TESS
"You could read at the beach, so you can join some volleyball or something similar when you are done with reading." Kyle responds.
"Hmm, that does sound like a good idea. Beach volleyball always looks like so much fun," I say, thinking it over. Hey, it sounds kosher to me. I'll go to the beach with Kyle anytime. Beach= no shirt, no shoes, lotsa skin hehe.
I take a sip of my root beer and munch on some of the chips and salsa in the middle of the table. Kyle decides to ask Michael if he's up for a trip to the beach tomorrow. Hey, as long as Michael doesn't get any ideas and try to kiss me in the surf too, I think everything will be alright.
I look over at Alex and Isabel, totally lost in their own private conversation. They're facing each other in their seats, their heads bent towards each other, talking in hushed but animated tones. Awww they look so comfortable together, I'm so happy for both of them. For Alex, that he has finally risen above his crush on her to the point where he can act normal around her; and for Isabel, that she has come down off her high horse on which she arrived, and is now enjoying Alex's companionship.
I continue my survey of the table. Max and Liz are trying to have a conversation, I think, but they keep getting interrupted by various members of Liz's family. As I watch them though I see them stealing furtive glances at each other while occupied listening to or speaking to someone else. Well there is definitely something going on there, no doubt about it. I can see it clearly now. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that yet, though. I suppose time will tell.
Maria and Michael are off in their own little world as well, but they're too far away for me to tell if they're having any sort of wonderful conversation or not. Or at least they were until Kyle grabbed Michael's attention to ask him about the beach.
