Nacy bursted out laughing. He straightend himself, a little upset. Then thinking that Nancy had laughed at him and appeared to be happy, he forgot everything and started laughing with them.

Then they got out. In the car Liz felt that he was tence. "Jason, I hope you're not angry about what my mother did? I mean, she was just joking." she tried to explain.

"Liz, I know that and I'm happy to see her laughing. I don't mind if she makes fun of me since she took a real pleasure in doing so." he assured her with a smile.

"Why are you upset then?" she asked abrubtly.

"What?" he asked frozen.

"Jason. I know you and I know when you're upset... So spill it! What happened to you?" she urged him. He looked at her and brushed her soft cheek with his thumb. "It's really nothing, Liz."

"If you say so, I can't force you." she pouted and turned her face to look out the window. If Jason didn't trust her enough to tell her what bothered him, she couldn't force him, but she felt upset.

"Liz, I don't want to ruin this beautiful night....Okay, you win, I will tell you." he said and he blushed again under her scrutiny. "Don't look at me like that, Liz. You look so much like youre mother, it's scary." he said laughing. Then he got serious and started to tell her about Ava.

"Liz, before I came here, Ava paid me a visit. I refused to let her in, but she told me that it would only take a few minutes. She had something important to tell me. But believe me, it's impossible, it's not true." he said anxiously.

"Jason, calm down. I believe you, you don't have to start panicking! It looks like what she said to you has shocked you, so breathe and tell me. I'm your friend, Jason." she said softly.

"I know. Liz, before I go on, I would like to tell you that for me.....hummm.....you are more than a friend." he said and took her hand when he heard her gasp. "I know we said 'just friends' , but I can't lie to you.....I love you." he whispered.

Liz was shocked, she couldn't believe that Jason could love her. Her heart was racing and she felt like she was hyperventilating. "Liz, are you okay? Honey, I'm sorry......" he pleaded.

"Jason, I don't want to talk about this right now. I'm sorry. I'm not rejecting you but it's only that I need to think about it.....Jason you were talking about Tess... huhh sorry...I mean Ava." she said cursing herself for her mistake.

"Tess? Who is Tess?" he asked, but seeing that he wouldn't get an answer, he took a breathe and started to tell. "She came to tel me something, I know it's impossible, she can't...." he said harsly but Liz finished for him.

"She told you she was pregnant!" she said straightly.

He looked at her, completely amazed. "How did you know?" he panted.

"You are so tense! You are so cautious with telling me, that it came to me suddenly. What else could she tell you to make you feel so miserable." she said quietly.

"And what do think about it? Do you think it's possible? Do you think that I could have slept with her after I found out that she was cheating on me with my friend Rath?" he asked angry.

"Jason, what do you feel for her now? Are you still in love with her?" she inquiered.

"I love YOU, Liz. I don't feel anything for her...." he cried but she cut him off. "Jason this is not about me. It's about you and Tess! Shit! Ava....I mean Ava." she blurted blushing.

"Liz, please. Who is Tess? You keep making this mistake with the names!" he asked anxious.

Jason, I've told you, I don't want to talk about it. Just know that it's a long story and your Ava and Tess seem to be the same person, or almost the same. Do you know if Ava has a twin?" she asked. "They are so much alike, physically and in mind, that I'm starting to believe that she has followed me here, but I know that's impossible." she added.

Jason kept looking at her dumbfounded. "A twin? I really don't know Liz, but if you known a girl like Ava, I'm sure that she tried to screw up your life. She has evil in her blood." he added shivering.

"Jason, are you sure that the child is not yours?" she asked, and in her mind she wondered if Tess would do the same with Max. She shrugged.*Max and Tess are probabley dating now* she was certain and shook her head to forget her pain.

"I'm as sure as I can see you right in front of me, Liz." he swore. "We broke up when I found out that she cheated on me with that jackass named Rath, 3 months ago. I think that Ava found out that she was pregenant with Rath's child, but I will make a better husband, wealthier than Rath, so she came to me and served me that big lie." he said with a smirk.

