chapter 19

Ok so it was sweet we acted like two shy teenagers on there first date, I guess that’s cause we are! But any way we shared a bowl of fries my evil step mother and my father were no where in sight. We didn’t talk much but it wasn’t uncomfortable, it was nice. We talked a little shared looks and when he had to leave he brushed the back of his hand across my cheek! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.


Alright enough with the sweetness I’m going to send myself into sugar shock, but that’s Max he makes me blush and giggle-who the hell does that anymore! Ok no more gooey thoughts I have a date with a soldier so pants it is!.
Brendan knows how much I love riding his bike. I was so scared the first time he got it I always refused to ride it! Till one day when Ava she is a friend of ours Brendan’s some time girl, she lives in New York now. But anyways sidetracked she got into some trouble and I didn’t even think and jumped right on what Bren affectionately named the soldier!


She was ok, we heard she was in hospital and that was it, we both just needed to get there I was sooo scared I didn’t even think! But it turns out her grandfather had a fall and hurt his hip nothing serious. Boy do I get into the story; the fact is after that I wasn’t afraid anymore it was amazing, amazingly scary but amazing.
It feels so free I still get scared but I like the feeling of it all. Bren knows this and we used to take rides out in the desert together. That was incredible just hop on soldier and drive till you can see nothing but dirt and stars we lay back and just enjoy the emptiness of it all no chaos no hassle just us and the stars.


Oh crap its already seven ok dressed and ready and there is the grunt of his motorbike mmmmmmmmm can’t help but grin at that. I run down stairs leaving a note for dad even though I haven’t seen him in 2 days. But I run thought the crash right passed the gang.
“Hey honey bunch where you going in such a hurry?”
I look and I can tell that everyone there has given Max a grilling about the ‘us’ situation and I’m next in line…
“Actually Michael dearest I have a date with a motor cycle and that sexy guy “
Pointing out Brendan and his always fabulous timing. Max just smirks knowing that we shared something today and understands that B is just a bud.
“So toodles”


And I run to Bren and give him a big hug he hands me a helmet and we are off.!!!
I don’t want to think right now just feel the ends of my hair whipping around me the darkness of the night around us its all so beautiful.
We stop and he smiles at me Brendan isn’t one for much talking he gets of his bike and slings his arm around my shoulders, this is nice I like this its home. Don’t get me wrong like I said before this is purely friendship Bren is like my brother, its just I haven’t felt comfy like this with my new friends yet. It’s the familiarity of it all that comes with spending night upon nights together, it only comes with time.
I smile up at him and I’m about to ask what my surprise is when I see a familiar pink head.

chapter 20

I crawl into school with a hang over from hell. Ava was in town one night only so we had star gazing and a crap load of beer. It turned out pretty emotional, Brendan has finally decided to move to New York. They are moving into a little apartment together were I I’m always welcome, cant help but feel a little left out. I know they love me but can’t help that little voice that tells me I’m alone now for real.


I’m late very late that its now lunch time whoops oh who fricken cares. I see every one at the table I just sit and put my head down on the table.
“Liz girl what crawled inside you last night?”
“umghhhhhhhh”
Is my witty response. I can feel all there eyes on me,but don’t dare move.
“Ok here it goes I and everyone else needs theses questions answered…. Ok chica what the hell is going on with you and Max? Who and what relationship do you have with the hottie Brendan and what the hell is a soldier? Ohhh and why the lateness and the looking like someone ran you over????”
Raising my head slowly I look at everyone here even Tess and Kyle. I see Max mmmmm I feel a little better.


“First of all Maria, Max and I don’t even know what’s going on so when we find out you will be the first to know! Brendan is a good friend the best who just happens to be very affectionate and the soldier is his motor bike….. my friend Ava who lives in NY was in town last night so we went for a drive there was beer in there somewhere and from that I m hung-over and that’s why I’m sooo late……. Can I please die now?”
“You drink?”
Oh god Isabel can you shout a bit louder I think I still have a bit of brain mush that can dribble out my ears.

Kyle walked off everyone else had left for class already and I decided to skip. Hey I already missed most of the day what’s a few classes. I walked across the school grounds to a park that’s across the way. There were swings and I just closed my eyes and enjoyed the breeze. I didn’t want to think about Brendan moving to NY or my talk I have with Kyle soon, or the fact I have only been to this school for two weeks and already skipping…..
Sometimes I hate life


“Liz?”
“humopfh Jesus Kyle you scared the crap out of me????”
That was me falling on my ass, wow schools over damn time flew..
“Sorry I just…”
“What always end up hurting me?”

