Part 11

"So, what do you do Satori?" Maria asked.

Satori put down her wineglass before she spoke. "I'm a marketeer, but I also have a business degree."

"Marketing? that must be fun, bet you reap in the big bucks."

Satori laughed. "Well, its 50/50 with advertising, if the idea works, then great! but if it fails, then you might lose a lot of money that went into the campaign, not to mention having the risk of getting your ass sued, or complaints from people what could result in the advert being banned in severe cases. But all in all, it is great fun. And the pay isn't half bad!" She finished with a smile, and reached for her wine.

"Hey, Liz owns a book store, maybe you could give us some pointers on how to increase sales." Maria turned to Liz, "What do you say Lizzie? shall we spruce the place up a bit?" She did a little arm and body wiggle.

Liz laughed at Maria's antics. "Um, sure, I guess the extra promotional awareness isn't going to hurt, but won't it be kinda expensive? I don't think we'd be able to pay what you usually charge."

"Don't worry about it. I'll give you a 45% discount since you're a new client and a friend of Serena's."

"Well, actually...."

"Ok, a friend of Max's then, who in turn is Serena's brother, it doesn't matter." She laughed. "Why don't you go over the details with me either later on or in the morning, and I'll draw up an audit for you. Also, if you like, I can put my business skills to work and see if you want anything improving on your store?"

"Sure."


After dinner, Liz loaded the last of the dirty dishes into the dishwasher. As she stood, she felt a pair of strong masculine arms wrap around her waist and pull her against a hard body. Warm breath tingled against her neck. She gasped as sensual warm lips brushed her skin in a delicate caressing kiss.

"Mmmm.... I couldn't wait for dinner to end. I just had to touch you. To taste you." Max flicked his tongue out and licked her neck.

"Max...." Liz breathed. "What if someone comes in?" Liz moaned as he nibbled her neck and earlobe.

"Let them." He ran his hands up and down her body, then stopped to cup her ample breasts. "Don't you just enjoy the thrill Liz? The thought of one of our friends catching us in a compromising position?" He rasped hoarsely against her ear. His breath made Liz tingle all over. Quickly, he spun her around and captured her mouth in a searing desperate kiss.

Suddenly they heard a gasp and quickly pulled apart.

"Oh geez, sorry! I didn't mean to...uh, I'll just make the coffee when you guys are done. Uh, I'm sorry to have interrupted."

They saw a red faced Satori hastily retreat out the kitchen in embarrassment followed by a giggling Serena, who winked at them.

Looking at each other in shock and amusement, Max and Liz bursted out laughing.

Ooh, what away to end the night!

Part 12

"Hey Maria, is Liz working today?"

"Yeah, it's story time right now, so she's still reading to the kids."

"That's ok, I'll wait." Max followed Liz's soothing and animated voice to the back of the quaint little book shop. He saw a bunch of young kids sitting in front of her, and by the looks on their faces, clinging onto every word she spoke. Their parents were seated at the end or at the back behind them, some were standing, while others were browsing around the book store.

"She's amazing isn't she?" A woman in her late twenties quietly asked Max. "My Bethany used to hate to read, but after coming here and listening to Miss Parker read, she's so into the story and adventures, she begun to read more book regularly; plus her English grade has started to pick up."

"That's terrific." Max enthused.

The woman eyed Max appreciatively. "I haven't seen you here before, is your son or daughter in the audience?" she indicated to the group of kids still listening intently to Liz's every word.

"No, I'm here to see Miss Parker." Max gave Liz a smile as she looked up just then and saw him standing there.


Liz looked up from her book and spotted Max smiling at her and looking all devilishly sexy as ever. Her heart did a little flip of joy in seeing him. She smiled back at him. Liz noticed that Daisy Prenton seemed to have set her sights on Max. Ever since her divorce, she had turned into a man-eater!

Daisy was batting her eyelashes at Max and smiling seductively at him, but Max only had eyes for Liz, who had turned her attention back to her book.


"And they lived happily ever after!" Liz closed the story book with a flourish. "Ok, cookies and milk are at the back." She pointed in the direction behind them. "And Maria will be here with music time in 15 minutes." She watched the kids scatter to the refreshments table.

Getting up, she put the book back on the shelf, then walked over to Max, who immediately took her into his arms and kissed her.

Daisy Prenton cleared her throat. "Well, it was nice to meet you." She wandered off to join her daughter.

Max pulled Liz into a more secluded area behind one of the shelves.

"I missed you." Max said huskily into her ear and nibbled on her lobe.

"I missed you too." Liz murmured back.

"Wanna catch a movie tonight? Dinner after, then come back to my place for a bit?"

"For dance lessons?"

"That, yes, but we could also do other things among that."

"Such as?" Liz teased.

"How about a make out session?" Max nipped her lower lip and pulled teasingly.

"Sure."

"Great." He kissed her again.

Liz suddenly pulled away from the kiss and looked down when she felt a tug on her long skirt.

Little doe eyed Amy gazed up at them, then at Max wide eyed.

"Is he your prince Miss Parker? Like in the story? he sure looks like a prince." Amy observed.

Liz smiled. "Yes, I suppose he is." Liz replied looking at Max then back again at Amy. Liz bent down to Amy's height. "Did you enjoy the story?"

Amy nodded enthusiastically. "I hope to find my own prince one day, just like you have."

Max knelt down too. He grinned at the little girl.

