Chapter Ten

Max was about to drift off to sleep when he felt something on top of his bed. He blinked his eyes open when he saw the figure in front of him.

"Liz" he said softy as he sat up in his bed.

"It seems that I have a secret admirer." She said as she placed the white roses on the bed and moved closer to him.

"Do you have any idea who it is?" she whispered softly into his ear as she began to leave a trail of kisses down his neck.

"Liz" Max said breathlessly.

Liz then stopped and looked into his eyes.

"Let me help you remember." She whispered as she slowly lifted up her shirt exposing her half naked body.

Max felt his breathing get shallow as he looked at her. He was speechless.

"Liz what are you doing?" he managed to say as his voice came out in barely a whisper.

Liz moved closer towards him so that her chest was inches from his face as she whispered into his ear "I know you want me."

She then started kissing his ear as she felt his breathing become more ragged.

She then looked into his burning amber eyes.

"I know you have wanted me from the moment you first saw me." She purred as she batted her eyes innocently as her lips came closer to his as her breathing became shallow.

"Tell me how much you want me and I am yours." She said breathlessly.

"Liz" Max said breathlessly as he slowly inched closer to her his face was just inches away from her lips he could almost taste her.

"Beep beep beep" the sound of an alarm was head as Liz vanished into thin air as Max woke from his dream with a groan.

He shut off the annoying alarm and groaned in frustration. He was sweating and was pretty sure his sheets needed to be changed however all he could think about was how he was in desperate need of a shower especially after a dream like that.

He slowly was waking up out of his daze as he headed for the shower grateful that he had his own bathroom in his room so no one could see the state he was in.

Across the hall Liz was in the same state. She has woken up sweating and breathing hard as she recalled the events of the dream she just had. She decided that a shower was what she needed and made her way to the bathroom located in her room grateful no one could see how flushed her cheeks were.

After his much needed shower Max then made his way down stairs and into the kitchen where he saw Chris looking into the refrigerator for some juice.

"Morning Chris" Max said eyeing his brother.

Chris slammed the refrigerator door and grumbled hello.

"Wow some one is a little sexually frustrated this morning." Max said smirking.

"Don't start with me Maxwell!" Chris fumed.

"What you didn't get laid last night. I'm sorry Chris. I'm sure if you give Pam a call she will be more then willing to do the job for you." Max said as he poured his coffee.

"I don't want Pam Troy. You know who I want." Chris hissed as he made his way towards the front door and slammed it shut.

Max shrugged his shoulder and smiled as he started to remember the amazing dream he had.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn’t even see Liz walk into the room.

"Who are you dreaming about?" She said smiling.

Max nearly spilled his coffee on his shirt as he broke out of his daze when he saw it was Liz.

"Nothing." He said trying to regain his consciousness as his cheeks turned red.

"Well it must have been some dream." Liz said smirking as she grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down across from him.

It was killing Max seeing Liz across from him when all he wanted to do was to take her right then and there on the kitchen table. However he didn't want to view her as his brother did and treat her as a sexual object. If he was going to love her he was going to love her the right way.

"So how were your dreams last night?" Max said arching an eye brow as he turned the tables on to Liz.

Liz blushed and bit her lower lip. "Different." she said smiling as she took a sip of her coffee.

"Oh hi guys." Alex said as he entered the kitchen breaking the sexual tension between Max and Liz.

"Oh Hi Alex." Max said smiling.

"Hi Max. Wow you missed some party last night. It was rocking." Alex said as he poured himself a bowl of Apple Jacks.

"I bet it was." Max said laughing as Alex joined them at the table.

"So Liz you want to come sailing with me and Pacey today?" Alex said as he chomped on his cereal.

Liz looked at Max and then at Alex. "Sure that sounds really nice."

"Great Joey is coming by after work and we are going out to her B&B for lunch." Alex said smiling.

"Sounds great." Liz said smiling.

"Look speaking of work. I really have to get going." max said as he got up from the kitchen table.

"Oh really where do you work?" Liz said a little disappointed.

"Down by the pier. Jack and I help unload the lobster boats and we also help out at The Icebox. We have been doing it since high school so we know everyone and our boss is great." Max said smiling.

"Oh that’s sounds really nice. Too bad I am allergic to lobster or else I would take you up on a lobster dinner." Liz said slightly laughing.

"Wow that’s a shame about the lobster but we can still go out to dinner." Max said looking into her eyes.

"Ok" Liz said beaming.

"We can go after I get out of work. So how about 7?" Max asked as he looked at her.

"Sounds good to me. See you then. Bye." Max said as he waved good bye.

Liz turned around and saw Alex shacking his head. "Why are you shacking your head?" Liz asked concerned.

"Why you have become quite the Man-Eater Parker" Alex said looking at her.

Liz's jaw dropped. "What!" she said shocked.

"Wow first Chris now Max! Who is next Pacey?" Alex said laughing.

"NO. Besides Pacey has Joey. I would never!" Liz said surprised as she looked at Alex.

"Really? Oh her she comes watch out boy she'll chew you up. Oh here she comes she a man-eater" Alex started signing as he danced around Liz.

"Stop it Alex" Liz laughed.

"Liz all I am saying is just be careful ok." Alex said smiling.

"Don't worry sweet and innocent me what trouble could I cause." Liz said smiling as she left the kitchen.

"I won't if I were you. I know what she can do. She's deadly man she could really rip your world apart. Mind over matter the beauty is there but a beast is in the heart.

Oh here she comes watch out boy she'll chew you up. Oh here she comes she's a man eater. The woman is wild oh here she comes watch out boy watch out boy she a man eater." Alex sang as he placed his dish into the sink and danced in the kitchen

"Alex who are you singing to?" Isabel said as she saw him dancing.

He then froze "um no one" he said embarrassed.

"Right." Isabel said as she eyed the room.

"See you later Alex." Isabel said smiling as she slightly laughed.

"You know I wasn't saying that you were a man-eater." Alex yelled and shook his head. However in the distance he swore he could hear Isabel’s laughter echoing through out the house as Alex smiled.

Chapter Eleven

Chris drove down the highway frustrated as he looked at the road ahead of him. There was only one destination in his mind that he wanted to get to as he picked up speed.

Jen entered her bed room after finishing breakfast with her grams.

"Hey Jen you like to bounce because I am in need of some bouncing." Chris said as he sat sprawled out on her bed as he looked at her seductively.

"Sorry Chris I hate to burst your bubble but my bouncing days with you are over. That ended back in high school." Jen said looking at him as Chris groaned and lay down on her bed.

"Anyway how did you get in here?" Jen asked as she sat down on the bed.

"Your Grams let me in." Chris said sighing.

"Chris what’s wrong?" Jen asked looking at her distressed friend.

"Um well it's Liz. I don't get it she didn't want to sleep with me!" Chris said in shock.

"Wow so the Wolf finally gets his first rejection?" Jen said raising an eye brow.

"No it's not like that I have gotten rejected before but I don't know why it's eating at me so much." Chris said as he looked at Jen.

"Maybe it's because for the first time in your life you could actually be in love?" Jen said looking deep into his eyes.

"No Jen I am not in love." Chris said as he shook his head.

"Chris you are dealing with the relationship expert here. I hate to say it but you are a classic case for cupid’s arrow." Jen said laughing.

"Fine I am in love or what ever you call it. So what do I do?" Chris said rolling his eyes.

"Well first, if you think that a girl is going to sleep with you after knowing her for less then a week, you’re wrong. Woman like to feel that they are special and respected hence why Liz did not sleep with you last night." Jen said.

"Ok so what do I do to get it where she will sleep with me?" Chris said as he sat up in the bed.

