I smile as Lily responds, "Sure lets go." Then she's grabbing my hand and leading me to the dance area. As the music blares, I can't help but think that this was an even better idea then I had originally expected it to be. The whiskey was capped and in my pocket where it would remain for a bit.

Erik and Amy headed over to a table but before Erik could get comfortable a pretty blonde walks up and asks him to dance. As Erik stood back up to except the girls offer he notices Oliver's car pull up and Laura step out of it.

"Be back in a sec," Erik says to Amy, "try not to get into too much trouble." Erik winks as he nods in the direction of Oliver.

Damn, blow me away. Lily was absolutely a temptation as she nodded, giving me permission to continue and I gently removed her shirt. What was revealed beneath was a black bra that contrasted her beautiful skin. I almost look mortified when Erik nods in the direction of Oliver and Laura. Does everyone know that I have a thing for Oliver?

But I can’t say that I’m not relieved to see Laura, aside from Lilly, Erik, and Sabrina I was afraid that I was not going to recognize anyone else here.

I’m sitting there contemplating going over to talk to the rest of them when I feel someone come up behind me.

“Hey Ma, you’re looking good tonight.” A boy that I don’t know but I’ve seen at school a couple of times comes and sits down next to me. His breath reeks of alcohol and his slurred speech indicates that he is obviously intoxicated.

“Excuse me.” I say as I try to ignore him.

“I’m not your baby, and take your hands off of me.” I say shrugging off his touch. I sure wouldn’t have come here if I knew I was going to be grouped by perfect strangers.

The guy doesn’t let go of me, he just squeezes my shoulders tighter.

“Come on, why don’t you and I go and find a spot more private?” He forces me to my feet and begins dragging me back towards behind where a makeshift stage has been set up for the performers.

I try to dig in my feet, but this only results in me braking the heal of these damn shoes that Lily made me ware tonight. I start to try and pull away from the guy but he has like at least a good hundred pounds on me, and I know there is no way that I am going to be able to strong arm him.

I start to scream for him to let go of me, but I can’t be heard over the loud music that blasting.

Now I’m getting scared. This guy doesn’t actually plan to rape me does he? My question is answered when the guy pulls me behind the stage and forces his gross alcohol tasting tongue down my throat.

I bite down on it and he lets out a scream and finally releases me. I sit up and try desperately to make a run for it, but I am stopped by the guys arm wrapping around my waist.

“No, I want you to take your hands off-” but before I can finish the guy has me down on the ground and he pounces on top of me. I hear the sound of splitting leather and I notice that my corset feels a lot less supportive. I close my eyes and reach out with my mind to anyone that can hear me.

I can't beleive this is happening its like something out of a dream. I had always been drawn to James Valenti even as far back as elementary school I noticed him. There was just something about him that attracted me to him, but for some reason I always thought he was off limits. I don't know if it was because even back then I knew I was different than other people.

I roll over in bed and look sleepily at the clock 12:05. I didn't hear the kids come in yet so I try and get out of bed without waking Isabel up. I open the door to Erik's bedroom and see he's not back yet. I go across the hall to Sabrina's bedroom and peak in. She's not back either. There curfew is midnight on the weekends but Sabrina had a gig tonight so I told her she could be later.

I don't know why I had the sudden urgency to check on my kids. Usually its Isabel that gets up and worrys until they come home. When we first brought Erik home from the hospital she hardly ever slept wanting to constantly check on him and it was the same with Sabrina. I crawl back in bed and Isabel snuggles up beside me. I kiss her on the head before drifting back to sleep.

I shifted in my sleep, feeling my husband beside me. My arms wrapped around him and I sighed. A part of me was awake yet another asleep and I was very tempted to let that part awake, guide me into a dreamwalk to see what was going on since I had never managed to get a hold of my brother. Max hadn't answered the phone and neither had Liz so I hadn't left a message either.

My plan was to go and see them in the morning, meanwhile I lifted my head slightly and opened my eyes a crack before looking at Alex who seemed so peaceful sleeping. Sighing again, I placed my head on his shoulder and simply closed my eyes. I didn't really need a great deal of sleep, I never had. But, I enjoyed laying beside Alex and just listening to his heart beating beneath my ear and feeling him at my side. I could make do easily with four hours of sleep a night, but I couldn't handle nights without my husband at my side.
