Michael

Once I'm through coughing, I bring an arm underneath Max's shoulder, helping him stand.

"I think we should all go get something to eat and then we can talk," I say in agreement, eyeing Sabrina's face and Kyle as he stands.

"Come on, let's get back to the kids," I add, watching the collapsed building continue to burn. I'm never letting the kids out of the house again. Ever.

Isabel and Sabrina started walking ahead of us. With a little support from Michael we follow with Kyle right next to us.

"You ok?" I ask him. Flashes of his pale face and blood from the first time I healed him flew through my head. That was the day that he was dragged into this alien chaos...along with the best thing for us. My left leg gave out and nearly stumbled but Michael stopped and kept me on my feet.

"I should be asking that of you?" Kyle said draping my free arm over his shoulder and taking the rest of my weight.

I close my eyes briefly and nod. "I just need some rest. I should be able to do small doses of healings if needed."

We continued walking. "Or maybe one of the kids got that gift and can help out."

"Maybe," Kyle said as we rounded the pile of fire and seeing the group of family gathered not far away.

Even from this distance I see Lily in James's arms while Amy is with Oliver. All four were looking quite cozy.

"Uh...Kyle..." I say as we get closer. "Why does your son have his arms all over my daughter?" The possessive dad in me gives a little kick. Somehow I'd always felt that with so many kids between all of us, and how close we were, that several would gravitate toward each other, but I never thought they would be my daughters. In fact, I don't remember ever even giving them permission to date. My lovely beautiful wife was right when she said that things were going to change tonight...but I don't see it for the better for me.

'Erik, the Sheriff is alright... it's weird... but uncle Max seemed to have healed him... We'll be back over there soon. ' I hear my sister say and can't help but let out a sigh in relief drawing Christina's attention.

"They are on their way over. Kyle is fine." I tell her with a slight smile but Bre's words worries me some. Uncle Max healed Kyle? How was that possible? If he has power to do that, does that have something to do with why Bre and I have these strange powers?

I look over and see Sabrina approaching with Mom. I smile and step a little away from the group. A little ways behind them I see Christina's dad and Kyle helping Uncle Max. My smile fades as I rush over to them. If he healed Kyle, did that hurt him to do it?

I know that Christina is not far behind me but before I could reach the guys Mom stops me.

I eye Uncle Max. "What happened? Is he going to be ok?"

Max asks if I'm ok but as he does so, he stumbles. I know that the healing he did on me took a lot out of him and I felt guilty that I'd been the caused of it.

"I should be asking that of you." I say throwing my friend's arm over my shoulder and helping Michael out with him.

He tries to assure me that he's fine but I know better. He's completely worn out and silently hope that none of the kids are in need of his abilities. Or maybe like he said, maybe one of them can help somehow. If anything, I know Michael, Isable, or Tess could give him a little upper for a short time.

"Uh...Kyle... Why does your son have his arms all over my daughter?"

I look to where Max is looking and see James's arms wrapped around Lily. But then from my view, I see that she's gripping on to him just as tightly.

"Maybe it's your daughter clinging to James." I chuckle. Maybe, just maybe, this could be the small turn in our relationship I was looking for.

As Danni tells me she lost control, scenes of the building in flames flash before my eyes. I was able to calm her down after that? Everything seemed so wierd; I mean, sure, some things about aliens you never got used to.

"My room or yours... it's up to you? Once we're relaxed we can talk about everything." Danni says, after kissing me briefly again, and I turn to make sure the bike's off and that I have the key.

"Let's go to mine," I tell her; that way I can be sure that I've got the only key. I hadn't given Jake his yet, so I wouldn't have to talk to him if he couldn't get in. Of course, locks usually didn't stop him.

I know she wants to talk about everything that's happened, including the kiss, and I agree. Grabbing her arm, I lead us up to the room, stopping to unlock the door.

"Come on."

Tyler

I stand there allowing mom to do her usual health inspection, but am puzzled by her words. "Are you sure you're alright, Ty? Do I need to have Max take a look at you?" What would Mr. Evans be able to do?

Not that it matters. I see Dad, Uncle Kyle, and Mr. Evans come around the corner with Sabrina. Letting out a silent breath of relief that she's okay I walk over to my dad.

"Dad, do you need help?" I ask him, watching as he carries Mr. Evans forward. The three of them look worn out, and Sabrina just looks confused while she stands with her mother.

When my dad just shakes his head to say he's fine, I move towards Sabrina. "Are you okay?" I ask her, then look towards Mrs. Whitman. "Hi Mrs. Whitman."

I move away from my mom's hug to look around, and I see Erik sigh in relief. Giving him a questioning look, he tells me that Uncle Kyle is fine, and I let a smile appear on my face.

Good. He's my only uncle. I see the men walking towards us, looking a little worse for the wear, but all the same just fine. My brother runs over to ask if they need help, and Erik does the same, but is stopped by his mother.

I follow him, but stop just before I reach them. Considering Uncle Kyle was trapped in the building, he looks relatively healthy, which is odd.

I hear someone mention something about going to the Crashdown, and I'm all for it. I want to talk to Erik anyways, about the whole skin thing and my brother seeing it, and the healed Uncle Kyle thing; it looks like he knows something.