"Whoa are you always ruled by your head and by head I mean the one between your legs not your neck!" Jen groaned as she rolled her eyes.

"Ok I am sorry. Go on." Chris said encouraging her to continue.

"Look if you want this to work you have to put Liz first. Get to know her find out what she likes books, movies, hobbies, her family...stuff like that. The more you find out about her, the better it helps the relationship it makes it look like you are interested in her and care about her." Jen said as she got a paper and pen.

"Wait I have to take notes!" Chris said looking at Jen in shock.

"You'll thank me later. Now write." Jen said handing Chris the pen and paper.

"Ok another thing the way you act has to change."

"What? I act just fine!" Chris said confused.

"I mean how you act socially. You can't keep going out to party after part night after night get drunk and expect Liz to just be willing to fall into your arms. That’s not a way to get to know a person if you are both too out of it to even remember what you said or did the night before. So ease up on the partying for a while. Got that?" Jen asked as Chris wrote.

"Yeah show interest, respect, gets to know her, ease up on partying..." Chris said as he read the list off.

"Ok good I think that’s a good start. Chris I know you can do this. You just needed a little guidance that’s all. Just take things slow. I have faith in you." Jen said smiling.

"Thanks Jen-a-luscious." Chris said as he kissed her forehead.

"Anytime. Now do you want go and run some laps around the track? I think the excise will help you." Jen said as she got up off the bed.

"I know another form of exercise we could do." Chris said grinning.

Jen then gave him a death stair. "I'm kidding. Yeah running laps will be great." Chris said laughing.

“I swear your going to be the death of me!" Jen said as he hit Chris on the arm.

"I promise I will be good." Chris said looking up at Jen with puppy dog eyes.

"Right you’re a real saint. Come on lover boy lets go." Jen said smiling as she grabbed her track bag.

True Love was sailing high as Pacey, Alex, and Liz moved along the ocean.

Jazz music was head from the cabin as the group enjoyed the warm summer day.

"Pacey put me down!" Liz cried as Pacey gave her a piggyback ride down the steps of his boat. "Oh come on Parker I know you enjoyed the ride." Pacey said laughing as he placed Liz safely on the ground.

"Aw I think I am never going to get my sea legs if you keep on picking me up like that!" Liz said laughing.

"No I will make a sailor out of you yet Parker." Pacey said as he went over to Alex who was fishing.

"I don't get it I am not getting anything. Come on just a bite just one little bite is all I ask." Alex whined as he looked at the mercy water.

"Give them time. They will come around." Pacey said casting his line.

"So Pacey how did you get the name true love for your boat?" Liz said as she bated her line.

"Aw well it is a saying true love. But to me it meant more then a saying. I named it after Joey my one and only true love. I was in love with her for as long as I can remember however we despised each other for years but as they say it's always the one's you hate that you love eventually she came around and well the rest is history.

We even sailed all over one summer together on this boat. I always wanted to do that sail around the world with my true love and well I am happy to say I got my wish." Pacey said smiling dreamily.

"Wow that’s so romantic." Liz sighed.

"Wow what an amazing story. You think I will find true love?" Alex sighed.

"I know so, even you Liz. I never thought it would happen but it did so yes true love is possible." Pacey said smiling.

"Oh I got a bite!" Alex cried in delight.

"Wheel him in!" Pacey said excited.

Alex wheeled the line as the fish came up. "Wow you caught that one hook line a sinker." Pacey said smiling as Alex looked at the fish with pride.

They then went and got it off the line and placed it into the cooler.

"Looks like we will be eating like kings tonight!" Alex said with pride as he looked at his prize.

"How many have we caught?" Liz asked as she looked at the bin.

"I think about 5. That should be enough." Pacey said as he closed up the cooler.

They then put the fishing stuff away and then relaxed out on the boat enjoying the warm rays.

"So Pacey speaking of true love what about Isabel?" Alex said smiling.

"Right well the only way to a woman’s heart is romance. You know be thoughtful. Respect her and be caring. Relationships are work but the rewards are so much greater. You have to adore the person and always put them first." Pacey said smiling.

"Ok for Isabel I would start out with something small maybe a flower with a note." Pacey said as Alex beamed.

"I can do that." Alex said excited.

"Ok but the flower is the most important thing. It can make or break a relationship." Pacey said looking at Alex.

"Ok so what do you suggest?" Alex asked concerned.

"Well how about roses. Pacey said smiling.

Everyone loves roses." Liz sighed.

"What color?" Pacey said looking at Alex.

"I don't no." Alex said shrugging his shoulders.

"No, this is not going to work. Forget the color for a minute. What did you feel the minute you saw her." Pacey said shacking his head and then placed his hand on Alex shoulder.

"Love at first sight. I felt enchantment. She is so unique." Alex sighed.

Pacey shook his head.

"Purple. Go with purple." Pacey said smiling.

"OK but why purple?" Alex said intrigued.

"The purple rose also known as blue rose’s symboliz love at first sight, enchantment, and uniqueness. Your in luck, because purple just so happens to be Isabel’s favorite color as well." Pacey said as Alex's eyes lit up.

"Thanks. Pacey." Alex said beaming.

"How come you know so much about flowers and their meanings?" Liz asked fascinated.

"Well Andy's mom is big into gardening and flowers so when Andy and I were going out I picked up a few tips of information here and there.

Let me tell you I learned my lesson. I once gave her Lady Slipper which means win me and wear me. That went over like a bomb shell. I learned rather quickly after that not to make the same mistake again." Pacey said as everyone laughed.

"Do you know what white roses mean?" Liz asked smiling.

"Well traditionally they are associated with purity, virginity, and innocence, and humility. However there is another meaning to them which people miss. They are a sign of unity. But above all the symbolize spiritual love and true love." Pacey said as he checked his sails on his boat.

"Why do you ask?" He said looking at Liz.

"Oh no reason." Liz said shacking her head as she slightly smiled.

"Maybe I should get white roses? After all they do represent spiritual love and true love." Alex cried.

"No purple. Trust me." Pacey said smiling as he went behind the wheel of his boat.

"We should get going back to shore. Jo will be wondering where we have been." Pacey said as he drove the boat.

"Sounds great!" Alex said as he helped Pacey drive True Love leaving Liz to her thoughts as she looked on to the open water.

A/N: The symbols behind the roses are what they mean in real life. I did a little research.

Chapter Twelve

Alex, Pacey, Joey, and Liz enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Potter B&B as the sun was starting to make its way into midday.

"So did Dawson tell you anything about the script he is working on?" Joey asked as she lay in the lounge chair outside.

"No he is keeping this one under lock and key. It should be a good one." Pacey said smiling as he drank more of his ice tea.

"Sounds mysterious." Liz said curious. "I have always enjoyed reading a good story." She said smiling.

"Well you’re in luck. Dawson has the flair for writing a great story. Remember when he did a rip off of Blair Witch and we went to Witch Island for film class. The film came out so much better then Blair Witch. His story was actually creepy. The footage we got was amazing! We got this image of what looked like two ghosts who tired in with the legend. It was so weird" Joey beamed.

"That’s so cool." Alex cried on the edge of his seat.

"Yeah with Dawson as director there is never a dull moment." Pacey said as he and Joey laughed.

"Look I am going to get and get the home made apple pie that I made today. I will be right back." Joey said as she got up from her chair and went into her house.

"Wait Joey let me help you." Alex said smiling as he got up and followed her.

Pacey and Liz were left alone as a cool summer breeze whipped past them as they enjoyed the view of the creek.

"Um Pacey thank you for the flowers." Liz said as she bit her lower lip.

"Flowers? What are you talking about?" Pacey said taken aback by Liz's confession.

