"Yeah," Maria says, and the most mschevious smile I've ever seen appears on her face. Well, that's an interesting side to her I'm seeing.

"You wouldn't believe how much fun a pick-up game of volleyball can be when people are using their powers. Or people do it in the hallways to have fun. Of course, some people's powers offer more advantages than others and sometimes they'll ask for a 'powers-free' game. Of course, we don't do stuff like that when we go into town, but normal around here is very different than most places,"She adds, shrugging once she's finished.

"That actually sounds fun. I mean, I can control when I change all the rest of the time, but I've never really been anywhere where I could. So you guys go into town? You can like leave during the school weeks and stuff?" Grinning at all the possibilities, I scratch my head.

Thank god my parents didn't drive me then; I can use my car to get around.

~Riley~

"Hey, I'm a mutant, too. I see alot of freaky things and your not one of them." Kyle said.

"Thanks Kyle. That was really sweet." I said to him with a smile.

~Tess~

He smiles and says, "Yeah. I just felt cold, and like I was going through a cloud or something," I smile back at him, glad that he's ok. "A cloud?" I ask. "Nobody's ever told me that one." I say and he was cold didn't he just say he never got cold. "You sure your ok?" I ask him.

~Kyle~

"Thanks Kyle. That was really sweet." She says smiling. I smile back, I think smiling is contageous or at least when she smiles, it is.

I lead her into Ric's and over to a booth. A waitor comes over and hands us both a menu. "Get whatever you. No matter what the cost." I tell her.

Nick

"A cloud? Nobody's ever told me that one." Tess says, grinning at me. "You sure your ok?"

"Yeah, I don't feel any different now, no anxiety," I explain, putting a hand on my head jokingly. "No fever, no symptoms."

"As for the cloud thing, that's just what I'd compare it to, I guess." She probably thinks I'm insane. I always have weird comparisons and analogies that come out of nowhere.

"No matter what the cost." Kyle said after getting in the booth and the waiter waits for us. "I think I might have a cheese burger and fries with cherry coke" I said handling my menu to the waiter.

~Tess~

"Yeah, I don't feel any different now, no anxiety," He says putting a hand to his head, jokingly, "No fever, no symptoms." I laugh at his joke and smile that he's ok.

"As for the cloud thing, that's just what I'd compare it to, I guess." He says and I nod my head. It a weird comparison, but I don't care. "So, I'm cloud girl?" I ask as a joke.

"I think I might have a cheese burger and fries with cherry coke" She says and hands the waiter the menu. I smile, now thats my kind of women. "Sound good, I'll have the same." I say and hand the waiter my menu, as well.

Nick

"So, I'm cloud girl?" Tess asks, going along with it, and I smile. Well, this could be fun.

"Cloud girl, saving the world by walking through one person at a time," I say in a false announcer voice, holding my arms out on front of me. "You better be careful, or the name just might stick. It's sorta cute," I tell her, putting my arms down. Oh god, did I just say it was cute? Please don't let her have caught that.

Kyle hands the waiter his menu and the waiter disappears. "So...why did you come to the school? Did your parents were freaking out?" I ask as I put one of my hands on my chin.