"I'm not interested in your wealth Jason, if you were thinking about that." she said staring into his eyes, daring.

Jason blushed. "No Liz, I was thinking about the difference between you and her.... Come on, let's go to that concert and forget about Ava and all the girls like her. I want you to enjoy this night Liz, and I will do my best to make that happen." he said starting the car.

They drove in comfortable silence, each in their own thoughts. *Jason said he loved me. I like him very much, but I'm not in love with him...am I? I'm just confused because Max and Jason look like twins....okay, let's enjoy the concert. Tomorrow will be another day.*

Next to her, Jason was also lost in his thoughts.* I would kill Ava, If I could. Compared to Liz, she is a real evil bitch!....Liz....I've told her that I love her but she didn't even acknowledged it, I'm just a friend to her!* he sighed sadly.

"Tess! Tess! Wake up! What are you doing here. I thought you would be in my brothers bed by now." Isabel said shaking Tess trying to wake her up.

"W....what? Please Is.... don't yell to me...ouch! I think my head is going to explode!" Tess answered trying to get up.

"What happened and why are you here? I left you last night in Max's room, and now I find you here, fully dressed and it looks like you drank a lot... Look, go to the bathroom and take a shower, we'll talk later." she said helping Tess to stand up and guide her to the bathroom. "I don't know what you drank, but you're completely wasted. Maybe you should stay in bed and sleep some more. I'll come back later."

"A bottle of tequila.." Tess said throwing herself on the bed.

"WHAT? A whole bottle of tequila? You should be dead after drinking that much. What about Max, did he drink with you? Maybe I should go and check on him." she said a little worried.

"I don't know if he drank with me, I don't remember. I don't remember anything. Let me sleep Is, I'm tired." she replied with a sleepy voice.

"Okay, I'm going to see what happened to my brother and see if he is in the same condition as you are. I assume you didn't sleep with him, again. Or maybe you did, but how did you end up here in your own bed?" she asked and seeing that her friend wasn't going to answer, she left the room and headed for Max's.

Max sat in his room, talking to Michael and Maria. "What do you think she is doing now?" he asked.

"Sleeping or throwing her guts out after all the tequila she drank. Why? Do you worry about her?" Michael asked. He was happy that Tess confessed what she did to Max that night. Happy to see that his best friend was innocent, even if Liz had disappeared for now. He was just simply happy for his friend.

"I don't worry about Tess. I was just wondering what she could be doing, because I don't want her to come here and ask for an explanation...."

He couldn't finish his sentence because the door opened suddenly and a furious Isabel walked in. "What did you do to my friend, you asshole!" she asked Max. She was infuriated to see him talking quietly with those loosers, when her friend was in bed sleeping, too drunk to say a word.

"I'm doing fine Isabel, thank you." Max retorted ironicaly. He knew that his sister left his room on purpose last night and decided to wait and see what she was up too.

"I'm not in the mood for this, Max. What did you do to Tess? I left her in your room, safely and now I find her drunk, sleeping in her own room. I want an explanation." she said with her hands on her hips. Her eyes shooting daggers to her brother.

The 3 friends looked at her dumbfounded, and Maria and Michael felt bad for Max. His own sister had schemed with that bitch to throw her into his arms, and now she just walked in and started yelling to him as if he was guilty of something. Maria got angry and walked toward Isabel, also with her hands on her hips.

"You're a bitch just like your friend, you know that. You don't deserve to have such a wonderful brother like Max. If you were my sister, I would punch your lights out for what you did. How dare you to do something like this behind his back, and with that whore none the less. Max is too smart to fall into your little traps and he's too smart to even find your friend worth looking at. You have failed, Isabel. You know that you can be considered a pimp, the way you've been acting." she screamed, unable to restrain her anger for Max's sister.

"Max, are you going to allow this little shit to talk to me like that. I'm your sister!" she stated sternly.