"The white roses that were left in my bed room with the notes. Look I am flattered and all... but... um you are with Joey." Liz hesitated as she tried to explain.

"Liz I might have left plenty of roses to girls in my lifetime but I can assure you it wasn't me who left you the roses or notes." Pacey said as he looked at Liz.

"Oh so it wasn't you. Wow I am so sorry this is so embarrassing. I just assumed it was you being you were taken aback by my beauty and knew so much about flowers and the advice you gave to Alex about leaving flowers and notes that I just assumed. I am so sorry." Liz said apologizing.

"No problem. You have nothing to be sorry for so don't worry about it. So tell me who has been leaving you white roses?" Pacey said intrigued.

"Well that’s just it. I have no idea. For the past two nights I have received a white rose with a note attracted to it." Liz said as he eyes grew wide.

"What do the notes say? If you don’t mind me asking?" Pacey said curious.

"The first one said Sweet Dreams and the other one said Dream of ME. I don't know what to make of it." Liz said blushing as she shook her head.

"Well it sounds to me like you have a secret admirer. Any clue who it is being I am now out of the running." Pacey said smiling.

Liz laughed as she shook her head. "No I have no idea." Liz said blushing.

"Your sure?" Pacey said eyeing Liz.

"Yes" Liz said looking at Pacey. The last thing she wanted to tell him was about her strange dreams after the embarrassing mistake she made thinking it was Pacey giving her the roses.

"Well let’s see out of The Creekers um Jack is gay, It’s not me I'm taken... It could be Dawson?" Pacey said as he raised his eye brow and looked at her.

"Dawson no!" Liz said rolling her eyes.

"Well it's not Alex the ice princess got to him. So I think Chris or Dawson is your best bet." Pacey said as he nodded his head.

"Well I will see. Thanks Pacey for your help. I will solve this mystery."

"Solving what mystery?" Joey said as she and Alex entered carrying a tray with pie.

"The mystery of Dawson’s script." Pacey said as he winked at Liz as she smiled.

"Well you are going to need Sherlock Homes or a CIA spy for that one." Joey said laughing as she placed the tray down.

"Well dessert is ready eat up." Alex beamed as the group ate the homemade pie.

"Max where are you going?" Isabel asked as she saw her brother buttoning up his dark blue collared shirt.

"Out to dinner." Max said as he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

"Out to dinner with whom?" Isabel said surprised.

"Liz" Max said as he finished buttoning the last button and turned to face her.

"What! Liz you know she is with Chris!" Isabel said in shock.

"Isabel we are just friends. Relax." Max said shrugging his shoulders.

"Just friends, right ok fine. Sure Max just go and take everything from Chris like you haven't already." Isabel hissed.

"Isabel drop it!" Max said looking at her deep in the eyes.

"Oh like how you destroyed this family." Isabel cried.

"I mean it Isabel!" Max said in a low voice.

"Ok fine have it your way! You always seem to do. Enjoy your time with Liz!" Isabel spat as she barged out of the room.

Chapter Thirteen

Liz entered the hallway laughing as her and Alex made their way into the kitchen. "Well some one is in a good mood!" Maria said smiling.

"Did you guys have fun on Pacey's boat?" Maria said as she poured herself a glass of water.

"Yes it was great. Maria we are going to the movie's tonight One Flew Over the Cook Cook's Nest is playing at the old movie theater if you and Liz want to come." Alex said smiling.

"Sounds great. I could use a night of relaxing. What do you say Liz?" Maria said looking at her friend.

"Oh um sorry Maria I have a date. Well more like a dinner." Liz said smiling.

"Wow aren't you the little Miss Social Butterfly! You so have to give me all the details tomorrow!" Maria squealed with delight.

"Ok." Liz said rolling her eyes. Alex then started mumbling "Oh here she comes she a man eater."

"Stop is Alex!" Liz said as she hit him on the shoulder.

Alex laughed and then started to stair as Isabel walked into the kitchen.

Hi...Hi Isabel" Alex said all of the sudden out of breath.

"Hey Alex. Your coming to the movies tonight right?" Isabel said smiling.

"Of course. I won't miss it for the world." Alex said glowing.

"Ok good. We are leaving at 7. I have to go and get ready. I will see you then." Isabel said smiling as she left the room.

Alex sighed in amazement. "Tell me I am dreaming. This is a dream right?" He said hitting Liz's arm.

"No Alex you are not dreaming." Liz said as she shook her head.

"Whoa slow down there Lover boy. I mean I know you have a crush on Isabel and all but the way you follow her around is like a puppy in heat. Take it easy Alex. OK!" Maria said laughing.

"Alright but let me tell you no woman can resist the Whitman charms." Alex said smiling.

"Oh look at the time. It's almost 6 better hurry up and get ready if we are going to make it in time." Maria said checking her watch.

"See you later. Have fun tonight Liz." Alex said as he watched the two of them head up stairs.

It was seven when Alex, Isabel, and Maria entered the downstairs hallway.

"Oh Hi Dawson." Isabel said smiling.

"Hey I can only take one in my car. I already have Jen, Andy, and Jack in my car." Dawson said as he looked at the group.

"Ok I will go. I want to catch up with Jen on the latest gossip anyway." Maria said as she and Dawson made their way to the driveway.

"So I guess it's just the two of us." Alex said smiling.

"I guess but don't get any ideas about us Whitman. I am just giving you a ride that’s all." Isabel said as she opened up her purse and got her keys out.

"Ok sure Isabel what ever you say." Alex said nodding his head as he followed her to the car.

Max stood in the hallway by the huge center stair case as he waited for Liz. He didn't have to wait long when he saw her descending the steps.

The sight of her took his breath away as he stared at her with his burring amber eyes as she came closer into view.

She was wearing a strapless beige top that complemented her tan skin and matching short skirt with strappy sandals. In her hand she held a black cardigan and wooden bag. Her hair was down and flowing as her long locks caressed her face. She looked stunning.

"Wow you look...amazing!" Max said blinking his eyes at the sight in front of him.

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." Liz said as she slightly blushed as she eyed Max in his dark blue collared button down shirt and khakis.

There were a few moments of award silence until Liz looked at her cardigan.

"Oh I um brought this with me just incase it got cold but I don't think I am going to need it." She said smiling as she placed the sweater on the chair.

"Yeah it's a pretty warm night so you should be all set." Max said smiling as he quickly glanced up and down at her.

"See something you like?" Liz said eyeing him.

"Only you. We better go." Max said blushing. As he and Liz made their way towards his Jeep and hopped in.

The radio was playing the song ‘Hysteria’ by Def Leppard as Max turned the car on.

"Out of touch, out of reach, yeah

"Oh my god! Not this song!" Liz said laughing as she fastened her seatbelt.

"Why? What’s so bad about this song?" Max said as he starting pulling out of the drive way and headed down the road.

"Oh no it's a great song. It's just that one time Alex sang this with his band The Whits back in high school and I always will have the image of him up there on stage dancing and singing this song to Maria and I at our school talent show.

He out of no where drags us up on stage and startes singing this to us. At one point he got down on his knees in front of us and was belting out the chours. Maria and I were dying. The school was going nuts." Liz said laughing.

"Wow that must have been pretty funny." Max said as he glanced at her then back to the road.

"Yeah it was. We have pictures of it and we even have it on tape. Too bad I can't show it to you. It is pretty funny." Liz said smiling.

"With Alex I am sure there was never a dull moment. He seems like a really cool guy." Max said as he turned up the air condition.

"Oh he is. I have known Alex forever. We grew up together and he is an amazing friend with a heart of gold. He is the type of friend that will be there for you no matter what." Liz said as she beamed with pride.

