Brendan ran up to him saying, “Mommy says you are in da dog house.” Tess waddled into the kitchen after Brendan and said, “Liz is on her way over.” Micheal knew instantly that the slight pain he kept feeling meant Ria was in labor. “Can you help him into the chair so I can feed him”Tess asked. Micheal nodded his head yes while looking at her belly. “Where’s Zan?” Micheal asked. “He’s upstairs with Ria until Liz gets here”Tess answered.

Micheal picked Brendan up and put him in his chair. “You be good for your Aunt Tess”Micheal said. “I will”Brendan said. Micheal turned his attention back to Tess asking, “Where is Brenna?” “She’s asleep on the couch supposed to spend the night wit Auntie Liz since Alex and Ava aren’t back yet from their honeymoon”Tess answered. “She still going with Liz and Sean?”Micheal asked. “Yeah Liz said she wanted me to rest”Tess said. She saw the look on Micheal’s face and said, “Rath said she can break your hand and he will come down with Brendan.” “Okay”Micheal said before walking upstairs to their bedroom.


Micheal opened the door slowly walking inside and closing the door behind him. Zan stood up walking over to Micheal and saying, “I’ll be back in a few minutes.” Ria waited till the door closed before screaming, “I hate you more than I hated Rath when I was in labor.” Micheal walked closer to the bed sitting down on the edge of the mattress next to Ria. His brown eyes doubled in size when he saw she already had their baby. “There is two. The other one was hiding and stubborn like its father”Ria growled. “Two we connected with him there was only one”Micheal said. Rath sighed in relief when the contraction ended and Ria let go of his hand.


“Can I hold him?”Micheal asked. He didn’t wait for an answer just reached over and picked up the baby boy. Holding the baby in his arms he said, “I never thought.” “What that ya would be a dad?”Rath asked. Micheal nodded his head yes and Ria said, “Stupid Czechoslovakian.” “You love me”Micheal said in response. Another contraction started and Ria shook her head saying, “I hate you.” Micheal stuck his bottom lip out in a pout handing his son to Rath and taking her hand into his hand. “She can break ya hand now”Rath said. He looked down at the baby boy and said, “Iz can holds’ ya now cause ya daddy did.” Micheal sighed when Ria loosened her hold on his hand.
“I think Tess is going to have her baby soon”Micheal said mentally to Rath.

Zan walked in and looked at Rath saying, “Will you go down with Tess?” Rath laid the baby down in the bassinet and said, “We can switch when Liz gets here.” Zan nodded his head yes and said, “Liz is on her way.” “What’s taking her so long?”Micheal asked. “She was delivering another woman’s baby when I paged her earlier. She just called back telling me to check somethin’.” Rath stopped at the door and turned asking, “Check what?” “Rath please I really want you to go downstairs with Tess”Zan said. Rath grumbled to himself walking out of the bedroom.

Zan waited till the bedroom door closed and said, “Ria I want you to concentrate on Micheal Can you do that?” “Yes”Ria whimpered. She focused on Micheal looking deep into his brown eyes. Zan took out a tube of lube squeezing some onto his hand and slowly moving his hand inside of her until he reached the top the baby. He frowned seeing Liz was right the baby was breach. Using his powers he turned the baby pausing each time Ria whimpered and saying, “Relax and concentrate on Micheal.” Micheal hissed feeling Ria ripping his hand harder and the pain from what Zan was doing to her.


Rath jumped up off the couch the second he felt Ria’s pain coming through Micheal. Liz walked into the living room and said, “Unless you can let Zan finish what he is doing don’t even go upstairs.” “Ya wanna tell me why Iz feelin’ like my insides are ripping out from Micheal”Rath growled. “I told Zan that I thought the second baby was breach, coming out feet first and he needed to turn the baby and that since the first one was so tiny the other one is probably at least eight pounds so its not small”Liz explained. She walked over to Tess and said, “Has your water broken?” “No my back just hurts”Tess said. “I want to check on you and then go check on Ria”Liz said. Tess nodded her head and asked, “Zan delivering yours and Sean’s baby?” “Yeah since I developed powers from being healed thought it would be best”Liz answered. “How far along are you now?”Tess asked.


Liz slowly spread Tess’s legs and checked her saying, “I’m four months tomorrow and you are six centimeters.” Sean walked into the living room giving Brendan a piggy back ride. “Rath can Brendan spend the night with me, Liz and Brenna?”Sean asked. “If he wants”Rath answered. Liz helped Tess to lie back on the couch and said, “I’ll be right back.” Tess nodded her head yes and said, “If Rath’s eyes turn back no one is going to keep him out of their room.” Liz nodded her head yes knowing perfectly well that Ria would end up calling Rath in there mentally.