I stand up and dust off my dress, everyone is just staring

“Yes Kyle I was stupid naive and lonely so I believed all your bullshit! And you used me for it….. so what’s the point why are we talking about this huh?”
he has the decency to look guilty which makes me madder and the looks of pity on everyone’s faces hurts I don’t need pity…..i’m about to blow up completely when I see Max face its red with anger directed only at the dick head.
“I just thought we could be friends get passed this..”
“Be friends are you serious Kyle get away from me. How could I get over it when you didn’t give me a chance? You lied to me in every way and you didn’t stick around to apologies or even explain, you just ran to your aunts’ house which turned out to be the next warm body you could fool…..”
“I I don’t know what to say”
“Don’t say anything Kyle cause every thing that falls out of your mouth is bullshit.”
And I walked off I couldn’t let him see me cry I had no idea were I was going till a warm gentle hand on my back guided me to his jeep. Without a word we took off.



I didn’t take long once Max had driven not 5 minutes in silence I couldn’t take it, I cried. I cried because of Kyle and what he did to me, I cried because I let him get to me again, I cried because Brendan and Ava live so far away now.
I didn’t even know the jeep had stooped till I felt Max arms around me. He didn’t ask didn’t judge he just held me and that made me cry more. Ohhh god I’m such a sap! I looked up from Max’s warm arms and into equally warm eyes. There was no pity there just genuine concern, damn I’m in love with this guy.
“Ice cream”
I’m not crying anymore but I’m not ready to let go especially feeling Max’s breath on my neck and his hands on my back, gently stoking. So when he surprises me with saying ice cream I jump a little.
“We should get ice cream”
He says softer not to startle me again, I just turn to look at him
“Yeah I know this great place that has all these different flavors and loads o different toppings, what??? Two off my best friends are girls; I know that crying leads to ice cream or some sort of chocolate then comes the mphhhhhshhhhmmmmmmmmm”
Yep I couldn’t help it he was to adorable, I didn’t feel like ice cream felt like some kisses.


His lips are softer then I imagined I could feel a little stubble on his chin and upper lip. I could feel his hand on my face, his thumb stroking my cheek and his fingers gently scratching behind my ear.

Definitely better then ice cream.
It was awkward at first I wanted to fell his body against mine. I was just a little hard in the car with the gear stick poking in my side. But it was intense and glorious and can’t think anything but delicious....

Max and I kissing is like nothing I have ever experienced. Ok so my experience has been just Kyle loser Valenti, but this is just wow. I can feel the heat of his hands on my face the gentle scratching behind my ear. I can hear his heavy breathing and his lips sliding over mine.


It makes me tingle all over my head is clear and my hands are enjoying the skin exposed around his neck. My arms are light and my legs feel numb except for a vibration I feel on my thigh and the sound of hey Mama by the black eyed peas….. oh crap my phone


We both break off with heavy breathing and flushed faces.
Damn phone in my pocket ahhhhhh why do you have to ring now!!!!

“Liz oh god I have been ringing you for like forever! Are you ok?”
“hey Isabel I’m fine”
“you sound out of breath have you been crying???”

I look over at max and he is just smirking and playing with the ends of my hair with a total look of satisfaction on his face.

Its tomorrow and I can’t get the smile off my face. I think the customers at the crash think I’m on some sort of medication. It’s normal for me to storm through the café in avoidance of the parental units, now I smile and do a little skip mmmmmmmmmmmm


But oh what a day the sun is shining the flowers smell wonderful that I just have to pick them. And on my merry way to school I realize I have missed the bus! Oh well no big drama I will just walk. Another day I would scream and curse but today is just so well lovely.


Ok I think I’m going to shot myself did I just say the day was lovely???? What the hell is wrong with me commenting on the suns deathly rays are killing our planet as well as my skin cells? Or the beautiful genetically grown flowers which are nothing but insect’s homes, especially to bees were I’m deathly allergic!!!!
I throw the death flower on the ground with a grunt and here a familiar voice
“Don’t like flowers ok have to remember that!”
Its Max in his jeep and all of a sudden its sunshine and puppies.
“You ok babe?”
Did he just call me babe? Gah eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ok say something parker
“Yeah hey can I get a ride?”