"That’s great that you have a friend like that. Michael is like that for me. I have known the guy forever. We practically are family I call him my brother. He is so different from me but an amazing guy." Max said smiling.

"Well he seemed really nice. I had a great time meeting your friends. They are all really nice." Liz said as she looked at Max.

Oh, I get hysterical, hysteria

Chapter Fourteen

Isabel and Alex drove down the sunset road towards the movie theater as music blasted from Isabel’s car.

The song 'Boys' by Britney Spears was blasting from the radio as Isabel moved to the music.

Alex then reached over and changed the station.

"Hey I was listening to that!" Isabel cried as Alex flipped through the stations.

"Sorry as much as I like Britney there is no way I can listen to that song anymore" Alex said as he finally found a station that came in clear.

"Oh my god I love this song!" Alex cried as the song 'Louie Louie' by The Kingsman came on.

"You can't be serious. Every time I hear this song I think of that Frat movie Animal House" Isabel said in shock as she watched Alex start to sing along with the song.

Isabel went to change the station as Alex grabbed her arm. "Don't you dare Isabel! This is a classic." Alex said firmly.

"Alex remember this is my car! I can listen to what I want!" Isabel yelled.

"Sorry not this time Princess" Alex said as he started swaying to the music as he bobbed his head and started singing again.

"Princess! Why you ungrateful brat! Ok fine have it your way Whitman!" Isabel cried as she rolled her eyes in frustration.

Alex sang as he broke out into air guitar. "I can't believe this" Isabel said as she slammed her hand against the wheel.

"Isabel this is classic 60's come on. Feel the music." Alex said as he swayed in the car.

Alex sang as he looked at Isabel. "That’s it Whitman I am warning you if you don't stop it I am throwing you out of this car I swear to god!" Isabel cried as she clutched the steering wheel.

"Oh you love it Isabel." Alex smirked as he sang louder.

I said we got to go now, let’s go on out of here, let’s go"

Isabel swerved the car to the side of the road. "You can walk the rest of the way. The theater is just up the block!" Isabel said as she reached over Alex and opened up the door.

"Wow eager aren't we." Alex said wiggling his eyebrows.

"OUT ALEX NOW!" Isabel cried as Alex got out of the car.

"See you later Isabel" Alex laughed as he slammed the car door and watched Isabel speed away.

Across town Max and Liz sat at the ocean view resultant. "Wow this place is amazing!" Liz said as she looked at the night club jazz atmosphere as piano music played.

"Thanks I am glad you like it. I used to come here all the time with Tess and Kyle, Dawson and Joey over the summer. They have awesome jazz bands that come and play here." Max said as he looked at Liz.

There were a few moments of awaked silence as they both took a sip from their glasses of red wine.

"Wow this is so awkward. I mean not being here with you. Just I feel awkward sometimes in social situations." Liz said as she bit her lower lip.

"Yeah I know what you mean. I get the same way. I think its nerves or something. Maybe together we can help each other get through it." Max said as he scratched behind his ear shyly.

"Ok." Liz said as she breathed a sigh of relief.

"So how was work?" Liz said trying to make conversation.

"Oh it was long. We must have had like 5 fishing boats come in. So all day Jack and I had to unload the boats. Thank god for Jack that kid is a riot we were laughing the whole time so he made the day go by fast. How was Pacey's boat?" Max asked as he looked at Liz.

"Oh it was so much fun. We sailed all around the creek and enjoyed the summer rays. We also did a little fishing as well. We caught a good amount. I think tonight Pacey is making a fish dinner for everyone." Liz said as she took a dip from her drink.

"Yeah too bad we are missing it. Pacey is an amazing cook. He used to work in a restaurant in Boston as a chef for a while and I think he told me once that he wants to open up his own place someday." Max said smiling.

"Really that's amazing. He really should. I could so see him owning a restaurant on the cape. Oh and don't worry I am sure there will be plenty of other times to have dinner with Pacey. I'm just glad to be with you tonight." Liz said smiling.

"Really?" Max asked as he looked up at her.

"Yes it was really sweet of you to take me out. Everyone so far has been so nice to me." Liz said smiling.

"Right well it was the least I could do." Max said as he felt his heart twinge a little in response to Liz's comment of everyone being really nice to her. Max was just another person in the group taking her out. However he was going to hopefully change her mind by the end of the night. God willing.

"Hey guy's we saved the middle row for you." Andy said to Isabel as her and Maria brought pop corn.

"Oh thanks." Isabel said smiling.

"Where is Alex? Izz?" Maria said as she saw him missing in action.

"Oh he should be here soon." Isabel said smirking remembering how she threw Alex out of her car.

"Well we better get going." Andy said as they made there way into the dimly light theater.

"Hey guys." Pacey and Joey waved as everyone made their way down the aisle.

"Oh hey. Chris what are you doing here? Don't you have a dinner date with Liz?" Maria said in shock.

"Maria what are you talking about?" Chris said surprised.

"Well she mentioned something about going out to dinner and I thought it was with you." Maria said confused.

"Oh really!" Chris said surprised.

"Yeah well she is out to dinner with someone. I just thought you would want to know incase you were looking for her." Maria said as she sat down in her seat.

"Thanks Deluca. I owe you one." Chris said looking at her as he sat down next to her.

"No problem that's what I am here for." Maria said as she smiled at him.

Isabel sat down in her seat and sighed. "Finally a night of peace and quite." She said as she watched the opening credits.

"Hey Isabel." a voice whispered next to her.

"Alex what are you doing? Sit somewhere else." Isabel said as she saw Alex sitting next her as he open up a box of candy.

"This was the only seat left. Junior Mint?" Alex said as he looked at her and held out the box in front of her offering her some.

"No. I don't want any!" Isabel cried as Alex shrugged his shoulders and went back to eating his candy.

"Shh" The people behind them said.

"Great this is just lovely!" Isabel mumbled.

"Oh I knew you missed me." Alex whispered.

"Yeah right! In your dreams Whitman!" Isabel cried in a low voice.

"Please be quite!" the woman behind them said.

"Sorry" Isabel and Alex said together as Isabel sighed in embarrassment and frustration, as her and Alex watched the movie.

Max and Liz talked no stop as the evening wore on. They had finished dinner and were enjoying a dessert that was full of chocolate cake and strawberries.

"This is so good." Liz sighed as she took another bite of her dessert.

"Yeah tell me about it. Do you want the rest of my strawberries?" Max said as he saw all of Liz's were gone.

"Yes they are my favorite." Liz smiled. Max then out of know where fed her the strawberries on his fork.

"Thanks." Liz said smiling.

"Wow I can't believe I just did that. Sorry." Max said blushing.

"Don't be. It was nice." Liz said as she saw Max's face light up into a huge smile.

They then sat there in silence as they watched the couples dance on the dance floor as Frank Sinatra’s 'Summer Wind' played.

"The summer wind, came blowin' in from across the sea
It lingered there to touch your hair and walk with me"

"Um do you want to dance?" Max asked as he looked at Liz.

"Sure" Liz said taking Max's hand for the first time. They both looked at each other as they felt each others touch and blinked their eyes.

Max then lead Liz to the dance floor.

Max was sure he had died and had gone to heaven as he held Liz close as he breathed in her sent of vanilla and Strawberries as they swayed to the music.

The world was new beneath a blue umbrella sky

Liz smiled up at him he had the most amazing eyes she had every seen before. They sparkled like gold and she felt like she could get lost in their liquid ambers for eternity.

Max then reached up and placed a stay piece of hair behind her ear as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"Sorry you had um a hair thing." He said breathlessly into her ear sending shivers down her spin. Max reacted when he felt her shiver and pulled her closer.