"What happened with Kyle?" Amy asked, looking upset and scared.

"I don't know," I said hesitantly. She blanched, and I kissed her lightly on the lips, trying to sooth her. "Hey, it's ok. I'm sure he's fine. I'm sure everyone is ok." I told her, although inside I wasn't nearly as confident. What if someone wasn't ok? My own sister was almost trapped in the blaze; if it hadn't been for the stranger, she may not have made it out at all. The thought caused a chill to go through me.

I hugged Amy tighter, kissing her again. I savored the fact that, she, at least, was ok. When I pulled back and glanced up, I noticed that Kyle, Max, Michael, and Sabrina had returned.

"Look," I said to Amy, "Kyle's fine, and so is...." I drifted off when I noticed the look Mr. Evans was sending my way. I knew exactly what that was about, and I hoped that one of his secret powers wasn't death-ray eyes. I swallowed hard, and then grabbed Amy's hand and walked over to them. There were more important things to discuss, after all.

"I want to know what's going on; why we can all do these things. And I’m not going to wait much longer." I said firmly once we got over there, making eye-contact with Kyle, Max, and Michael.

~Sabrina~

As we all walk back toward the others, I stay beside my mother who's arm is around my shoulder and try to close off the emotions that I'm feeling from everywhere. Now that the Sheriff isn't in danger, there isn't one main emotion I'm feeling. I see Tyler coming towards us and can't help but smile even as I hear him question his dad, "Dad, do you need help?"

I'm still feeling really confused about how these gifts work and why no one told us anything. Looking at my mother, I step away from her a bit as I look toward Tyler when he walked over to us. "Are you okay?" He asks and I nod, smiling as I step over to him.

"I'm alright, confused but alright.." When he looks over at my mom I'm hoping that she's not going to say anything about the changes.

"Hi Mrs. Whitman." He greets my mom.

"Hello, Tyler. Are you alright?" My mother asked and I sighed in relief that she wasn't going to blow up at either of us. I moved to stand even closer, putting my arm around Tyler's waist and smiling at him.

"Mom, Ty was a hero. He helped me get off the stage and out of there before the stage could collapse." I tell her, hoping that both she and my dad would think of that before deciding to freak out about my dating.

"Thank you, Tyler. I'm glad to know that my daughter has such a noble friend around." I see mother give a secretive smile toward my father and wonder what that is about.

When we'd all basically gathered around, I hear Oliver start going off, "I want to know what's going on; why we can all do these things. And I’m not going to wait much longer."

"Oliver, mom and Uncle Max agree that we all need to talk. We're supposed to all go to the Crash." I explain, hating how meek my voice suddenly gets.

Maria's voice sounds as she speaks calmly, "Sounds like a good idea. It's time that all five of our families sit down and talk. Tyler, Christina, let's get into the car and we'll meet everyone there."

My mother nodded her agreement, "Sabrina, Erik... I'm going to trust the two of you to ride in your car. Meet your father and I at the Crash."

Mrs. Valenti spoke out after a moment, "James you can drive your sister there." Her voice wasn't quite as calm when she ran over to her husbands side and wrapped her arms around him, whispering something in his ear that I couldn't hear.

James nodded but ended up speaking out, "Mr. Evans, if you'll permit it, I'd like to offer to drive Lily back to the Crash." Then he looked at the Sheriff, "Dad, are you okay?"

When I saw my husband return with Kyle and everyone else, I quickly rushed over. I hadn't been doing much except going around and asking if everyone was ok, and I really wanted to find some way to be useful. As I got to where most of the kids and adults were gathered, I heard Oliver say, "I want to know what's going on; why we can all do these things. And I’m not going to wait much longer."

I grimaced and shot my husband a look, expecting to meet his eyes. When I didn't I glanced around to where he was staring, and noticed how close Amy was to Oliver. Then I looked around for Lily, and noticed that she was wrapped up in James. I held back a sigh. As if things weren't complicated enough, now we had to deal with our children dating.

I knew Max was probably ready to pound both Oliver and James, so I walked over to him and laid my hand on his arm, trying to sooth him. The fact that Oliver had demanded information didn't exactly help the boy's case. Although he did have a right to know what was going on, and he was probably just as freaked out as everyone else.

"Oliver, mom and Uncle Max agree that we all need to talk. We're supposed to all go to the Crash." Sabrina said quietly.

Maria took this moment to jump in. I started when I saw her; I'd thought she was still out of town. "Sounds like a good idea. It's time that all five of our families sit down and talk. Tyler, Christina, let's get into the car and we'll meet everyone there."

Isabel nodded in a grim sort of way. "Sabrina, Erik... I'm going to trust the two of you to ride in your car. Meet your father and I at the Crash."

"James you can drive your sister there." Kyle said, looking rattled. I assumed we all were; we'd never wanted our children to find out like this.

"Mr. Evans, if you'll permit it, I'd like to offer to drive Lily back to the Crash. Dad, are you okay?" James said, and I gripped Max's shoulder a little tighter, silently telling him to be civil.

"I'll drive Amy," Oliver immediately jumped in, and I winced. Max was not going to deal with this well.

"That's fine, both of you. Just get them there." I said before Max could talk.
