I give her a look...who does she think she is! He is my Aleeeex! And besides which, my mother promised me that we would be together....and what Alex didn't know was what my mother promises, my mother gets me.
I smile as I remember the deal my mother and his father had cut yesterday morning. His father agreed that if he didn't marry me, then he would disown him and there doing so, cut off his inheritance.
And without Alex's inheritance...he would be ruined.
"Maybe he won't have a choice" I said smirking as I turned on my heels leaving her to wonder what I meant.

Isabel

Stupid witch...I muttered before heading back inside
For some reason the look in her eyes had been unsettling

"She's such a pest" I said to Alex,flouncing down onto the bed

I watched as the children were given their gifts, admiring the way their faces lit up at the sight of each new toy. It was an inspiring thing to watch; most of these children were alone and sick, and yet they could lose themselves in the joy of simple objects so easily.

I turned to Max's grandmother. "What's it like, working with the children?" I asked. "It must be gratifying."

"I'd love to dance," I replied, and then shyly held his hand. "But what about those girls over there?" I asked, mocking a frown as I looked at the group of women glaring our way. "It looks like they'd be upset if we were to dance."

Kyle

"Oh who cares what they think...I have who I want right here with me." I said gruffly,not really used to being so affectionate with anyone

"You are looking ethereal tonight Tess" I whispered into her ear

I give her a small smile as she flops on the bed. "Yeah I know what you mean... I did have to put up with her for years....you only had one night of her!" I say.
"Do you see how you've saved me Isabel?" I ask with a grin.

Isabel

"Yeah...and pulled myself into something messy I bet" I replied warily "I did not like the smug look on her face when she laid her claim on you.It was as if she has some hidden trump card or something."

I sit up and look at her. "What do you mean Is? What look? What did she say after "He's old enough to know what he wants." She had lowered her voice so I didn't hear." I said concerned

"She said...Maybe he won't have a choice...now what do you think of that?" I asked looking at him worriedly

I gave Isabel a quizzical look. "She said that?" I said. "Wierd...no idea...probably grasping at straws as usual" I say shrugging my shoulders.

Isabel

"Well she seemed pretty cocky if you ask me...like she knows something the rest of us don't...I don't like it one bit."

I got up and started pacing,I hated being in the dark when it came to things which concerned me.