"Um thanks." Liz said breathlessly as she smiled up at him feeling her cheeks turn red.

"The autumn wind and the winter winds, they have come and gone"

Max then smiled and spun her around. He then pulled her closer to him and they laughed.

And still the days, those lonely days, they go on and on

Liz then started to thread her fingers through the back of Max's hair as she rubbed the nap of his neck and Max was sure he was going to lose it right then and there as he closed his eyes and sighed.

When Max finally opened his eyes he was shocked at the sight he saw. He saw Liz under the crook of his neck with her eyes closed as she held him close.

They stayed like that swaying back and forth and holding each other close as the music played on. It was at that moment that Max knew his heart would forever belong to Liz Parker.

"If only she knew" he thought as he sighed as they danced into the night.

Chapter Fifteen

The group made there way out of the theater full of smiles and laughing about the movie.

"Well look who showed up. I didn't think they let psychos out at night." Isabel said as she spotted a group of three heading her way.

"Really, because I was going to say the same thing about you." Michael said smirking as Isabel gave him a death stare.

"If you must know we came here to catch the 12 o'clock showing of attack of the eye creatures." Michael said as he paid for his ticket.

"Typical." Isabel sighed.

"What I thought you would be staring in the movie Izz you have that alien thing going for you." Michael said as Kyle and Tess tried not to laugh.

"Really because from the looks of it I think the mother ship just called saying they are missing one of there own." Isabel spat.

"Wait you said Attack of the Eye Creatures?" Alex chimed in.

"Yeah." Kyle said looking at him.

"Oh man that's a classic. Mind if I join you guys?" Alex said as his eyes lit up with excitment.

"Not at all. The more the merrier." Michael said smiling.

"Alex you can't be serious!" Maria said in shock. Alex just shrugged his shoulder and said "What" as he smiled.

"Oh great I'm surrounded by the geek squad!" Isabel cried.

"You know they say that geeks do attract the most beautiful woman." Alex said smiling.

"Whatever let's go Maria" Isabel said flustered.

"This is classic." Jack whispered to Jen as she laughed as they observed the scene in front of them.

"Enjoy the movie see you guys later." Andy beamed as her, Jack, and Jen made their way to the car.

"See ya" Tess said smiling as she held Kyle close.

"Nice to see you again Blondie." Michael said smiling at Maria.

"Look I have a name and its Maria so you better get used to saying it!" Maria cried as her and Isabel made there way to her car.

"Whatever you say Maria. Have a nice night." Michael waved as he watched Maria slam the car door and drive off into the night.

Max and Liz made their way into the dark house. It was already past 12 when they arrived home and everyone was asleep. They made their way up the stairs and down the hallway.

The stopped once they reached Liz's room. "Thank you Max for a wonderful night. I had a great time." Liz said softly as she smiled.

"Thanks I did as well." Max said as he leaned in closer to her, her lips only an inch away.

"Um I really should go." Liz said as she pulled back slightly and smiled up at him.

Max shook his head slightly. "Good night Liz. Sweet dreams" he whispered.

"Good night Max" Liz said as she quickly kissed him on the cheek and smiled before she closed her door.

Liz entered her room and found another white rose on her pillow. She smiled and quickly opened up the card. It read.

See you in my Dreams .

Isabel couldn't sleep as she walked through the hallways. She stopped when she saw a light on in the back office.

"What’s my favorite brother doing up at this hour?" Isabel said as she entered the room. Chris was sitting in the huge leather chair with a bottle of open wine and a glass in his hand.

"Care for a drink?" he sighed.

"Sure why not." Isabel said as she grabbed the bottle from him and got a glass from the bar and poured herself a drink. She then handed the bottle back to Chris and sat down on the leather couch across from him.

"What’s wrong?" She said as she sipped her drink.

"It's Liz. I can't stop thinking about her." Chris sighed as he leaned back in the chair.

"Wow I've never seen you like this. This girl has really gotten to you." Isabel said eyeing her brother.

"What can I say I'm infatuated with her." Chris sighed hopelessly.

"Well you’re not the only one who is." Isabel said as she took a sip of her wine.

"What?" Chris said looking at her.

"Oh come on Chris. We both know that Max has fallen for her. It's pathetic how obvious it is." Isabel said as she rolled her eyes and smiled.

"Yeah I know. But you see Isabel I have never wanted any girl more then I want Liz Parker." Chris said as he poured some more wine into his glass.

"I know. But what if I told you that our brothers little crush is more then just some pretty girl from Harvard." Isabel said arching an eyebrow as she leaned back into the couch.

"What do you mean?" Chris said intrigued.

"Well I was talking to Drue Valentine today and it turns out that our little Miss Parker just happens to be the daughter of Jeffery Parker." Isabel said as she drank her wine.

"Wait you mean Jeff Parker air to the Crash 47 Hotel? As in the Parker who owns one of the hottest casino's in Sante Fa?"

"That's right little brother." Isabel said as she drank more of the sweet liquid.

"My, it seems that my sister has been doing her homework." Chris said smiling.

"Always send a woman to do a man’s job." Isabel said smiling.

"But Isabel what does this have to do with Max?" Chris said looking at her.

"Chris don't you see this is your chance to prove to Mommy and Daddy that you can be responsible. If you say that you are dating The Miss Parker why they will be beside themselves and for the first time you will be in good favor with them." Isabel said smiling.

"So what are you saying?" Chris said looking up at his sister.

"What I am saying is do what ever you can to make Liz yours. Open her up to your world of wealth, charm, and what ever else it is that you do." Isabel said as she got up and leaned over the desk.

"And once I have her?" Chris said looking at Isabel.

"You have the family fortion back in your name. Thus getting the revenge we have been planning for years against our brother from the first day we found out he would be the air to the Evans estate instead of you.

Oh don't you see Chris Liz Parker is our key. The key we finally have been waiting for. When Max finds out that Liz is madly in love with you it will destroy him. Thus causing him to go into hysterics.

There is no way that our parents will leave the fortion to him. They will see it was a mistake saying that Max can't function and handle the pressures and responsibility that come with the fortion.

And so they will put the fortion back into your name. Thus giving you the rights back, that were stolen from you so long ago." Isabel said as she poured herself another glass of wine.

Chris smirked and laughed "You know Izz this is probably the craziest most insane plan you have ever seamed up. But as crazy as it sounds, you can count me in.

For years I have always wanted to get back at our golden eye brother. And if Liz Parker is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow how can I refuse. You have yourself a deal." Chris said smiling.

"Aw revenge is sweet." Isabel said as her and Chris clinked glasses and drank to their plan.

Chapter Sixteen

Liz was in the middle of enjoying the most erotic and sensual dream of her life until she gasped and woke up in shock as she heard a knock at her door.

"Um come in" She said breathlessly as she tried to calm down.

The door swung open as a bouncy blond walked in and closed the door.

"Oh Maria! You startled me." Liz said shacking her head as she blushed.

"Well sleeping beauty is finally up!" Maria said as she hoped on to Liz's bed.

"What time is it anyway?" Liz said rubbing her eyes.

"It's 6. I wanted to watch the sunrise with my best friend." Maria said smiling.

"OK let me get dressed and I will meet you downstairs." Liz said sleepily as she got out of her warm bed.

With in a half and hour Liz was dressed and was heading down the highway in Maria's red jetta.

They drove in the dark of the night until they reached the ocean. Maria then parked the car and took out a blanket. She and Liz then went down by the shore line and placed the blanket on the cold sand.

They then took off their shoes and sat down.

"I am sorry Liz I feel like I have been neglecting you. I guess I got caught up with Isabel and her friends." Maria said looking at Liz.

