"Of course." I say with a nod, before whispering to Serena, "or so she thinks."

Turning to mini-me, I ask, "Seth, you wanna stay a bit longer with your aunt or go and see our new home?"

I don't want him to be a burden for Serena or anything when he spents so much time here already.

oh btw, everyone can feel free to "use" Seth as you want

*Liz*

Everyone groans at my suggestion and at once I feel like maybe that was a mistake. Tess however smiles as Zan looks at me frantically.

“Take it back, take it back!” Zan begs pretending to be terrified at the particular outcome. I can't help but fail miserably at supressing a giggle. Tess, Zan, and Serena have such an interesting dynamic between the three of them. There so must trust and memories I don't know how I'll ever be able to just fit right into the middle of it. I hope I can though. These are truly wonderful people and I want to be apart of the closeness they share.

Tess glares evily at Zan who appears anything but sorry. “I would love to take you shopping. Macy’s is having a huge sale. Oooh and maybe we could head over to Bloomingdale’s or Saks. Or we could head straight to Madison Avenue. They have Prada.”

Oh my goodness, what have I done? She's like a shopoholic.

"You know on second thought maybe we could just grab something to eat. I'm famished." I suggest with a cheerful smile.

SERENA

Alex rolls his eyes at me and I make a note to be more subtle in the future. I only wish that I knew how to be subtle. It would probably make things so much easier. Of course, subtly has never worked for me in the past. When I first met Zan, I knew that he was the kind of person I could fall in love with and I told him straight out that I didn’t play games. Luckily for me, Zan didn’t freak out like hundreds of other guys would have.

"Of course I was distracted by something else." He pauses for a effect and I widen my eyes in surprise, playing into his little game. "Isabel and I discussed her pictures and had a debatte on whether I should pay for a few of them or not."

"Which of course I won" Isabel adds with a smile.

"Of course." Alex says, still smiling as he adds in a whisper to me. "or so she thinks."

This is so very interesting. Their conversation could be classified as light flirtation. I’m surprised that Alex even remembers how t flirt. It has been a while since he has to and even before Abby, he was slightly retarded when it came to women. I think that’s one of the main reasons Abby fell in love with him, his sweet geeky charm.

"Seth, you wanna stay a bit longer with your aunt or go and see our new home?" Alex asks Seth who starts to get excited about going to the house.

I don’t want them to leave yet but I understand that they must be dying to see the house and Seth told me himself that he wanted to pick his bedroom out. I’m just thankfully that Alex decided to come and visit me before he got caught up with everything else.

"I'm so glad that you guys are finally here." I state with a smile. "I already made sure that everything was okay at the house but if there is anything you needed gimme a call and I will sort everything out."

TESS

"You know on second thought maybe we could just grab something to eat. I'm famished."

I try not to show my disappointment when Liz changes her mind about the shopping. I think I might have been a little bit over the top mentioning all of those stores. I should have remembered that Liz is new to New York and obviously not into the whole shopping thing like myself.

“Food would be good too,” I say, remembering that I had only eaten a banana for breakfast. “Actually, food would be great. I haven’t eaten too much today.”

Shopping on a empty stomach is always a bad move. It takes the enjoyment out of it and leaves me feeling grumpy. Although, I’m so going to kick Zan’s ass for his earlier comments. The boy is off my Christmas card list for sure.

“Do you guys want to join us?” I ask my friends. It would be rude not to ask them after all. I glance at Serena, “Lawson, do you want to get something to eat?”

Zan shakes his head and answers for the both of them “I think we going to hang out here. I had to work last night and Serena has got to work tonight so it is the only time we will get to be alone.”

I roll my eyes. “Izzy? Max? Are you in or are you out?”

*Liz*

“Food would be good too,” she replies with a hint of diappointment. I'll make it up to her later. I'll allow her to drag me around all the shops later when my self control returns. I don't know what it is about this Max guy, but ever since he walked through that door it feels like my entire body is on fire. I've got to get out of here before I do something completely uncharacteristic.

“Actually, food would be great. I haven’t eaten too much today.” she answers while shooting daggers at Zan. Thank goodness. We are getting out of here.

“Do you guys want to join us?” she asks the group and instantly my eyes meet the floor.

