pandas2001 to answer you question, her closure with Micheal comes later because it came earlier but hasn't been seen yet. Gods I hope that made sense.

Chapter 17
Liz roared into the parking lot, and pulled up next to Jack. She’d seen the ‘copter from the road and knew something bad had happened. She shut down Michael’s bike, pulled off her helmet and waited for Daniel to park next to her.
Jack waited for both vehicles to be turned off before he strode over toward them, “Daniel, your phone was off.” His voice was tinged with a myriad of emotions. Liz could feel the tension, the stress and worry pouring off of him in waves. Something bad had happened; something very, very bad.
Daniel closed the car door, adjusted his glasses and pulled his phone out of his pocket. Frowning he turned it over once before looking at Liz. “It’s broken.”
Liz held out her hand and took it from Daniel. The plastic on the phone was slightly melted, and almost charred in some spots. “Huh.”
“I’m sorry Jack, I had no idea.” Daniel offered up his apology. Jack seemed as if he wanted to say something more, but he was just watching them and that made Daniel just a bit uncomfortable. His eyes darted down to the markings on his and Liz’s hands and wondered if jack had noticed them yet.
Jack quietly watched the exchange, and despite his total lack of patience, plus the need to be back in the air, there was something about the two of them now; something…off. He couldn’t quite place it but Daniel looked…guilty. “Ok, whatever happened here, you can explain on the ride back to the SGC.” He looked at Liz. “We have a situation and it calls for your talents.”
Liz froze, “My talents?” She wasn’t sure how to take that statement.
“Yeah, I don’t expect you to trot out your ‘talent’ in every situation but I have two dead, and two more well on there way there. I need to know who did this and why.” Jack grabbed Daniel’s keys and tossed them to the Airmen standing near by. He jerked his head in the man’s direction, “He’ll take your car back, your stuff is packed and in the copter so let’s go.” He turned and climbed into the copter and fired it up.
Liz looked at Daniel, frowned and they turned to follow Jack.

Sam looked at her drink; the room was a vacuum, the silence and awkwardness all consuming. But what did one expect when sitting in the living room with your former fiancée on a couch you had fucked on.
She could feel Pete’s eyes on her, it made her want to fidget, run, and at the same time it made her want to lay herself bare in front of him. So she gives into the latter because unlike some people she knows she isn’t a coward about emotional issues.
“I miss you.” That wasn’t what she’s planned to say first but…she looked up, saw the expression on his face; longing mashed together with sadness and anger, and knew she had started off the right way.
“Sam…Jesus, whose fault is that?” Pete stood up, dragged a hand through his hair and paced the room. He turned and looked at her, his face taunt with pain. “You dumped me Sam, not the other way around. ‘I don’t think I love you enough to marry you.’ Those were the words you used and you handed me the ring I gave you and walked out over three months ago. Now you come back and tell me you miss me. If I wasn’t so fucking pathetically in love with you still, I would tell you to fuck off and kick you out.”
“I…,” Sam was speechless. She could feel her chest aching, her heart pounding and hear her blood pounding through her veins was so loud she thought the Asguard might be able to hear it. She done to him almost exactly what Jack had done to her. She’d broken Pete, a loving proud man who had readily accepted every part of her and her life. She was sick.
Pete walked over to her, knelt in front of her, took the glass from her hands and clasped them between his own. “Sam, I love you. I love you so fucking much it kills me.” His voice was low, raw and slightly broken. He was so earnest and open; Sam felt herself shattering against the face of such honest and over powering emotion. “I love you, and honestly if you are here saying you want to try again I am all for it. I am in. But be sure; don’t say a fucking word unless you are sure.”
“How…”Sam struggled to find the words she needed. “How can you say that after what I’ve done?” She was so confused, and everything hurt. Her skin felt abraded and raw.
His smile was sad and wistful, “Because I love you.”
“What if that isn’t enough?”
“It will be, if you let it.”
Sam shook her head; she had never been good with this. “I want to go back to the beginning. Start over and do this the right way.” She needed to be sure that this was the right thing and not just because she was lonely, no, broken.
The smile that lit Pete’s face was stronger then a thousand suns. “I can do that,
we can do that.”
A weight that Sam hadn’t known she was carrying was suddenly lifted, her chest light and free she could breathe for the first time in weeks. She leaned forward and hugged the man in front of her, the man she was fairly sure she loved but had let a dream, a sad weak dream at that, interfere with.
A loud militaryeques knock on the door shattered the silence startling them, causing them to yank apart abruptly. “Huh,” Pete stood and quickly hurried to open the door.
The Marine at the door was young, fresh faced and frustrated. “Sorry to disturb you Sir, is Colonel Carter here?” Sam walked over and stood so the solider could see her.
“Sir!” He snapped to attention.
“At ease,” Sam wondered what the hell Jack was up too now.
The soldier relaxed visibly, “Sir, The General requests your presence at the base, there has been an emergency.”
“What happened?” Sam felt Pete leave her side, she knew he was going to retrieve her keys and she was grateful.
“All I know is that he is recalling all of SG-1.”
Pete was next to her again, keys in hand. He handed them to her, and kissed her cheek. “Be careful, call me when you can.” He leaned in even closer, whispering in her ear. “Remember, I love you.”
On a side note I am still looking for a beta for this fic but Darkmoon found the time to beta this chapter for me. She rocks, so give her props.
