OT: Since Mel said she'll be back on tonight, the posting not more than once a day won't start until tomorrow.

Luckily we are interrupted so I am saved from further questioning,"Hello, ladies," Well lookie here,it's the playboy.I glance at Tess and smirk at her.Apparently Liz knows him from the way she jumped up and hugged and kissed him and his name's Kyle.

"These are my best friends in the whole world. This is Isabel, Maria, and Tess." Liz introduces us and I smile at him and notice his gaze lingers on Tess a while longer than necessary

"Nice to meet you all. This is my friend, Michael," he introduces us to his friend with the 'hair' who looks rather broody and then Alex comes up to our group,"Hey Liz!"

Wait a minute...he knows Liz!Oh no,don't tell me he's was one of her one night stands or one of the guys she's flirted with mercilessly or had a fling with.I think I will be sick if he is.

Deciding that I wasn't going to mope, I smile at the woman by the bar. I have a feeling that I should know her...

"Hi Max..."

Yep...I should...
"Hiya!" I say enthusiastically. "How are you?"

She laughs at me. "You don't remember me do you?" she says before snorting. I smile impishly at her and say, "How about you remind me? On the dance floor?"

She nods and I quickly take her hand and lead her to the dance floor. We begin to dance, and I try my best to forget all about Alex and my sister.

"By the way..." she murmurs in my ear in a husky voice, "It's Kate."

I glance behind the other two as my name is called and I see Alex standing there. I take a quick peek at Isabel's reaction and am delighted to see she looks a little green with envy. I flash a brillant smile at Alex and pull him into a hug. "Hi, Alex," I chirp happily. "Long time no see. You still hanging out with this loser, Kyle?"

"Hey! I resemble that remark," I joke. Then I pull up an empty chair from one of the nearby tables. Mind if I sit down? We have a lot of catching up to do and I'd love to get to know your friends better."

I flash Liz a smile and turn it on each of the young ladies in turn but feel it soften just a bit when I turn to Tess. I hope to catch her attention a little. I'd really like to get to know her.

Well, well, well. It seems Kyle has a bit of a heart after all. He's not leering after Tess, but he's attracted to her. I bite my lip as I wait to see how everything will start to unfold...between the Alex/Isabel situation, the Kyle/Tess situation, and the spikey haired Michael, maybe tonight will be a lot more fun than even I had thought.

I study Michael a little closer. He's kinda cute, in a bad boy sort of way. "Please, all of you are welcome to join us," I offer, waving at the empty chairs around the area.

ALEX

"Hi, Alex, Long time no see. You still hanging out with this loser, Kyle?"

I laugh at the greeting, giving Liz a brief hug. "Yeah well ... someone has to look after him, you know how he is."

I curiously watch as Kyle sits down next to .... Tess, I think, starting a conversation with her - looking into her eyes and not down her breats. Wow, didn't expect that.

"Please, all of you are welcome to join us,"

"Thanks." I reply at Liz's words, kinda unneccessary since Kyle is already sitting. I briefly glance in Max's direction - of course there is already a girl hanging on his arm again and then sit down next to Isabel.

"Kyle once set Liz and me up on a blind date." I tell her with a smile before speaking quietly, "it didn't work out at all but we don't want to tell Kyle that so ... don't mention it, kay?"

Isabel

Alex sits down next to me and little bubble of happiness explodes inside of me.Did I just say bubble of happiness?Sheeshh...I sound so damn sappy!
Of course he'll sit next ot me.I'm the only one apart from Liz that he knows here.Kyle is too busy making eyes at Tess...ALREADY!!

"Kyle once set Liz and me up on a blind date." he explains
That's it...I am going to be sick.I kissed a guy my friend made out with on a date...forget made out probably did a lot more.Yuck!I need to rinse my mouth with some listerine right now.

"it didn't work out at all but we don't want to tell Kyle that so ... don't mention it, kay?" he concludes and I slump back against my seat in relief.I really must get a hold of my imagination.It's too wild for it's own good...I always get carried away and jump to conclusions.

"I'll take your secret to my grave." I say solemnly and grin at him

ALEX

"Thank you! I owe you!" I laugh, taking another sip before reaching for my earlier abondonded (sp?) Mai Tai. "Kyle would really be crushed if he learned that he isn't a great matchmaker." I tease then turn serious again.

"I talked with Max a bit. He said the reason he didn't immediately come over to you was because he didn't want to have a reunion in a bar where he couldn't really talk to you."

Okay, that is not really what he said but I got to help my future brother in law a bit and ... God, what do they put into those drinks? Future brother in law? Maybe I should switch to orange juice.

Isabel

"Kyle would really be crushed if he learned that he isn't a great matchmaker."
"I don't doubt that." I reply and glance over at Tess,she better be careful with him

"I talked with Max a bit. He said the reason he didn't immediately come over to you was because he didn't want to have a reunion in a bar where he couldn't really talk to you."
"Tell me Alex,how long has Max been in town?" I ask slightly irritated by that lame excuse

... uh ... how long is he in town?