"ARE YOU? I don't remember you acting like a sister when you left this room last night, well knowing what Tess had in mind. But Maria is right, you planed this with her. I could let you get arrested for being a pimp, so tell me, what did Tess gave you in exchange to be with me? I wonder why you agreed to leave me here alone with her, for her to have her way with me. Tell me Is, what did she promise you?" he yelled, hurt to see his own sister handing him over to that whore.

"I've nothing to say to you Max, or to your bitch! Tess is my best friend and she wants you. Believe it or not, but I'll do anything for her to have you. Wake up little brother, your prefect Liz is gone and if Tess is kind enough to be interested in your little person, it's her choice and I made a promise to myself to get you away from that little mousy bitch that you're infatuated with." she said and tried to walk out of the room.

Michael was shocked to hear what she just said, just like Max and Maria. But he was the only one able to stop Isabel from leaving the room, and that's what he did. He leaned against the door with a smirk on his face. "Where do you think that you are going, Isabel? After what you just said to Max, I can't let you leave." he said with a sugary voice.

Isabel looked at Michael with fear in her eyes, and then looked at Max for help. "You wouldn't let your friend hit your sister, Max, would you?" she asked with panick in her voice.

"I'm sorry Isabel. I've some things to do and I don't think that Michael will hit you, he doesn't want to get his hands dirty on your ugly face. So I don't have to worry about you, I'm just leaving you in save hands." he said and walked out of the room.

"MAAAXXX! COME BACK HERE!!! You can't leave me alone with them! MAAAXXX!" she kept yelling, but he was too far away to hear her, or even interested in listening to her.

hello guys! I'm back with a new chapter after a very very long break. I'm sorry I was so engrossed by the other fics, that I forgot about this one.
Tonight, I wrote a chapter, I hope you'll like it.

I just want to remind you that, in the previous part, Isabel came to yell at Max when she found her best friend, drunk in her room, actually her set up didn't work and she's blaming her brother.
Max has left the room and Isabel is now facing Hurricane Maria and Michael.....

Bixie- I knew that you'd like the treatment I reserved to Tess, she's really not your favorite. But Isabel is guilty too, she was the one who helped the monster to try to get her own brother..and yes Hurricane Maria and Michael are there to take a good care of her.

Chapter 26

As soon as the door was close, Maria grabbed Isabel and made her sitting down on a chair "Now that we're alone, we're going to have a little discussion....So, you did your best for Tess to have your brother, didn't you? What kind of girl are you? What kind of sister are you? You wanted your brother raped by this psychopath! Are you as vicious as her to throw your own brother into her arms?" Maria asked.

Isabel didn't even look at her and acted like if Maria was annoying her, she was looking at the ceiling not deigning to answer. She was thinking that if she kept ignoring that stupid girl, she would stop to annoy her with her stupid questions.

She felt confident cause Maria was thinner than her, so if she was begining to threat her, she only had to stand up to scare her.

All of sudden, she felt 2 strong arms hold her tight "Hey!..." she cried out but she closed her mouth when she saw Michael's eyes. If he had the power to blast her with his eyes she would be dead for the moment.

"Listen to me, you bitch! If you dare to play with Maria like you just did, I'll break you neck in less time that you need to scream. You better tell her what did you plan with that psycho girl if you don't want to have to do with me." he said with hatred in his eyes.

"Michael, look we were friends before you met those girls. You, Max and me are always together and that was fine. You won't hurt an old friend of you to please that girl, will you?" she asked with a flirtatous tone.

Michael saw red. He gripped her shoulders and despite her height, he shook her like an old branch. "Isabel, I'm not your friend anymore. You betrayed your brother for a whore without mercy for your own family. I'll let Maria do whatever she wants like you did with Tess." he said looking at her into her eyes.