"Maria if it makes you feel any better I feel like I have been neglecting you. Cape side has defiantly been some interesting trip so far." Liz said smiling.

"So who did you really go out to dinner with last night?" Maria said looking at her.

Liz smiled and slightly laughed "Um I went out to dinner with Max. He was nice enough to take me out." Liz said as she watched the golden purple rays peek through the darken sky.

"Max wow I never would of guessed. He seems so guarded and shy." Maria said surprised.

"Isabel rarely talks about him. I have no idea why. But he does have that mysterious thing going for him. I'll give him credit for that. It's kind of sexy." Maria said shrugging her shoulders.

"Well he is a really sweet guy once you get to know him." Liz said smiling.

Maria then looked at her. "What?" Liz said looking at Maria as if she had three heads.

"Your glowing." Maria said in shock.

"I am not Maria that's so your imagination." Liz said rolling her eyes as she felt her cheeks turn red.

"Fine I know that look. You better watch it Liz. You know Chris was asking where you were last night." Maria said as she rested leaned back on the blanket using her arms for support.

"He was?" Liz said in a guilty voice as she made circles in the sand.

"Yeah when we were at the movies I was shocked to see him there. Sorry I just assumed it was him you were going out to dinner with." Maria said looking at Liz.

"Oh I feel terrible." Liz said as her eyes grew wide with remorse.

"Look Liz Chris really likes you." Maria said as she looked out at the rising sun.

"I know." Liz said smiling as she watched the wave’s crash on the shore.

"You should have seen the look on his face last night when I told him you weren't there it was so cute Liz!" Maria beamed.

Liz blushed. "Yeah I mean like him but I hardly know him. So I think we should slow down. I mean everything is happening so fast with Chris, I need some time to see were the relationship will take me." Liz said smiling.

"That sounds like a good idea. Knowing you Liz you have always been the practical one. I guess it's the scientist in you." Maria laughed.

"Well you know me always have a plan. You have to have a plan." Liz said laughing.

"Well at least you have a man. I on the other hand am a walking target for that monster Michael Guerin. I swear that boy is a mimeos to society! Did I tell you that I ran into him last night?" Maria said shocked.

"No" Liz said laughing.

"Oh do I have a story for you!" Maria said as she began her story of running into everyone at the theater as the sun shinned its golden light.

Alex knocked on Isabel's door. "Come in" She called as he entered.

"Oh Alex. Sorry I didn't see you there what do you want?" Isabel said as she finished putting her hair up into a pony tail.

"Look Isabel I feel like we got off on the wrong foot last night. I thought maybe we could start over." Alex said shrugging his shoulders.

"Um look this is for you. You don't have to open up the card. I just wanted to say how sorry I am about last night." Alex said as he placed a purple rose and card on Isabel’s bed.

"Alex" Isabel sighed.

"Look I want to make it up to you. What are you doing tonight?" Alex said shyly as he scratched his arm nervously.

"Actually I am just leaving to go out on a date with Todd." Isabel said as she grabbed her purse.

"Oh right sure. Well have fun." Alex said softly and slightly smiled as he watched Isabel getting ready to leave her room.

"Your sweet Alex. Bye." Isabel smiled as she walked down the hallway.

"Bye Isabel." Alex waved as he watched Isabel leave.

For the rest of the morning Maria and Liz enjoyed each other's company and went out to breakfast at one of the local diners in town. When they arrived home it was already 12.

"Look I am going to find Alex and see what he's up to." Maria said as she went outside and headed for the pool.

Liz spotted Chris walking out to the patio. "Hey Chris. Can we talk?" Liz said as Chris can up to her and gave her a kiss.

"Sure. We can go into the pool house." Chris said as he grabbed her hand.

Once they were inside the pool house. Chris started kissing her.

"Chris can we talk." Liz said pulling away as she sat down on a nearby couch.

"What’s wrong?" Chris said as he sat next to her.

"Us. Look Chris you are an amazing guy. But I just meet you and I think that everything is happening too fast between us." Liz sighed as she looked up into his stunning eyes.

"Look we both like each other but I was wondering if maybe we could take things slow?" Liz sighed as she looked at him.

"Liz I know how new this is you. It's all new to me as well.

But we can take it slow. I am up for taking it slow if you are." Chris said as the words of Jen's advice came back to him.

"Look if you want this to work you have to put Liz first. Get to know her" as Chris looked into Liz's eyes.

"Really?" Liz said as her eyes lit up.

"Really. I want to get to know you Parker." Chris said as he held her hand.

"Me too Chris." Liz said smiling.

"So does that mean I can still kiss you?" Chris said looking up at her with puppy dog eyes.

"Um let's just start with getting to know each other and I will let you know when you can kiss me again." Liz said as she bit her lower lip.

"Deal." Chris said as he kissed Liz on the forehead as she smiled.

Chapter Seventeen

Max entered into the huge house and made his way towards the lit pool. He had spent most of the day with Michael taking about his amazing date with Liz and he was more then eager to see her.

He was almost to the back yard when he was encounter by a familiar voice.

"So you and Liz have fun last night at dinner?" Chris hissed as he glared at Max.

"Nice to see you too Chris." Max said looking at him.

"Don't give me the friendly hello act ok. Look Maxwell I don't know what you told Liz but back off." Chris spat as he came closer to his brother.

"What are you talking about?" Max said looking at his twin surprised.

"About Liz wanting to take things slow with me. She told me today that we should take things slow for a while. Now where would she get a crazy idea like that?" Chris hissed as he looked into Max's eyes.

"I have no idea Chris." Max sighed.

"Don't play dumb with me. I know your little game. Fine Liz and I will take things slow. But she already is mine. Chris said in a low voice as he came closer to Max. Max narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists.

"In fact I bet she dreams of me making sweet love to her every...single...night." Chris whispered into Max's ear as Max's anger boiled over as he pushed Chris away from him.

"Isabel was right about you. You’re pathetic." Chris smirked as Max tried to control his temper which was on over drive.

Chris then left the room as Max kicked one of the table legs in frustration. He then rubbed his head and sighed as he tried to calm down. Falling into the trap of Chris's mind games was only going to make him weaker he had to be stronger then that and not let him get to him. He tried to gain some control as he took a deep breath.

His frustration was soon forgotten when he heard the most beautiful sound in the world as Liz and Maria came into the house smiling and laughing.

"Oh hi Max" Liz said smiling when she saw him.

Maria and Liz were both dripping wet from being in the pool and to top it all off they both were wearing bikinis. Maria's was a bright firer orange one while Liz's had a black one on that complemented her tan skin very well.

Liz looked radiant as Max tried to focus and tried not to stair too much. He must have looked like an idiot with his mouth open and his eyes popping out of their sockets as he looked at her.

"Hey Stranger." Maria beamed as Max blinked his eyes and regained his focus.

"Oh hey Maria." Max said trying to control his breath as his heart was beating a mile a minute. Who was he kidding his brother was right he was pathetic.

"Liz and I just came in to grab some towels. You won't happen to have any cloths?" Maria said looking at Max.

"Cloths" He said breathlessly. The only thing he could think about was getting out of his cloths and helping Liz out of hers as he was practically undressing her with his eyes.

"Well you see Alex fell into the pool. So we need to get him some cloths because he is soaked." Maria said as she laughed slightly as Liz burst into laughter.

"Oh sure. I might be able to help him out." Max said regaining some control and he smiled.

"Great. Thanks Max. You are a life savor.” Maria said smiling.

"Glad some one thinks so." Max said smiling as he made his way towards his room.

"Ok I am going to grab some towels. Liz you can pick out the cloths. You know Alex's size." Maria said as she made her way towards the linen closet.

Max and Liz headed upstairs and down the hall way to the far right condor and entered Max's room.