Zan slipped his hand back out and Ria sighed feeling less pain. “On your next contraction I want you to push. I turned the baby and broke your water, so the contractions are going to be longer and stronger”Zan said. Ria whimpered feeling the contraction start and pushed like Zan had said. “Zan it hurts”Ria whimpered. “I see the head”Zan said. He noticed the reason she was saying that it hurt was the baby’s head was ripping her. Ria’s green eyes filled with tears feeling the burn from pushing the baby’s head out. Liz walked in and walked over to the bassinet looking at the baby boy. Another contraction started and Ria pushed the baby’s shoulders out and Zan pulled the baby out the rest of the way.


Zan quickly cleaned the fluid out of the nose and lungs and the baby cried. He breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Ya better pick a girl’s name.” Liz walked over taking the baby girl from Zan and said, “Wanna meets your mommy.” “Girl”Micheal said before passing out onto the floor. Rath walked back into the bedroom and noticed the blood. He growled walking over to Micheal helping him up off the floor and laying him down next to Ria. Zan finished cleaning Ria up and said, “Iz going to check on Tess.” “Zan, thanks”Rath said. Zan nodded his head walking out of the room. “Ria you are going to be sorer this time cause you ripped when the head came out. Zan had to stick you cause he couldn’t heal you any more with his powers”Liz said. “What aren’t you saying?”Ria asked. She knew something had been wrong when Zan used his powers before.



“He healed you and the baby before you delivered her”Liz said. “Healed us?”Ria asked unable to stop the tremor from her voice. “Yes, she was breach and Zan had to turn her. The cord was wrapped around her neck that was why he cut the cord himself”Liz said. Ria’s green eyes doubled in shock realizing that Zan had saved her daughter’s life. Micheal slowly opened his brown eyes bringing his hand to his head and groaning. “Are you and the baby okay?”Micheal asked. “Yes”Ria answered. She watched their daughter latch onto her nipple and suckle hungrily. “I want to name her Zoe”Ria said. Rath smiled knowing she picked the letter Z because of Zan.
“What did you name the boy?”Liz asked. “Christopher Micheal”Ria answered.


Micheal mumbled from his spot next to her and Liz reached over taking Zoe. “Rath she’s not going to fit in the same bassinet”Liz said. “I’ll go get Brenna’s old one from the spare room”Rath said. He leaned over giving Ria a chaste kiss before walking out of the bedroom. Liz checked the baby over and said, “She is perfectly healthy, weighing eight pounds and twenty-two inches long.” Rath walked back in with the bassinet and reached over taking Zoe from Liz’s arms. She connected with him instantly. “She’s mine”Rath said. He held her in his arms deciding that any boy that went near her would die. Liz slipped out of the room heading back downstairs to check on Tess. “Leave it to me to get pregnant by both of you”Ria giggled. “Alien sperm”Rath said. He laid Zoe down in her bassinet and laid down on the bed next to Ria.


Liz walked into the living room finding Sean had taken Brenna and Brendan out into the kitchen and was giving them ice pops. Tess was breathing in and out cursing Zan. “How are you both feeling?”Liz asked. “Hurts”Tess whimpered. “Ria and the baby girl okay?”Zan asked. “Yeah Ria and Zoe are fine and she was Rath’s”Liz said. “Need to push”Tess screamed. “Let me check you”Liz said. She slowly checked Tess breaking her water in the process. “You can push”Liz said. “I thought you got over disliking me?”Tess cried. “I did Tess. You are doing fine the baby will be out before you know it”Liz said. “Argh . . . ”Tess screamed. She pushed the head out and whimpered feeling the contraction start. “One more push”Liz said. Tess breathed in and out and pushed again with the next contraction. Liz pulled the baby out the rest of the way and said, “A girl.”


Tess’s blue eyes filled with tears as she held their baby girl for the first time. Zan grinned and said, “Iz helpin’ Rath to build something to keep the bodies of the boys’ in.” “You will do no such thing”Tess said. “So what’s her name?”Liz asked. “Liza Maia”Tess answered. Liz felt tears in her eyes never having expected to hear part of her name in their child’s name. “It was Tess’s idea”Zan said. Liz smiled knowing reaching over and taking Liza she checked her over and said, “Seven pounds and twenty inches.” Handing her back to Tess she said, “I will come back tomorrow with the heathens and check both you and Ria over.”



Tess watched Liz walk out into the kitchen her blue eyes filling with tears. “Rath coming to town and meeting Ria changed all our lives here in Roswell for the better. I hate to think what might have happened if Ria and Rath had never come to town.”Tess babbled. “Imagine everything started in the city when Ava locked eyes with Alex”Zan said.