Maria smirked, she was lucky that Michael supported her. She was going to ask her again but Michael stopped her "One minute Maria. I want to add, for the record, that Maria and Liz are more important for Max and me that you've ever been. There is not a chance that I'll help you against her. If I had to beat you, I'll do it with pleasure. The old Isabel is dead for me like you're dead for your brother. Is that clear for you?" he inquired.

Isabel was shocked. She's dead for her brother and Michael! But Maria didn't let her breathe she came back to harrass her with her questions.

"So we know what that whore did to Max to trap him at her party, what was your part? What did you do for her to drug Max? What did you do for Liz to believe that Max was really with that whore that night? Talk! And you better tell the truth if you don't want to be punched!" she threatened.

Isabel looked at Maria then at Michael, she knew that they won't stop until they have what they want, but she won't give up so easily, they deserve to burn in hell and she's going to show them what hell looks like. She didn't answer, just staring at Maria with contempt.

"Isabel, you better answer, I'm not joking and I don't think that Michael did. So what was your part in all that mess?" she insisted.

As Isabel was still silent, Michael came close "Isabel! you better tell us or I swear that for the first time in my life I'll beat a girl!" he said lifting his fist near to her face.

"You won't do it Michael, I know you!" she replied confident.
"Don't push me too much Is, or I'll forget who you are!" he said shaking her again.

She looked at him and for the first time she was scared...*Michael, our friend since so long was able to hurt me for that crazy girl! Who would have thought that from him?* she thought.

"Repeat your question, I forgot what you wanted to know!" she said sternly.
"Are you kidding me?" Maria fumed
"If you want me to answer...you better repeat." Isabel said ironically. She had decided to answer but she wouldn't give up without annoying her first.

But she forgot that Maria was worse than her when she wanted. "You won't play with me Isabel, I won't give that pleasure!!. You don't deserve a brother like Max, so I let you the choice, or you tell me what was your part in that trap, or I let the Sheriff Valenti take a good care of you. You're not a minor anymore, so I'll tell him that you trapped your own brother in his room for Tess to rape him and you'll see what will happen to you." she said quietly to show her how serious she was.

"He won't believe you! I'm sure that the Sheriff knows how crazy you are Maria! He won't waste his time with you, I'm sure!" she said with a rest of confidence.

"Do you want me to call him to see if he'll believe me or not. And for the record, don't forget that Kyle was there that night, he wanted to call his father to arrest Max, but when we'll tell him that all that story was a set up..That you trapped your own brother for that whore, believe me, he'll call his father. And Sheriff Valenti always believes what his son says.....Do you want to try Isabel?" she asked putting her fists on her hips, threatening.

Isabel didn't answer, she was thinking about a way to get out of this mess. She doesn't want to confess her part, she doesn't want to betray her best friend....but more than anything, she doesn't want to face the sheriff. *I'm not a criminal.*

"OK...Maria you won, this time. I'm going to tell you what you want to know about that night...." she said reluctantly.

"And about last night too!" Maria added, taking advantage that Isabel was scared.

"Ok...I'll tell you everything." she said defeated. "But you won't like what I'm going to say."

"It's not your problem, talk!"

Chapter 27

Maria and Michael were silent. They wanted to put Isabel on pressure to confess her part in the trick she and her good friend Tess tried to get Max.
Isabel looked at them, waiting for them to talk. She didn't know where to begin since she was working for Max and Liz break up since long time. "So what do you want to know?" she asked trying to waste time.

"We're waiting for you, Isabel. You have to talk, not us. So stop your comedy and talk!" Michael said harshly.
"Michael you don't have to..."
"TALK OR I SWEAR THAT YOU'LL BE THE FIRST GIRL I WILL EVER BEAT!!!" Michael howled.

Isabel startled and for the first time in her life she was scared of her so long friend Michael. She closed her eyes, tried to concentrate and began.

"You know that I was not Liz's fan since the begining, I can't stand her! She's so perfect, the best student...the best parents's girl...the best friend....I'm sure she would have been the best girlfriend if I let her time enough to date Max.....But....But I've decided that Liz wouldn't have my brother. Me alive, they would be apart...." she said and paused to see Michael and Maria's reactions.