“Lawson, do you want to get something to eat?” she questions with a cheerful grin. I hate to say I envy Tess's enthusiasm.

“I think we going to hang out here. I had to work last night and Serena has got to work tonight so it is the only time we will get to be alone.” Zan answers for both he and his girlfriend. I nod politely while Tess dramatically rolls her eyes. She is quite an interesting character.

“Izzy? Max? Are you in or are you out?”

Trying not to look like a total antisocialist I agree.

"You should come. It'll be fun." Outside I'm keeping cool. Inside I'm doing cartwheels naked. LOL I want to get to know Max better, but something tells me that my obvious attraction to him could make that a very bad idea.

Theres so many conversations going on around me.
When I hear that Alex and Seth are probably about to take off I sigh in my head. That was probably the last I'd see of him.

“Izzy? Max? Are you in or are you out?” Tess says.

"You should come. It'll be fun." Liz adds.

What will??

I look up at Tess. "Erm...In....Might as well...."

God knows what Ive got myself in for....I was too busy paying attention to Alex...
Must stop this daydreaming. I wont see him ever again unfortunitely and that will be the end of that...
God I wish it wasnt...

"Erm...In....Might as well...." Isabel says looking slightly dazed and its pretty obvious that she has no idea what she has agreed to do. This would be the perfect opportunity to tease Isabel.

“Seriously?” I ask, trying to keep all traces of a smile off of my smile. “I never pictured you as the type of person that wanted to visit a nudist beach. You better get a towel otherwise you’re end up getting sand everywhere and I’m pretty sure that it’s a uncomfortable experience.”

Isabel’s eyes widen at my mention of the nudist beach. Hee! The look on the her face is priceless as she mouth the words nudist beach in shock and I wish that I had a camera so that I could cherish this moment forever or at least show Maria when she finally gets home.

“I’m kidding!” I snort with amusement. “We're going for out for some food.”

I mouth "nudist beach?" in shock. Oh God why wasnt I paying attention! Stupid me for paying attention to Alex....the cute Alex...

I let out a huge whoosh of air that I was holding but didnt realise I was.

"You...." I mutter darkly. I sigh closing my eyes. God Tess is as bad as Serena at her inuendos...
"Grr....I swear if children were not present....there would be serious chasing around the dining table!"

TESS

“That’s such a mean thing to say, Isabel. Especially about your brother!” I say with a huge grin. Oh, I do love to tease my friends. Its so very amusing. “Just because Zan is a little slow and mentally on the same level as a five year old doesn’t mean you should treat him differently. He is a very special adult.” I pick up a cookie from the table and offer it to Zan while speaking in voice normally reserved for babies and puppies. “Do you want a cookie, Zan?”

“That’s real cute, Blondie.” Zan says, taking the offer cookie. “I hope you still find it as funny the next time its pouring down with rain and you‘re stranded down at Madison Avenue cause I‘m not coming to pick you up again.”

“Ha! Luckily for me, I have lots of nicer and cuter friends who would be more than willing to help a friend in need.” I say, poking my tongue out at him. “Serena, you wouldn’t mind picking me up the next time I’m stuck would you?”

“Nope.” Serena says looking over briefly before focusing on Seth and Alex again. Hmm, I wonder if that's why Zan was so moody when he first came into the kitchen. He's never been that good with sharing Serena's attentions especially with other men.

“See?” I say with a smug smile. I can always count on Serena to back me up. Well, most of the time. I mean, really, some times she has to back up Zan because he's her man.

“I’ll make sure that she is busy with more exciting things.” Zan says with a wickedly smug grin.

“Ha! I’ve seen what you’ve got to offer. And its not that exciting!”

“That’s it!” Zan says, lunging for me.

I squeal as he grabs me around the waist and sweeps me off of my feet. Oooh, he’s in for an ass kicking now. As soon as I can escape, I’m going to kick him.

“Put me down!” I laugh.

“Not until you take it back.” He says, his eyes filled with amusement. “Take it back otherwise there’s going to be trouble.”

“Serena! Liz! Iz!” I beg. I’d rather have a little help from my friends then take it back. Zan deserved that comment for making Liz sheepish about the shopping trip. And I bet its kinda true. "Someone help me out!"