And he jumps out of his jeep and extends his hand very gentleman like. I kiss him on the cheek even though I want to melt on his lips.
We ride to school and all I can think about is rainbows and sunsets with my Max, oh and his hand on my thigh.


When we pull up I see a familiar blonde head, it’s the poodle and my thoughts are turned from sunshine to a dark storm forming. Max jumps out of the jeep and helps me out what a guy so I can’t help it, its smooch time.
Ahhhh yummy never get tired of this. Then the mass of blonde curls jumps in and about to growl out her, until I realize Maria has curled her hair today.
“Hey Maria”
And she is silent her eyes are wide and she look like she wants to say something but her mouth wont work????

“Oh god Mickey man get over here”
Im looking all freaked out by Maria’s silence and her expression while Michael walks over with a smirk on his face.

And she slaps me the poodles actually slaps me on the face. So I do what any self respecting girl would do, while Is and Maria are gasping along with the small crowd that formed and Tess is smirking thinking she won I jump her.


Right on top and grab and handful of her poodle hair, which comes away form her head, hu huh hairpiece. And we are wrestling on the ground and then I feel myself getting lifted off the gerbil with one quick jab of my elbow into her I’m done.
Max is behind me and Kyle has a handful of squirming Tess. She is a sight half her hair gone from the hair piece in the back her lipstick smudged and wait her chest is wet? Why is her chest wet? I look at my shoulder and se it’s a little wet and one side of her chest is sunken in OMG


“WATER BRA”


Yep Maria must have noticed it to cause there is Tess with one boob and a water stain for the other, half her hair and well it’s just beautiful.
Ahhh the storm has cleared and poodle has escaped along with loser boy trailing after her. Max is next to me smirking and whispers in my ear
“If ya want to have a girl fight let me know next time?”
I just smack his chest and get hell the rest of the day because I have a new reputation- don’t mess with Parker! And I like it

“And then bang Liz is jumping on Tess and slapping her around I tell ya it was fabulous!”
Maria is in love with telling the story of Tess downfall, she has been off sick all week not even Isabel her own sister has seen her. She’s been holed up in her room and supposedly the Harding residence is massive.
Were all sitting around the crashdown I’m supposed to be working but there is no one here….
“What a blast ohhhhhhhhhhhh you know what we should so have a girls night at my house tonight, mums away on business again”
“So there Ria can’t wait to get away from dad who’s worried about poor lil Tessa who won’t leave her room…”
“she wont leave her room??? Oh god maybe….”
“Liz Parker don’t you dare finish that sentence Tess had it coming, besides I know my sister she is just milking it for all its worth! So you in???? ohhhhhh Alex is here gotta jet seeya tonight girls Liz I will pick you up after your shift bye”

Maria just smirks and nods her head slurping the last of her smoothie.


Max and Micheal are having some sort of debate about who’s hotter Alyssa Milano or Sarah Michelle Gellar? Maria and I just roll our eyes at our boyfriends. Boyfriends He He Max is my boyfriend- ok settled giddiness over.

The boys stop dead at Maria’s comment she just chooses to look all oblivious to there curious stares. Can’t help but pitch in

Damn customers I forgot I was working. The guys are still stunned at our open playfulness, men. Standing up hi ho hi ho it’s off to work I go. Grabbing an order I’m then ran down by Isabel.
“Hey there whoa slow down i thought you left?”
“Sorry Lizzy but NEWS I have news”
“Maria how does a party sound?”
“Hey I’m always up for some drunken dancing at some strangers house count me in”
“Well let’s just say we have a band a couple kegs and me very excited and don’t forget the obligatory shopping trip for the perfect outfits”
“Yeah Izzy sounds good wait a second I’m missing something aren’t I? Max? Michael? Someone help me out here Lizzy????”
“Maria I think she is missing a venue”
And as soon as I answered her, her face turned from confused to angry
“Nah uh not my place mum would kill me no way buster why can’t we have it at your place Isabel or Max’s”
They both just gave them looks they must have strict parents.
“Oh then hey what about at lizs yeah come on chica party it can be and initiation of sorts”
Oh she is really reaching……
“First Maria my dad and his skank are home and I live in a 2 bed apartment! With just us 5 it would be crowded”
And everyone is looking at her with puppy dog eyes even Max. Didn’t think these guys were the type to have a party, the way they reacted when I came to school a little hung over. Maybe it’s just my image.