"Thanks Max. Alex will be forever in your debt." Liz said smiling as they entered his room.

"No problem." Max said as he opened up a draw and looked through some shirts.

"So this is your room." Liz said as her eyes wondered the large green and white room. It was decorated with light oak wood furniture and had dark blue curtains. There were pictures of friends and family and awards and trophy's for an extra personal touch.

"Yeah this is my room." Max said as he pulled out a few t-shirts.

"It's nice." Liz said as her eyes fell back on Max as she glanced around the room one last time. She then walked over to the far end of the room where a huge window was.

"I didn't know you had a telescope." Liz said as she peered through the eye piece on to the beautiful ocean view.

Max looked up from what he was doing and placed the shirts down onto his bed as he walked over to her.

"Yeah I got it as a Christmas gift from my grandma one year when I was thirteen. I was always into exploring and astrology so she thought it was fitting for me to have the proper tools to go further my passion in adventure and science." Max said as Liz looked up from the telescope and smiled.

"Really I always loved science as well. It's so fascinating and wondrous. It's one of the reasons why I wanted to go on and study it." Liz said as she squinted through the eye lens.

"Here if you focused it just right you can get an amazing view of the night sky on the ocean." He whispered into her ear as he came behind Liz and focused the knob.

Liz blinked her eyes as the massive blur came into clear view as she gasped at the most beautiful sight she had ever seen as the stars twinkled and danced in front of her as the ocean shinned in the moon light. It felt like she could reach out and touch one of the beautiful stars if she wanted to.

"Like what you see." Max said softly as he smiled enjoying Liz's reaction as he watched her look through the lens.

"It's so beautiful." She said breathlessly as she turned and looked up at him. They stared into each others eyes as they moved closer to each other they could feel their breath on their faces longing for each others touch as they both closed their eyes and parted their lips.

"Max did you and Liz get those cloths?" Maria yelled as they both opened their eyes started.

"Um yeah we were just coming down." Max yelled and then glanced back at Liz as they both smiled. "What size is Alex?" Max said in a low voice.

"Anything that’s small is fine. That boy is as skinny as a rail." Liz smiled as laughed slightly as she made her way over to the bed as Max looked through some cloths in his middle draw.

"How's this?" Max said holding up a gray t-shirt and black lacrosse shorts.

"Perfect." Liz said smiling.

"Um Max I don't think those shorts are going to fit Alex?" Liz said eyeing another pair of shorts on the bed.

"Those are for me. I'm in the mood for a swim if you care to join me." Max said smiling.

"I'd swim with you any day." Liz said seductively as Max blinked his eyes in shock.

Liz then shook her head shocked as to what she had just said as her cheeks started to flush.

"Um..I mean sure... um I loved to. Well I better go. Bye." Liz said embarrassed as she quickly grabbed the cloths for Alex and left the room leaving Max stunned and smiling.

Chapter Eighteen

Alex changed and was rubbing his wet hair with a towel when Max made his way down stairs and outside to the pool.

"Hey man thanks for the cloths." Alex said smiling as he draped the towel around his neck.

"No problem. Glad to help. Now what happened?" Max said as he sat down next to Alex.

"Nothing I just got a little distracted." Alex said shacking his head.

"A little distracted you were practically drooling when you saw Isabel." Maria whispered and smirked as Alex looked at Maria as she laughed.

"Well you won't be the first one to have fallen in cloths and all. A few years ago Dawson fell in head first and all. It was hysterical. Actually The Creekers and my brother Chris all jumped in. It was classic. So consider yourself part of the club." Max said and he and Alex laughed.

"Well I am going to go for a swim." Max said as he pulled off his shirt.

" Damn It must be in the genes." Maria whispered in shock as she looked at Max's well defined chest as Alex just shook his head and laughed as Max jumped into the huge pool.

The cool water felt good on the hot summer night as Max emerged and shook his head as beaded of water ran down his dark brown hair. He then started with a few easy strokes as he swam towards the middle of the pool.

Liz was floating in the center of the pool enjoying how relaxed she felt as the warm summer breeze blew past her body, and then it was gone as she felt the cool water sounder her as she opened her eyes seeing two liquid amber one staring back at her as she fell under.

"Max" she cried as she emerged from the water and pushed her hair back out of her face.

She looked radiant as the water dripped from her long brown hair and down her body. Max was speechless as he looked at her.

"So are you ready for that swim?" Max said finally finding his voice as he looked into her eyes. Liz stood there and swallowed as she felt a chill run down her spin as she blinked her eyes. This was a dream Max Evans was standing in front of her half naked.

She tried not to look at the beads of water dripping down his chiseled chest. Oh how she would love to be one off those beads running down his well defined abs as she bit her lower lip and blushed.

"Liz" Max said as he looked at her.

"What. Oh sorry. Yeah I am ready for that swim." She said as she shook her head slightly breaking her trance and smiled.

They swam for a little while together until a huge splash was head at the far end of the pool as Chris jumped in and swam over to them.

"Hey Liz. You are looking very sexy tonight as always." Chris said smiling.

"Thank you Chris." Liz said slightly blushing. "I see my twin brother has found you again." Chris said eyeing Max.

"Quite the opposite Liz was the one who found me." Max said smiling as he saw he slightly hurt his brother’s pride.

"Oh well then. I am sure the two of you won't mind me joining you then." Chris said a little surprised. However it was nothing he couldn't handle. A little competition never hurt the chase.

"Not at all Chris." Liz said acceptingly.

"I was hoping you would say that Parker." Chris said smiling as he gave Max a piercing look.

All of the sudden a blur was water was seen as a huge splash water fight broke out between Max, Chris, and Liz.

"Come on Chris surrender. I am the king of the pool." Max said laughing as Chris rubbed the water from his eyes.

"Give up never. This is war." Chris said as he threw Max a huge title wave.

Liz then emerged from the water and splashed them both in the face.

"Ha looks like I am the Queen here." Liz said laughing as Max and Chris shook the water from their hair.

"Damn it Parker you crossed the line." Max said eyeing his brother as they smiled. "Let’s get her!" Chris yelled as Max and Chris started splashing her as she tried to block their deadly waves with her hands.

"Stop it. That’s not fair! Stop!" Liz pleaded as the waves became more intense.

"AW" a yell was heard as Alex dove into the water and made a huge cannon ball as waves were sent everywhere causing Max and Chris to be hit first dead on with the enormous waves.

"Alex Whitman to the rescue." Alex cried as he started swirling around making a huge whirl pool. Maria and Isabel soon followed him as the wave pool got bigger and bigger.

Soon ever one was going around in circles causing the water to rage with enormous waves as they rose high until the current was moving them as they laughed.

Finally the six of them stopped and tried to stop the dizziness as the back yard spun around until finally it stopped.

"Damn Whitman you nearly killed me. That was awesome!" Chris cried as he hit Alex on the back. "Thanks but let that be a lesson to all of you no one messes with my Liz." Alex beamed.

"Aw my hero" Liz cried as she hugged and kissed Alex on the cheek making Max and Chris jealous with envy.

"OK I think we have had enough excitement for one night. It's a good thing we didn't wake up the neighbors the Warner’s would of killed us.” Isabel said laughing.

"Yeah let’s get into some dry cloths. It's starting to get cold out here." Maria said as she shivered and quickly got out.

"I'll keep you warm Maria." Chris yelled.

"Thanks Chris but I think I will pass." Maria said as she laughed at her friend as she wrapped a towel around her.

"No Deluca I was thinking more of starting a firer inside and make some smores." Chris said as he smirked at her.

"Oh that sounds like an awesome idea!" Alex beamed as he got out of the pool.

