Alex

I grin when I see Liz walk into the room behind a tall, dark haired guy. So this is Max Evans. My grin widens a bit when Liz spots me too and I give her a small wave before turning to Isabel, just like Max did, and wait for her to introduce me.

~LIZ~

I squeal and throw myself against Alex, throwing my arms around his neck. "Alex Whitman, what are you doing here?!" I ask grinning at him before grabbing him in another hug. I am so happy to see him. I don't think I've seen Alex since Christmas and it's spring! "God, I've missed you!" To my horror, I feel my eyes fill with tears of happiness and I realize just how much I have missed him. He and Maria are my family. With Alex gone for so long, I haven't had him to help balance our circle out. My heart squeezes at the thought of ever losing him.

Ok now I'm confused...Liz and this....Alex person know each other? And why is Alex here anyway....Isabel doesnt exactly get on with the humans...

"Isabel?" I say looking at her, hoping she'll give me some sort of explaination that will sort all this out for me.

Alex

Good thing that I anticipated Liz throwing herself at me, otherwise, I might have tumbled down. Not a very impressive sight if we both hit the floor. Not that I wanna impress anyone.

"God, I've missed you!"

"I missed you too, girl." I tell Liz, hugging her a bit closer before noticing her eyes watering. Damn, that was not my intention. "Hey, I didn't come to make you cry Lizzie-bear"

She hates that nickname! Therefor, I hope me mentioning it, will somehow magically mysteriously and amazingly stop her from crying.

Isabel

I watch as the two humans throw themselves at each other and have an emotional outburst so to speak, the girl especially, Liz seems to be all watery eyed and Alex has a happy expression on his face.

"Isabel", Max looks at me questioningly and I shrug "They apparently have known each other for many years. Oh and this is Alex." I wave at the tall dark haired man who is hugging my brother's future (may be) wife.

"He's been here for some time, waiting to speak to you since he learned that you want to marry Miss Parker."

"God I've missed you." I raise an eyebrow when she says that and Alex responds in the same manner, if I didn't know better I'd think there was some thing going on between them

What's with the ridiculous nick-name!? I stand back and cross my arms across my chest, and clear my throat.

Alex

When someone clears his or her throat I let go slightly of Liz, giving her another grin before turning to the two Antarians.

"Looks like I do get to meet your brother after all, Isabel." I tell the tall blonde, not wanting to appear rude and totally ignore her now that my *target* is here. Hm, somehow it seems like Isabel's not too fond of the way humans greet each other or something else is bugging her.

"Max Evans, it is nice to meet you." I say to the other man who has confusion written all over his face. "Like your sister already said, my name's Alex. Alex Whitman, I'm one of Liz's best friends and I'd love to have a little chat with you if you can spare a few minutes."

"Uh..."

I look over at Liz a moment, wanting to stay with her. I swallow as I turn back to Alex... "Yeah....sure...." I look towards Liz, "This won't take long..." I glance towards Isabel, hoping she will play nice. I look over at Alex, "How about we talk in my study?"

Alex

"How about we talk in my study?"

"Sure, sounds good." I reply with a smile. "Lead the way then, Mr. Evans."

I look towards Liz again and bite my lip. "I'll be back soon..."
I glance towards Alex to check he's behind me before I start walking out the door and heading down the corridor. Of course my study would be over the side of the house....ok mansion.

As we arrive I unlock the door and go to sit behind the desk. "So, what can I do for you Alex?" I ask as I watch him come in.

Alex

With a last smile at the two women, I follow after Max, once again aware how big this place really is. When we reach Max's study, he sits down in the big leather chair behind the desk, looking at me.

"So, what can I do for you Alex?"

"I just wanted to talk to you. I know I'm not related to Liz but she is like a sister to me and ... one of our friends called me about Liz's sudden decision to marry and ... I guess I just want to know about your intentions towards my best friend."
