Everyone finally agreed to go to my house and I told Adam to ride with the girl named Maria. I knew that I could use a link to help guide Teresa so she could in turn tell Kyle the directions. While in Max's jeep, I remained silent, using my link to speak to Mena and prepared her for the groups arrival. Filling her in on everything that happened, including the strange man that had showed himself to me. I had a feeling she tried to push me from her mind then, but I didn't try to delve, simply told her she could explain when ready.
We finally arrived in front of the strangely victorian house. It stood out from all the others and I still couldn't help but wonder how it had gotten to be here. It didn't seem like it belonged. The wooden shutters were closed, painted a pale forest green. The upper rim's of the house were a sea foam green while the rest of the outer walls bore a midnight blue color. It was similar to the color scheme of the outer section of the old loft Mena had when we were back in Cali.
I walked up to the door and waited until all three vehicles pulled up and emptied. I then opened the door and explained, "We do not use electricity in our house much. Our stove and refridgerator are the main items used for electricity in this place." I knew it might sound strange but I simply led them into the large den where Mena had brought out some of the other chairs and such to make room for everyone but there was no sign of Mena.
"Mom!" I called out, trying to at least pretend normalcy for the moment, I wondered whether or not she would still look young or not.
"I'll be right down!" I heard her call back and could tell she was up on the second floor, more then likely tending to getting the old book or something. "Tea's been brewed, Cam. Get everyone a mug and I'll be there. How many amulets?" She asked and I wondered what she meant but glanced around to count.
"Five." I called back up.
Then turning to face the others, I motioned to seats, "Everyone, please make yourselves comfortable. Adam and I will be right back." I turned to my brother and smiled, "Come on, Adam. Help me with the tea."
Adam nodded and together we went into the kitchen leaving the others to have time to peruse the room and talk amongst themselves if they felt the need.
~Isabel~
I wasn't quite certain what I was expecting, but I knew that there was no way I was leaving Alex in the care of Cameron without me being there. I didn't trust her even if she had helped us all out and seemed to have the purest intentions. I didn't know anything about her and this was already some weird stuff. What had she meant by
'seventy two hours to fill you in and find out whether you're willing to accept who you are and what it means before the Hunter will have informed someone even worse.'
Who could Alex be? He was human, wasn't he? What the hell was that thing? That certainly couldn't have been human. Without thinking as we rode in the jeep I'd found myself reaching for Alex's hand, the fear I'd felt when I thought he could be hurt had been too much for me to handle.
However, now we were led into a home where Cameron explained that they don't use electricity, and I can see that candles alight every walk way and circle the den where we are led. As Cameron calls out to her mother and they talk back and forth, I look around the room. What I see is walls filled with what looked like old Sumerian, Egyptian and Greek relics. It was as though we'd walked into a museum of some sort. When Adam and Cameron have left the room I turned to look at my friends and my brother. "Is everyone really alright? Are we certain we can trust them?"
My concern was overwhelming, my hopes that I hadn't just walked into a trap set for all of us had me on edge and as people began taking seats, I sat between Max and Alex on one of the plus deer hide couches. I sighed as I waited for the responses from the others.

Up in the room where I'd led my best-friend, I sighed as I glanced down at her sleeping form. I was glad that she'd managed to go to sleep, glad that I'd been able to help her relax even though I was concerned that she wouldn't regain her memories. I glanced at the dead amulet in my hand and was glad that I'd replaced it with a new one. "Selene, protect her." I whispered as I stood and silently exited the room before closing the door behind me and making my way to my own room.
Inside there, I gathered the books and scrolls I needed and organized them to the best effect as I could. I didn't want to spring all of this on them without them having the tea that Maggie often brewed for me and the others. So, as was normal, I went downstairs while Cameron explained the situation to me and began brewing the tea, knowing it would help open the minds of those that drank it, helping them to recognize the truth that we would be speaking.
While it brewed, I returned to my room and began pacing, fingering my amulet and pocketing the dead one. I couldn't get over how Serena had come to be here and Stanton's appearance. Could they have some sort of connection? What would Stanton do when he realized that Serena was here? It was at that moment when Cameron was describing the strange man she'd seen and I realized that she meant Stanton. Stanton had revealed himself to my Daughter.
What was I going to do now? How was I to explain? I tried to draw back, shut her out, but instead I heard her tell me that she would wait until I was ready. Sighing, I was glad that Cameron wasn't going to delve.