“yes Lizzy and I attend the same school and came buy to see if she would like to accompany myself and Isabel Harding to the mall you know check out the shops have a spot of lunch? But then she tells me she has to work. Oh well maybe another time we could reschedule I don’t...”

Shopping is a bad idea I forgot that these girls don’t need to watch what they spend. I think they forgot that I’m on a budget which is nice in a way because it means they aren’t looking at me for my money or social standard we are just friends. mmmm Max kisses as he leaves yum. Distracted talk to them, don’t look at Max’s butt as he leaves……..ok can do both
But know makes it awkward how do I tell them I have never been to the west lakes mall. It’s the fancy rich place with all the designer stores eeekkkk.


“uhhh guys maybe we should stay here”
And I sit next to Michael who is still slurping his blood of an alien smoothie and he looks at me weird.
“Nup come on Liz I need to go to prestige they have these amazing earrings I need”
“But uh Isabel I ….”
God they really aren’t getting the clue
“She cant we have a date don’t we shnuckoms??”
“What plans do you two have?”

The gallery was amazing I have never had the courage to go in before and no one wanted to go with me. Michael is amazing he has such insight and artistic eye; you never would have guessed it looking at him. The whole afternoon was great and gave me a new respect for Michael as a man. Oh back um I just mean as a buddy ok not a love interest the guy has to many issues and plus I have Max now.

Not 2 minutes past after hanging up with Maria a blonde guy with perfect teeth and a black jag picked me up. I then saw one of the nicest houses I have ever seen. Maria s room was the size of my kitchen and lounge combined. Isabel was running around with green crap on her face her hair pulled on top her head and a white robe.
Maria was on the bed in a red underwear set and her hair in curlers, she was also waxing her legs. Boy these girls go all out for a party.


“Liz I bought the cutest little dress for you today!!”
“Isabel you didn’t have to, I’m not a charity case”
“I never said you were it was $18 if ya want you can reimburse me other wise free sodas at the crash will be substantial. That’s why you didn’t come today?”
I can’t do anything but nod stupidly…
“Liz we didn’t expect you to buy anything and Maria and I forgot that you well just talk to us next time were friends right?”
“Iz is right and it isn’t a big deal right friends?”
“Friends I would hug you guys but not with that goop on your face and you wax you need to strip”

And I have to admit its beautiful. Its just a plain white strapless dress not to tight and not to short. Modest but down right sexy.
“Oh that looks perfect on you Maria gown she cant get anything on this dress yet”

It took them from 4.00 till 8.30 to get ready. Maria had her hair down in long curls she wore tight red leather pants with a barely there stringy black top. Very high black shiny boots and sparkly makeup. When Maria was bad Isabel was sultry she had a painted on red dress her swept up in a plain pony tail which was nothing but plain on her. Red strappy heels with a silver chain lost down the front of her dress.

chapter 24

It was like some bad cheesy teen movie when Max walked in. the party was going Alex was up playing his guitar and Isabel was dancing and staring in to his eyes Maria and Michael dancing I think or more like having sex with clothes on and in a group of people. Tess and Kyle were having a huge argument and walking in and out of rooms and Kyle get plastered.


Me in the corner holding my cup waiting for him and when he walked in and it was perfect he was wearing all black in contrast to my white. He walked in smiling and as soon as he saw me he stopped and his smile turned to a smirk. The boy looked at me like he was hunting and I was his pray. I felt like sprouting some wanton line from those women in the romance novels Maria reads, with the heaving bosom and the hard muscular chest and all that. He walked up no strutted to me and held me close whispered in me ear that I looked sinful and all I wanted to say was lets get out of here. But all I said was
“Drink”
And I held up my cup I couldn’t help it, I felt shy and sexy all at the same time. I looked in his eyes before he answered
“Yes please”
His voice was husky and all I know was that he was thirsty and not for my beer but for me. God is there anything better then kissing Max Evans.