To tell the truth, she didn't care of Maria's, all that mattered her was Michael's reaction. "You played with your brother happiness without any regrets don't you? Who did you think you were G-d? You're not, G-d is stronger than you, they maybe not together for the moment, but they won't stay apart for long...As soon as Liz will be back...you'll see. And I want to be here to see your face!" he said furious.

"So when I saw that Max was only interested in Liz, that he rejected my friend, I swore to myself that Liz would pay for that. With Tess, we tried to find a way to make him fall in the trapp. My chance happened when one day, Max didn't know that I was at home, he was in the bathroom doing disgusting things...eeerrkk! "HOW DARE YOU?? Tess is my best friend and she loves me as much as I do. Don't ever come and talk this way about my best friend. Maybe I'm compelled to confess everything to you because I don't want any problem with the sheriff, but you have no right to denigrate my best friend!" she yelled angry.

This time Maria couldn't repress her yearning to slap Isabel and even if she was taller. With all her energy and rage she slapped her. Isabel was so shocked that she only could stare at Maria.

"That's because you didn't stop to denigrate OUR best friend Liz since long. I feel relieved now and if you say another word on Liz, believe me, despite your height, your weight or anything else, I'll beat you with all my energy. And you'll remember me." she said enraged.

Michael was whitnessing the fight and was amazed to see his girlfriend being beside herself. He knows that she had a temper, and what temper! But that? He never saw her like this, neither Isabel.

"You slapped me?" Isabel said and she turned around toward Michael "And you, you are sitting here not daring to stop that crazy woman to assault me? What if she had killed me? Would you have sat quietly and looked without moving an inch?" she asked really shocked. She couldn't believe that Michael didn't move.

"Completely. Let me tell you something Is. I'll let Maria do whatever she wants with you cause I've any mercy for you. Not anymore. I've told you, Is, you're dead for me since what you did to Max....By the way, the story is not finished. Go on!" he ordered with an icy look.

Isabel understood that she had nothing to wait from her old friend. She lost his friendship, she lost everything. She bent her head, restraining herself to cry...then she lifted her head and looked straight in his eyes. She tried to intimidate him but she failed. "Go on Isabel, and don't try your icequeen look on me, that doesn't work." he said.

"Where was I?" she asked a little dizzy. "You said that Tess didn't promise anything to you for having Max!" Michael said coldly.
"Yeah...I mean no, she didn't promise anything and that was not the purpose. Ok, let's finish that, I'm tired. I registered every word Max said that day and I kept register his words every times I could. Then with a friend's help, we mixed everything and that's almost what Liz has heard that night."

"How Max has been drugged? Who has the drug you or Tess?" he asked again
"Michael, you're not so naive! Every one can provide you if you pay. Tess has another friend and he gave her something to make Max feel dizzy and drunk."

"You mean that he didn't drink that night?" Maria asked dumbfounded. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"If you mean alcohol, no. There was no alcohol at the party, at least there was but not in the punch Max drank. Tess asked the man at the bar to add the drug in his glass."

"And she did her best to make Max and Liz apart during the evening...."

Michael looked at her shocked, that was Isabel Evans he had in front of him, Max's sister! He couldn't admit that she has been able to trapp her brother for her friend. She's the pimp here. "Isabel, does Max ever do something to you that you begrudge him till now? "YOU'RE CRAZY!! NEVER! DO YOU HEAR ME? NEVER TESS WOULD DUMP ME! I'M HER BEST FRIEND, HER SISTER!" Isabel was crying now.

"Why do you cry Isabel? Are you thinking that maybe Michael is right? That this fantastic friend is not worth it to risk something like jail for her! Why do you cry Isabel?" Maria insisted.

"I did what I have to do to help my best friend to be with the man she was loving. I didn't want Liz to have Max and I still do. I would do anything to keep them apart and I'd do it again if I could! I hate her!"
