Hey everyone out there in Roswell Land!
:smilecolros:
Thanks for all of your reply's, and i know that Kyle seems to be in a bad place at the moment, but it should get betetr, i hope!
I'm glad you liked the dream. The Sugarcult song was the inspiration for it, which ironicly, i'm listening to right now as i type this!
Anyway, i have atleast 15 pages of history to do so instead, i decided to post this chapter. If you havn't noticed, i'm trying to postpone doing my homework as much as possible.
Also, as i said before, i live in Australia, so i don't know how long it takes to get from Roswell to Phoenix, so please don't hurt me for assuming that it takes longer than it does... please?
I hope you like it...
Enjoy

Chapter 11
Michael woke with a start, as the pounding on his door got louder. He rubbed his eyes with his hand and let out a sleepy sigh. He stumbled out of bed, tripping over a shoe he had thrown off the night before. He slowly walked through the lounge room; a large yawn escaping his mouth as he once again rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself up.
“Alright…alright… I’m coming!”
The pounding on the door ceased, and instead a large red glow from the keyhole illuminated the room for a brief second before returning back to darkness. He stopped and extending his arm, his palm vertical to the wall, ready to fire at any intruder who was also an alien. The door slowly opened and he heard the mumbling of a familiar voice.
“Why do we need Michael?”
“So he can punch you while I’m driving!”
He forced his hand down to his side as the two figures walked through the door. Max had a stern look on his face, which automatically told Michael that this was not a social call. His hands were wrapped around Kyle’s arm, his knuckled white from the pressure of his grip. Michael gave a slight nod to the two people who had disturbed his precious sleep and another large yawn, placing a hand over his mouth.
“Maxwell…Valenti… What’s going on?”
Max’s eyes gleamed with anger as he looked right at the sleepwalker in front of him.
“We’re going to Phoenix! Get your things!”

She rolled over in bed, her eyes fluttering open slightly so she could get a glimpse of her surroundings. The sheets clung to her overheated body as she sat up, feeling the dizziness invoke her. Liz’s feet trembled as she placed them on the hard, cool ground. She wiped away the sweat that was forming on her forehead as she felt the cool floor under her toes.
Her temperature was a lot higher than normal, and everything she touched felt as though it was on fire, the heat burning her skin when she came into contact with the object. Her vision was blurry as she slid off the bed, collapsing on the ground below her. The coolness swept through her body, easing the pain the slightest bit. She clung to the floor, rolling around so it touched all of her skin.
The room suddenly became icy and she started to shake, her body immediately going numb from the sudden change in temperature. Liz crawled back over to where her bed was, pulling the sheets off and covering herself in them, trying to get feeling back in her arms and legs.
Tears streamed down her face as she whimpered, desperately needing help, but having no one to help her. She crawled further under the blankets until they blocked out the dim light of her room, her tears wetting the fabric surrounding her as she cried his name…
“Max…”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Why am I here? I already told you all that I know!”
“Maxwell, he has a point! Why is he still here?”
“He’s here so if I find out he’s lying, I don’t have to wait until I get back to Roswell to beat the crap out of him again!” Max turned his attention back to the road, feeling Kyle’s uneasiness as he sat behind him staring out into the vast desert.
“We’ve been driving for two and a half days! Believe me, if he’s lying you won’t have the chance to beat the crap out of him because I would have already started!”
Kyle could tell by their tone that they were serious, yet he couldn’t help but wonder why they chose physical violence if they could blast him into orbit with one point of their fingers. His hand clutched a raw steak to his eyes, too afraid to ask if Max could heal it for him. He mumbled something under his breath, hoping that they hadn’t heard.
“Nice to feel wanted!”
Max’s phone started to vibrate on the dashboard. He glanced at it, before turning his eyes back to the vast desert road in front of him. He didn’t have to read the number, he automatically knew who was calling him. Michael picked it up and stared at the number, throwing a questioning glance in Max’s direction.
“Aren’t you going to answer it?”
“It’s Tess…”
“Oh, right well… How many’s that in the last hour? Four times she’s called?”
“Something like that!”
A city was visible in the distance, a cloud of dust surrounding it as it emerged from the horizon. Kyle sat forward, leaning against the seat in front of him, knowing that they were almost there and contemplating who he should be more afraid of… Max and Michael when he tells them that he doesn’t know where exactly she lives; or Liz when they do find her and she discovers that Kyle broke his promise.
“Where to now Valenti?”
Kyle’s gaze was torn away from the city appearing in front of him and drawn back to where Michael was staring at him. Here goes nothing…
“I… uh… I don’t exactly know where she lives!”
“What was that?”
“All she told me was that she lives across from a small shopping mall… nothing else except that it was in a dingy sort of neighbourhood!”
Michael turned back to face Max, his fury flowing into his veins, making his face turn bright red. Oddly enough, Max seemed extremely calm. He was staring ahead of him, concentrating on the road in front.
“Maxwell… didn’t you just here Kyle… He doesn’t know where she is!”
“I do…”
“What?” Michaels was clearly freaked out by this information. He raised his eyebrows in a suspicious manner and stared at the alien on the seat next to him. Max tore his concentration away from the road and looked directly into Michael’s eyes.
“I can feel her!”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Liz walked down the corridor to her apartment. The bags of groceries banged against her legs as she walked, causing her to stumble a few times. It was weird, the sickness. This morning she thought she was going to die because she was in such a bad condition, but in the last few hours she had suddenly gotten better. She almost felt healthy now, except for the odd sniffle or cough.
She felt so much better that when she went to fridge earlier thinking that she might actually be able to digest something and keep it down, she realized that it was empty.
Liz rested the bags in front of the door whilst she searched through her pockets for her key. She felt the alien key ring and pulled it out of the pocket. Her hand brushed against the door and it moved open slightly, leaving a small crack to peer through. Her clothes were strewn everywhere and her suitcase was lying open on the floor. The table was kicked over and her only chair was somewhere over the other side of the room.
She pushed open the door further to get a better look. It almost looked as bad as the first day she had seen it, except it no longer had the smell. Slowly, she took a small step inside the room, her eyes flittering around the room, looking at the damage.
"Hello? Is any one in here?
A hand grabbed her from behind and flung her across the room. She fell hard onto the ground, the figure coming closer to her with fast pace. As an automatic reaction, she screamed, her voice ringing through the room and out into the corridor. A hand collided with her face, throwing her head to the side as she whimpered from the pain…