Ok yes there is something better! Dancing close and kissing Max. Here I don’t feel nervous to touch him. I can run my fingers down his back and taste him all at the same time. I have never been this way with anyone. Kissing Kyle was hard and fast his lips weren’t soft against mine and he drooled a lot. Kissing Max was different we fit and I don’t know how long we just held each other and danced sneaking in kisses feeling him trace his lips down my neck and bare shoulders. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm


“Liz hey chica bathroom brake”
Ok well we did have to break sometimes I was getting a little overheated my hair was sticking to the back of my neck and my lips were red and swollen.
“Girl you and Max are getting hot out there the air around you was smoldering”
I just avoid her eyes because I know it’s true.
“Ok we had our little breather I need my man because girl the look you have right now makes me want to jump Michael”
I just laugh as she practically runs out the room. Ok now its time to find my man because all the shyness gone and now I’m ready for anything, yes I mean anything…….


I walk ready to show what I got yep I’m beautiful and desired and that in it self can be dangerous. Look out Max Evans I’m coming for you!
Well I was until I was pulled into a bed room.
“Kyle what are you doing?”
“Liz baby im so sorry I hurt you! You were the best thing that ever happened to me baby!”
“Kyle your drunk”
And he was his speech as slurring and he stunk of beer god he couldn’t even stand up straight.

“Baby I want you”

And then when it happened I lost all my earlier confidence when I felt him nock me down with his body. Struggling to get up but he was too heavy and I think I’m panicking. He kept trying to kiss me and pushing him off becomes harder and harder.
“No Kyle stop get off of me please stop”
“Baby I’m sorry I love you I want you don’t you want me?”
He just kept trying to kiss me and hold me I i cant breathe he is to heavy I know I’m going in to shock but I can’t control it. I’m screaming for someone to help and but my cries can’t be heard over the music.
When I feel like I can’t take it anymore and I resign to the fact that my ex boyfriend is probably going to rape me in a drunken stupor, I feel him being lifted off of me.


I just wrap my hands around myself and look into the eyes of a livid man and realize those are the same eyes that held passion and desire for me not hours ago. Max currently beating the life out of Kyle I can hear Kyle’s exhales and Max’s grunts as he hits and kicks Kyle. Max saved me and now I have to save him. I grab him before he can do anything else


“Max stop please”
And he just looks at me his lip curled in rage and I just stare into those anguished eyes
“Can you take me home Max?”
He just grabs my hand and the anger slowly melts with my gaze. Kyle is on the floor unable to get up, there are a few people at the door looking on. But most are oblivious and we walk out slowly and quietly.

chapter 25


We walk in silence all the way to my apartment. He doesn’t want to talk and im scared too.
“Max I I”
“Liz not now goodnight I will see you in school”
“Max please”
“What Liz? What do you want me to do? Get mad already did that do you want me to beat Kyle up some more cause I sure as hell could”
“DON’T YELL AT ME Max this isn’t my fault”
“WHY DID YOU GO IN THE BEDROOM WITH HIM ANYONE HUH?”
I stand there looking at him disbelief is he blaming me for tonight?
“WHAT I didn’t he pulled me in there I don’t believe this you think this is my fault?”
“Well you acted pretty stupid”


That was it I looked at him like I didn’t recognize him. And I didn’t who was this guy angry at me. It’s too much so I just walk inside
“Liz I come on I’m sorry I”
“Good night Max I will see you at school”
No one call s me stupid.
I slam around my room and push my books around throw my clothes around letting out some of my frustration. It ends with me noticing a bruise on my arm, where Kyle held me down trying to kiss me. There is also one on my calf from trying to kick free. The situation hits me then what actually might have happened. Max was right I was stupid to have stayed in the room with him drunk I should have left.


I can feel tears forming of the enormity of tonight. How one night one moment changes your life. Tonight I was almost raped by someone I considerd close to me at one point. Violation was almost the reason of my lost innocence, I’m a virgin and if Max hadn’t saved me I wouldn’t be sitting here trying to hold back the tears of humiliation and degradation of the situation. I would be dead inside.
The phone rings stunning me out of my observation of the bruises on my arms and legs.
“Hello”
“Liz Liz were are you?”
It’s Maria she seems panicked
“Liz oh my god its Max he he had an accident oh god Lizzy get down to memorial right now he crashed his car”
The phone lay on my floor unnoticed as I run out the door. Its true before what I said that one moment can change everything.....

