Part 29

After four days Max and Liz headed back to school. Liz walked into her apartment expecting to find her roommates. But instead found a note of Carolyn.

Yo Lizzie,
Out with Brandon. May stay at his place tonight. Rena when to Roswell with Kyle. Meeting his dad. You and Maxie have the place to yourselves. Have fun! See ya tomorrow.

Liz just shook her head. She was never going to understand Carolyn.

"Everything OK Liz?" Asked Max
"Everything is great. Carolyn is out with Brandon. Oh and Kyle finally got Serena to go meet his dad."
"Haven't they met before?"
"Not really. Serena knows who he is, and he met her once when she was in town visiting my family. But that was a while ago. But this is the first time as Kyle's girlfriend."
"So we have the whole place to ourselves?"
"Yeah."

Max just grined and looked at Liz. Liz took one look at him and took off running. Max chased her and caught her picked her up threw her over his shoulder and carried her to her bed. Liz giggled as he pinned her to the bed. Max looked down at her seeing nothing but love and trust in her eyes. He leaned down and started to kiss her deeply. They made short work of their clothes. Max kissed Liz slowly down her body. She moaned as he moved down her body. He was slowly torchering her.

"Max!"
"Not this time baby. This time it is my way."

Liz let out a groan as he kept his slow movement over her body. He finally reached her center and pushed his fingers into her and started to pump them in and out.

"I should get that." Said Liz
"Ignor it. Maybe whoever it is will go away." Mummbled Max into her neck.
"Sorry but I have to."

Max pouted as Liz got out of bed and pulled on her robe to answer the door.

Part 30

Liz opened the door to find a girl a couple years younger then her standing there. Looking closely she knew this had to be Carolyn's younger sister.

"Hi may I help you?" Asked Liz
"Uh yeah. I am looking for my sister. Carolyn Turner." Said the girl
"Katrina?"
"Yeah."
"Come in. I'm Liz Parker one of her roommates."
"Thanks."
"I'm sorry to say she is out with her boyfriend, may not be home tonight."
"Shit! I really need to talk to her about something."
"I know you don't know me. But I might be able to help."

"But before we talk, do your foster parents know you are here?"

"I want you to call them and tell them you are here. I'm going to change into something else and be right back."

Liz when back into her room grabbed a T-shirt and pair of pajama pants.

"Who was at the door?" Asked Max from the bed.
"Care's younger sister. There is something bothering her. I am going to talk with her."
"Want me to stay here?"
"Yeah."

Max gave her a kiss and she when back out to the living room.

"I talked to my foster mom. She is ok with me being here. If it's ok with you she would rather I spend the night rather then drive home. There is a strom moving in." Said Katrina
"It's fine. Now what is on your mind?"
"It's this guy I have been dating. He wants to take our relationship to the next level."
"He wants to have sex?"
"Yeah. I just don't know if I am ready for that."
"Katrina do you love this guy?"
"I don't know."
"Do you trust him?"
"I don't know what you mean?"
"To take that step you have to have full trust in the person you are with. I made the mistake of being with someone, that I didn't fully trust. He treated me poorly and it was a while before I did trust someone like that again. Don't rush into this choice. This something that you can never take back."
"I will remember that. Thanks for the advice Liz."
"Glad to be of some help. Now did you want to sleep in your sister's room?"
"Uh no offence but no. I would rather not sleep in a bed my sister has sex in. I don't care if the sheets are clean! I will sleep out here on the sofa if that is OK."
"Sure."
"Oh and Liz tell your boyfriend I am sorry for pulling you away from him."
"How did you know?"
"I don't think that you sleep naked all the time do you?"
"You're right."
"I also saw him peeking out at us. He is kind of cute."
"Yeah he is."

Liz grabbed a blanket and pillow for Katrina and gave them to her before returning to her room. Max pulled her into his arms and started to kiss her.

"Sorry honey. But Katrina is spending the night on the sofa."
"Make it up to me?"
"I will. I promise."

Max kissed her and they both when to bed.

Part 31

Liz woke the next morning to the smell of bacon cooking. She saw Max was already starting to dress.

"Morning." Said Liz
"Morning sweetie. Seems your guest is making breakfast."
"Yeah. I wonder if she cooks as well as her sister."
"Well there is one way to find out."

Liz gave Max a kiss then both made their way to the kitchen. There they found Katrina pulling the last of the bacon out of the pan. She turned and smiled at the couple.

"Morning. I hope you don't mind that I am making breakfast." Said Katrina
"No. That is very nice of you." Said Liz
"I don't mind. I like cooking. My foster mother taught both Carolyn and me to cook."
"Smells good." Said Max
"Katrina, this is Max Evans. Max, Carolyn's sister Katrina Turner." Said Liz
"Nice to meet you Max." Said Katrina
"You too. Care talks about you a lot."
"All good I hope." Said Katrina
"Yes it has been." Said Max
"Great. So do you both like strawberry pancakes?"
"Yes." Said both Max and Liz
"Great!"

Katrina opened the oven and pulled out a platter of pancakes. Liz looked closer and could see pieces of fresh strawberries cut up in them. Katrina placed it on the table a long with the plate of bacon. She had also put a bowl of mixied berries on the table.

"Wow this looks and smells great!" Said Max
"Thanks." Said Katrina

The three of them had just sat down to breakfast when Carolyn walked in.

"Kat! What on earth are you doing here?" Asked Carolyn
"Hey Care. I came by last night to talk to you about something but you weren't here." Said Katrina
"Sorry honey. You still need to talk?"
"Uh I talked with Liz and she gave me some good advice."
"Thanks Liz for looking out for my sister." Said Carolyn
"Anytime."
"So is there enough for me to join you?" Asked Carolyn
"Yes." Said Katrina

Carolyn sat down and helped herself to some pancakes.

"So do Grace and John know where you are?" Asked Carolyn
"Yes. Liz made me call them. It was there idea that I stay here last night."
"It was a good idea. That storm was bad. Brandon and I just barely got back to his apartment before it hit."
"So am I ever going to meet this boyfriend of yours?"
"I haven't met your boyfriend yet either. Little sister."
"There is no point. I am going to break up with Shane."
"Why?"
"He wants something that I am not ready to give him."

Carolyn looked at Liz raising an eyebrow. Liz just nodded.

"I'm sorry honey."
"Don't be. Care, I can see that you are really happy with Brandon. I do know what Vincent did to you."
"Kat, I was not going to let him hurt you!"
"Care, I love you but you can't protect me forever."
"I know. But you were thirteen!"
"Yeah and you were fifteen."
"I know how old I was! Kat, while it did screw me up I will never regret protecting you."

Kat got up and hugged her sister. Liz knew Max had questions so she led him to her room so they could talk.
