Reaching up I run my fingers through the short hairs at the back of his head,"I think you're sexy unless you don't want me to think that. I can always go look around for another sexy guy to hang out with." I say and make a move to get up

Grant lifts his glass to me. "I thought crashers were always welcome at your parties, Liz. Besides, I got an invitation kind of third hand," he says.
Ok, that's it. I've already had enough. I couldn't stand the sleezeball when Isabel was dating him and I sure as hell can't stand him now and won't put up with him in my home. "Grant, I'm putting this as plainly as I can. If you aren't out of my house in the next two minutes, you will be escorted out and I will have a restraining order on your ass so fast your head will swim."
I glance back at Max to see if he's watching this whole little scene. I really don't want to have to do this alone, but I have no qualms about doing so. It's just that I might actually have to touch the guy to get him out of here and I don't want to soil my hands.
"Oh, come on, Liz. Can't we put the past behind us? I mean what was between Isabel and I was between us." He leans a little closer and I can tell from his breath that he's been helping himself a little freely to the open bar. "Besides, I've always liked brunettes better anyway," he says lowly.
I step back a step and wave my hand in front of my face. "Whew. God you reek!" I tell him. "And if that was a come on, you've got to be kidding me."

"Ah, so before the makeover, I was an ugly frog?" I ask with a grin. Making jokes when nervous or embarrassed was always a kind of protection for me.
It feels really good when she runs her fingers through my hair - again. I guess she must really like my hair. But her words are certainly bringing me out from my stupor.

"What? Hey, wait!" I say surprised, lightly grabbing her around the waist and pulling her back onto the couch, closer to me and without spilling any of the food.
"I'm sorry, really." Not that I really know what for. "It's just ... unusual that someone calls me sexy and actually means it." I manage to get out quietly, not looking at Isabel. "Especially ... I mean ... it is also unusual that someone like you who's beautiful, smart, sweet, funny and quite sexy herself is interested in me. I guess the whole thing is still ... a lot to take in for me."
There it happened - I did make a complete and utter fool and wimp out of myself. Again. Great.
Since I'm still not looking at Isabel, kinda worried to find a look of pity on her beautiful face, I notice that Grant is standing really close to Liz and that they seem to be having an intense talk. "What the ... is he trying to kiss her?"
It's like a car accident - I so don't want to look over to them but still ... it is fascinating to watch and see what will happen.

Letting go of his face I focus on what he had said earlier about some kiss,"Now what was it you said,whose kissing whom?" following his gaze I spot Liz,Grant and Max,"Oh bother!"

I can't help but smile at the sight of Max coming to my rescue...not that I really needed it. I could certainly handle Grant Sorenson. "Actually, I believe Grant was just leaving, right Grant?" I ask him. "But perhaps he needs some assistance remembering where the door is, if you wouldn't mind Max." I smile gratefully at Max.
