"So now what?" I ask Michael quietly "Tell you what...just tell the witch that you want to have a word with him about the godfather thing...pretend like you don't know about Caly...I'll talk to the witch,introduce myself...take him outside."

*Maria*

Alex says that the chemistry is gone and I agree with him. What we had has long since died and we both love different people now.

I am about to add something else when michael and a man I have never seen before shows up in front of the house. Joy fills be until I see his angry expression. Uh Oh. What's wrong with him? Is he still mad at me because of the way I acted when i was all evil? Because I don't think I can be held accountable for those actions. I was possesed byt the source for crying out loud.

His friend takes a strategic stance next to him and it seems like they are going off to war. Putting on a serious face I realize he may not love me anymore. Not after I threw him up against the wall. The thought alone hurts more than I can bare. If he can't accept that I was evil for a day how can he eexpect me to come to terms with his own bad streak.

"Michael?" I state his name as a question.

Michael

"So now what?" Remus asks me, his voice barely above a whisper. I look at the two of them, and it's then that Maria notices me. She looks normal again, and I'm glad the real her is back. But what is she doing with Alex?

That'll work. Her name's Maria. I'l introduce you guys, and then ask to have a word with him.

"Michael?" Maria asks, and I realize she must think I'm mad at her.

I walk forward, hugging her briefly, pulling Remus along with me. "Hi Maria. I'm glad you're back to normal. This is my buddy Remus. He recently got into town." I smile at her and nod towards Remus, who steps forward, and then speak again. "Alex, can I have a word? Outside?"

*Maria*

He steps forward bringing me into a stiff hug. Ugh, it's worse than I thought. "Hi Maria. I'm glad you're back to normal. This is my buddy Remus. He recently got into town." He smiles at me in what sems to be a fake manner before nodding to his friend. I give him a polite smile wondering why Michael is acting so strange.

"Alex, can I have a word? Outside?"

Okay, something is definetely off. Why would Michael want to talk to Alex? In fact they both aren't really fond of one another. Hmmmm.

"Actually I thought we should talk." I say hesitantly. Something in his eyes is bothering me. He's holding back.

Michael

"Actually I thought we should talk." Maria says, giving me a funny look. I'd really rather not, considering I'm still a little bit angry at her for pushing me away while she was evil. Of course, I was partially to blame for that, but she was still cold.

"What about?" I ask innocently, as I stare holes into Alex's back. I really just want to get this over with; I'm itching to punch something. I know Maria's worried, but I don't know what to say to her, at all.

Remus

Uh ho this one isn't going to let Michael get the ass alone...think I better step in "Hi Maria" I pipe up "Michael's told me alot about you...it's nice to finally met you." I extend my hand to her
"I did see you underground but I guess we were all in a bit of rush back then to actually meet."

*Maria*


"What about?" he repiles nonchalantly without looking at me.

His tone is cold and it stings when i think about how much I care about him. He has to know that... right?

"Hi Maria" the stranger says nicely. "Michael's told me alot about you...it's nice to finally met you." He holds out his hand to shake mine so I place mine in his.

"I did see you underground but I guess we were all in a bit of rush back then to actually meet."

My half smile is strained at best. "Yeah, that's for helping us out back there. Being in a cage is not my idea of a good time."

Michael still won't look at me. How am I going to fix this? Does he really think that I wanted to act that way.

Remus

"Oh no problem...my pleasure.Caly said you guys needed help and since I was with her I tagged along...I got to kick Sebastian's butt and help out a pretty girl at the same time." I say smiling

*Maria*

Well, he's quite the charmer. Still theres something thats being held back. I'm definetely missing something.

"Well, Isabel is gorgeous." I add eying Michael and Alex.

He couldn't possibly know Alex kissed me. So why the tension?

I swallow the lump that has formed in my throat. I know why they are here and I am not afraid for my own life...I am afraid for Maria's...if it gets out of control she might be caught in the cross fire.
