"Well I can't keep avoiding him for the rest fo my life so might as well be civil and if he tries to talk to me too much I can fling some water in his face or something." "But seriously,let him hang aorund if he wants.Don't know what he thinks he's going to achieve."

"Give him hell!" I cheer her on with a grin. Of course he's going to hang around - he might be a stupid ass but no one can be so stupid to not try again to get together with a woman like Isabel.

"Let's get some snacks to munch one."

"Eating is always good." I comment, looking for the food. "Looks like Liz has some nice collection of various snacks. Do you want me to serve you something?"

Isabel

"Yeah,that would be nice.Can you get me some of those little tarts with the chicken pate in them and one of those chutney sandwiches,those look tasty?" I tell him,after looking at the table

"I'm going to go sit down for a while.May be later I'll have some pizza...What!?" I see the look of surprise on his face "I like to eat."

Alex

"Yes Ma'am." I reply with a slight bow. "Dinner will be served in a few minutes."

"I'm going to go sit down for a while.May be later I'll have some pizza...What!? I like to eat."

"What? Oh, don't me wrong. I don't mind that you like to eat instead of starving half of the time. I may be a bit surprised but only in a good way." I'm quick to reassure her. "I'd only feel guilty if I was the only one who eats and eats and eats and eats and eats. Not to forget, I like your choice of food. Be right back with a big plate."

I wink at her and head over to the goodies, intent on preparing a perfect plate for my lady.

Things get a little uncomfortable after Isabel and Grant's little show and I cough a little. "Tess, you wanna go grab that food now?" I ask, holding out a hand for her to take. I give the guy a half smile but it's obviously forced. "Excuse us."

~LIZ~

I open my mouth to answer Max when I glance over to where Kyle is leading Tess away and whoa! Is that Grant Sorenson? I frown and that quickly turns into a glare as I narrow my eyes in his direction. I quickly remember Max, however and look back up at him. "I'm sorry, Max, would you excuse me for a moment? I have a pest problem to take care of."

Isabel

"I'd only feel guilty if I was the only one who eats and eats and eats and eats and eats. Not to forget, I like your choice of food. Be right back with a big plate."

I chuckle happily and sit down on the sofa,streching my legs out,looking aorund at the people idly,not really thinking anything when I see a pair of legs come up in front of me,"Hey Izzy,this seat taken?"

Before I can say 'yes' Grant plonks himself down besides me and grins,"I thought we could catch up."

I sigh in frustration,"What part of I do not want to talk to you,do you not understand?" I ask and turn away "Aww,come Iz,at least I'm trying to make amends.We can be friends."

"Friends do not betray each other Grant. Or is that concept too much for your neanderthal brain to handle?"

Alex

Having gotten one huge plate of food - Isabel and i have the same taste, so I figure we can eat from the same plate, besides, it's easier to carry one plate than two - I turn back to her and see her ex sitting next to her, with Isabel looking so not happy.

I'm torn between running over and dragging the jerk away from Isabel and wanting to wait and let her handle the situation, not wanting to appear like an over-possessive ork.

When someone clears his throat beside me, I realize that I'm blocking the buffet so ... guess I'll head over instead of standing around like a fool.

"Friends do not betray each other Grant. Or is that concept too much for your neanderthal brain to handle?"

I can't help but smile at Isabel's words. I knew she could handle this herself. Smiling brightly at Isabel, I sit down next to her, balancing the plate on my lap.

"Hope it is enough for the two of us." I tell her before looking at Grant. "Oh, hey Gary."

Isabel

"Hope it is enough for the two of us." Alex says and sits down on one side of me
So here I am sitting between two men,one an ex-boyfriend and the other...a current boyfriend,I think.

"Oh, hey Gary."

I can't help but snicker when Alex gets Grant's name wrong which I'm quite sure he did on purpose.
"It's Grant,not Gary." Grant says in an annoyed tone

"Thanks for the food." I say as I pop one tart in to my mouth "Mmm,this is yummy Alex."

Alex

"It's Grant,not Gary."

"Oh, I'm sorry." I say sarcastically. "I'm really really bad with names."

"Thanks for the food." "Mmm,this is yummy Alex."

I'm sure that watching Isabel eat isn't supposed to be such a turn on, especially when her ex-boyfriend is sitting next to us but it certainly is.

"Well what can I say, Miss Evans - you have excellent taste." I grin before taking a bit of food myself.

Then I turn back to Grant with an innocent look. "Would you mind leaving us alone? Thanks Greg."

To Isabel, I say - totally ignoring Grant now of course, "So far, the party is really nice."

OOC-Beth do you actually have any kinda games planned or was that just mentioned off-handedly

"Now I certainely do.Can't say much for my earlier tastes." I reply glaring at Grant before taking a bite of the sandwich

"Would you mind leaving us alone? Thanks Greg...So far, the party is really nice." Alex says dismissing Grant and I smile at him gratefully

"Yeah and the food's great."

"I'll see you around Izzy,when you aren't so busy with waiter boy here. Grant says nodding at Alex as he gets up and walks
"Shut up you jerk." I yell back at his retreating figure "I'm sorry Alex."