"Yeah a warm firer would be nice." Isabel said as she wrapped a towel around her.

"Or a nice hot shower what do you say Isabel." Alex said wiggling his eyebrows up and down.

Isabel then walked over to Alex and pushed him into the pool.

"So is that a yes?" Alex cried as he emerged from the water as Isabel walked inside while everyone laughed.

Chapter Nineteen

After the group had taken separate showers and got dressed in their Pajamas as they headed downstairs where Chris was just putting the finishing touches on the raging firer.

"It looks wonderful Chris." Liz beamed as she sat down in the huge chair next to the marble firer place.

"Well my years of camping have certainly paid off. I defiantly know how to keep a woman warm." Chris said as he looked up at Liz and smiled as he put the final log into the glowing lit.

Liz smiled and slightly blushed as she turned her gaze towards the twin of the glowing firer as two liquid amber eyes burned in her sight. Her face flushed feeling the temperature rise in the room.

Max made his way towards the couch next to where Liz was sitting and sat down. Chris and Maria were sitting on the floor getting the smores ready as Alex entered the room with a tray of marshmallow.

"Now this is what I needed after another exciting day in Capeside some relaxing." Alex said as he handed Chris the tray and sat down on the couch.

"Yeah well you guys are in luck my brother makes some amazing smores." Isabel said as she handed Chris a few bars of chocolate and sat down on the couch as she grabbed the blanket from Alex.

"Hey I was using that." Alex said as he pulled the blanket back over him as Isabel and Alex started there tug of war with the blanket.

"Now children behave." Max said laughing as Isabel rolled her eyes

"Yes dad." Isabel fumed at Max.

"Look Isabel there is plenty of room to share." Alex said offering her some of the blanket.

"Ok fine. But this is the last time I am ever sharing anything with you. Got that Whitman." Isabel said looking at Alex as he grinned.

"Sure Isabel." Alex said as he draped the blanket over their legs and snuggled up to it as he signed.

Just then Max's cell phone rang as the familiar beep beep beep was heard.

"Sorry I got to get this." Max said getting up from the couch and grabbed his cell phone on the table as he headed into the kitchen.

"Hello?" Max said as he flipped his phone on.

"Oh hey Max its Dawson. Look I just wanted to let you know that my script is finished and ready to be put into action." Dawson beamed on the other line.

"Wow that’s great Dawson. Congrats." Max said excited for his friend.

"Thanks." Dawson cried.

"So where are you?" Max asked as he looked at everyone in the living room enjoying the warm firer.

"Oh Joey and Pacey are over for the Kevin Williams marathon at my house." Dawson said as Max could hear Joey in the background yelling "Dawson how many times do we have to watch I Know What You Did Last Summer?"

"Yeah I mean don't you have Scream or Scream Two? They are classics. I'd even settle for Scream Three! I mean if I have to see that Prince guy and that Gellar girl run from the trench coat caption hook man one more time I think I am going to die!

And trust me I am sure you don't want to clean up the bloody mess I'll make!" Pacey chimed in as Dawson mumbled for them to be quite.

"Hey sorry about that looks like the peanut gallery is calling me. Just meet me tomorrow at my house and I will tell you when the filming schedule will start." Dawson said.

"Ok sure thing. Have a great night. Tell Jo and Pacey I say hi." Max said smiling.

"Will do. Bye Max." Dawson said as he hung up.

Max clicked off his phone and headed back into the living room.

"Alex be careful you nearly burned down the house with your last marshmallow!" Isabel cried as Alex laughed.

"Relax Isabel... I got... THIS OH GOD THAT HOT!" Alex cried as his shirt sleeve caught on firer.

Maria quickly poured her glass of water on him as the firer quickly went out.

Isabel bust out in laugher and fell back on to the couch as her body shook as she laughed. Tear were forming in her eyes as she shook.

Max stood there shocked and smiling at the same time. It had been years since he had seen his sister laugh like that and it felt good to hear her laughter again.

"I'm sorry but that was the funniest thing I have seen in year." She said trying to regain her breath as she whipped the tears from her eyes.

Alex then started laughing along with her as well. "Here Isabel you want by marshmallow." Alex said holding up the burned marshmallow in front of her as they giggled.

"Sure I love mine well done." Isabel said sarcastically trying to control her laughter as she took the marshmallow from him.

"Wow Liz you were right there is never a dull moment when Alex is around." Max said laughing as he took a seat next to Isabel on the couch.

"Yes that’s why I love him." Liz said laughing as she grinned at Alex.

"So who was on the phone?" Chris said as he placed a gram cracker on his smore.

"It was Dawson he finished his script and wants to meet tomorrow at his house to go over filming schedule and stuff like that." Max sighed as he leaned back into the couch.

"Oh awesome." Chris beamed as he ate his smore.

"Did he tell you anything about the script?" Liz asked intrigued.

"No I am just as in the dark as you are." Max said shacking his head as he grabbed a marshmallow and began to roast it over the firer.

"Wow Chris these are orgasmic!" Maria gasped as she ate her smore.

"I told you I was good." Chris smirked.

"No these are out of this world!" Maria raved as Chris beamed with pride.

"There are nothing like my brothers smores." Isabel smiled.

"You can say that again." Liz said as she licked the chocolate from her fingers as Max slightly groaned as he watched her.

"Well there is more where that came from." Chris said in a low voice as he looked up at Liz and smiled.

With in an hour everyone was stuffed and falling asleep as the warmth from the firer was taking its toll no everyone.

Alex and Isabel were asleep on the couch as Chris dosed on the floor. Maria was trying all she could keep her eyes open.

"Hey Chris." Maria whispered as she shook him. "You really should put the firer out. Everyone is falling asleep." Maria said sleepily.

Chris rubbed his tired eyes. "Sure thing." he said as he put out the firer as Maria, Max and Liz cleaned up.

They didn't want to wake Isabel and Alex who were already out like a light on the couch as Alex low snoring could be heard from the kitchen.

"Thanks see you guys in the morning." Chris yawned as they made their way upstairs.

"Good night." Maria yawned as she entered her room and closed the door.

"Quite a night?" Max said as he walked down the hall with Liz.

"Yeah but it was fun. I love it here so far." Liz said as she slightly smiled.

Max smiled down at her. "Well goodnight." He said as he started to head towards his room.

"Max wait." Liz said in a low voice as Max stopped and spin around.

"Um this is for you." Liz said as she grabbed something in her room and placed something into Max's hand.

Max opened up his hand and saw a white round circle of a sand dollar staring up at him.

"What's this?" He said as glanced at Liz.

"It's a sand dollar. Maria and I went to the beach this morning and I saw it along the shore line. The middle reminded me of a star and well I know how you said you were into astrology so I thought you might like it." Liz said softly as Max looked at the sand dollar in his hand.

"Thank you." Max whispered.

"You see right here is the star. But for some reason when I first saw it the middle looked more like a flower to me then a star.” Liz said in a low voice pointing to the middle of the dollar.

"What do you think Max?" Liz said looking up into his amber eyes as she smiled.

He glanced down at his open palm with the dollar in the center as he closed his hand around Liz's finger as he looked deep into her eyes.

"I see a star." He said breathlessly. They held there gaze for a few minutes before he released his hold on Liz's finger.

"Well good night Max." Liz said softly as she slowly back away from him as she opened her bedroom door.

"Liz." Max whispered as if he had something he wanted to tell her.

"Yes." She said looking up at him.

There was a moment of silence between them as Liz waited to hear what he wanted to say. Max then shook his head slightly as if to brush off a thought he had and sighed.

"Sweet Dreams." He said softly and smiled as Liz smiled back at him.

"You too." she whispered before closing her door.