chapter 26

I ran to the hospital I didn’t know where to go or who to see all I kept hearing was Maria’s voice in my head. I ran to the nurse’s station in the E.R.
“Hi um I oh god is there a Max Evans here?? He he had a car accident”
By the time I said this I was in tears a couple next to me started looking at me strangely
“What is your relation to the patient?”
“My boyfriend he is my boyfriend”
Realizing this is the first time I have said that, That he was my boyfriend out loud. I didn’t notice the stares I was getting form the couple at the front desk
“You’re dating my son?”
Oh great way to the meet the parents I must look like a crazy person bare feet white dress mascara running and borderline hysterical. I don’t care I need to know if Max is all right
“Mrs. Evans?? I’m Liz Parker is Max ok?”
She just looked me up and down. Her with her perfectly swept up hair and pearl earrings with a perfect match of a well dressed husband on her arm.
“Looks like Max has been downgrading himself again”
As much as I pride myself on being a self assured women Mrs. Evans ran her perfectly manicured nails through that.
“I told you Philip that one day Max little sluts will be the death of him”
“Now now Diane come on”
He just wraps his arms around her and they walk away from me. I can’t speak I feel wrong and ashamed.


“LIZZY”
Maria runs to me holding me close I seek out her comfort
“He is ok he’s ok chica oh Liz he just sprained his wirst and hit his chest"
and I let go the pain of the thought of loosing him the anger and hatred I felt from his mother all that has happened tonight just over took me. And I cried.


I saw him walking he had a bandage on his wrist and was rubbing his chest. His eyes lit up when he saw me and looked like he was coming for me but then his mother put his hand on his arm. And he walked straight passed me not a hello not a smile he didn’t even look at me.
Who is Max Evans I thought I was in love with him but how can I when he ignores me lies to me walks right passed me. I thought I was in love with Max Evans but I don’t know who he is.
I got home slowly my dad was out of town with his little girlfriend. It’s late or really early the sun came up when I was walking home. Alone and without shoes, Maria offered me a lift but I refused. I needed the time to think about what has happened.


Sunday flew passed I worked and ignored the blinking light on our answering machine I turned of my cell phone and reverted back into who I was before, before when I focused on my studies when I didn’t talk to anyone.
I put on my school uniform the color the green already washing out my face. And I walk into school I’m late so I don’t have to talk to anyone just get to class. People are looking at me differently staring. Do they know what happened at the party? Do they know about Max accident? Or are they just staring at me because I’m sitting at the front totally ignoring Maria and Isabel at the back.
Class finishes and Max is outside the door waiting he looks up at me and I almost don’t do it. But I have to I don’t even look at him I don’t say a word I just walk away.


I got through most of my classes today without running into anyone. Michael had skipped school, Isabel and Maria had skipped 4th period to clean up Maria’s house before her mum gets home. And Max well I had no idea where he was.
So its lunch and I’m all alone I could think about was what I was going to do about Max if there was anything I could do? I didn’t realize that he would be at school today that Kyle would show his beaten up face. And I didn’t anticipate the deep paralyzing fear that came with seeing him.
I saw him talking to his friends and all I could feel was his body on mine and the stench of beer on his breath. I got up to walk away so he wouldn’t see me. I ran straight into a body.
“Liz Liz are you ok?”
Great I found Max. I just tried to get away again
“Liz why won’t you talk to me I left a thousand messages and your phone is switched off! I was worried”
“You where worried? How about when I get a call form a hysterical Maria telling me to get to the hospital now! Or when I get there your parents snob me off and you walk straight pass me like I didn’t matter like I was nothing...”
“You talked to my parents?”
“That’s all you care about isn’t it Max”
And I don’t walk away I run. Run from Kyle run from Max I just run.


I don’t know when I stopped I was out in the dessert and I just ran it was getting late so I walked back. It was dark before I got home and my dad was waiting up.
“Elizabeth the school called they tell me you skipped and today wasn’t the first time….”
“No dad it isn’t”
“Your grades aren’t so great either and your teachers say your distracted. Part of your scholarship is you have to hold your grades at a certain level and you have to go to every class. I’m sorry Elizabeth but you have done this to yourself!
“Dad what are you saying”
“They have revoked your scholarship”
And that is the very delicious icing on the cake.