"Do you really think I look like a prince?"

Liz rolled her eyes. Max seemed to want a bigger ego!

Again the little girl nodded.

"Well, I think another prince out there one day will be very lucky to find a princess like you." He tapped the end of her button nose.

Amy blushed and dipped her head shyly.

"Ok kids, gather 'round it's music time!"

Amy heard Maria's voice, and after saying a quick "Bye!" to Max and Liz, ran off to join the other children.

Max watched her go, and something tugged inside his heart.

"Looks as if you've made her next 10 years!" Liz said behind Max's ear, a smile in her voice.

Max turned to face Liz and without warning captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

Sorry, I think its time to either upgrade to a new software for my compy or throw it away, it either crashes on me when I get popups or it just crashes. Any computer whiz here to help me out?? *looks around hopefully*


Anyway, I haven't had time to complete this chapter yet since RL caught up with me again, but I thought I'd post this bit first as it can act as a stand alone chapter for now. I'd post the rest when i get it written up.

Part 13A

The following day, Liz felt as if she was floating on cloud nine. Last night, she and Max had gone to see Troy. Excellent movie, and a naked Brad Pitt had been a plus! Max had gotten a bit pissed off when she unconsciously breathed out "Wow.....!" when they had shown the full naked backside of Achilles. Max had leaned in and whispered seductively in her ear "He's got nothing compared to me." He then proceeded to nibble her earlobe and kiss down her neck, which fired up Liz's blood to a boiling point.

For dinner, they went to a cozy French restaurant. The setting was perfect for couples to enjoy a romantic night out together. From the single white candles which sat in the center of each table for light, to the chestnut wood panel walls and screen dividers for privacy if one wanted a cozy cabin feel yet required some privacy. Romantic music strummed softly in the background.

Once seated, and their orders taken, Max reached across the table and held Liz's hand in his. They had spent the rest of their meal talking just about everything whilst feeding each other morsels of food. The googley eye staring at one another also couldn't be helped! The restaurant had been a place of magical romance where all fuzzy tingly feeling for one another was brought out to share with a loved one; or at least some one you cared for deeply.

Luckily their friends hadn't been there to witness them! they'd never hear the end of the gagging and teasing jokes.

After dinner, they went back to Max's place. It was that night that changed the course of their relationship.

After another scorching dance lesson, they had snuggled up together on the sofa to relax and enjoy each others company. Classical music played soothingly on the stereo.

"Max, what's on your mind?" Liz had asked.

"It... it's nothing."

"Max, tell me. You've been silent for a full 15 minutes."

Silence.

"Liz, I know we haven't been going out for very long, but already I'm having these warm fuzzy tingly feelings about us. And I really like it when we spend time together." Max laced his fingers with Liz's.

"You are?" Liz smiled and looked down at their joined hands. "Me too." She said shyly.

Max took a deep breath. Good, he wasn't alone in this, they were on the same wavelength.

Ok, moment of truth.

"I.... I think I'm in love with you Liz. I don't know how it happened, but it has." Max held his breath.

Liz snuggled into the crook of his neck and breathed in his scent. She was silent for a while as she digested his confession.

Max loved her. Her, quiet Liz Parker who most guys stayed clear of since they thought she was too quiet and boring. Either that or perhaps she just wasn't pretty enough.

She began to kiss his neck.

"I love you too Max." Liz giggled when she noticed Max holding his breath for her reaction. "You can breathe now."

Max expelled a breath, and was soon kissing Liz back with abandon. Soon they were caught up in a passionate haze of kisses and caresses as they tried to get closer to each other.

"Max....." Liz breathed in a whisper.

Max kissed a trail of open mouthed kisses along her neck, collar bone then down between the V of her evening dress. His hands undid her zipper behind her back and his hands wandered into the fabric to caress her naked skin.

Somewhere in the back of her mind through the foggy haze, Liz knew things were heating up real fast and would be leading onto something more serious in their relationship.

"Max."

Liz pushed at his chest to get his attention. Max stopped what he was doing and looked down at her. They stared at each other. Suddenly Max clicked on. At the rate he was going, he'd be making love to her on his sofa then and there!

"Oh god! Sorry! Liz, I'm so sorry!" Max quickly sat up and Liz followed suit. She sat here looking at him, then smiled to herself. She reached out a hand and caressed his cheek so he would meet her gaze.

"Max, look at me."

Max slowly turned his head and looked at her guiltily. Liz found his expression rather adorable. God how she loved this man. Though they hadn't been going out for very long, in her heart, she felt as though she'd known him her entire life. But a small niggle of fear still played in her unsure shy heart.

"You won't break my heart will you Max?" She looked at him with wide innocent brown eyes.

"Not intentionally, no. I love you Liz. I don't want to hurt you, ever. I'll be honest with you, if I do hurt you, it will be unintentional; but I will try with all my heart to make everyday of your life a happy one." He placed a kiss on her palm.

Liz straddled his lap and leaned in to kiss him again. He liked her for who she was, there was no pretences or hidden expectations of her. He loved her for who she was. Simple Liz Parker.

Her hands pulled up his shirt from his pants and began to unbutton it. Liz felt Max grab her writs to stop her. She looked at him and was met with his intense concerned gaze.

"Liz, are you sure you want this? We haven't been together for very long; I don't want you to have any regrets."

Liz bit her lower lip. "Will you?"

"No! of course not! Liz, I've wanted you from the first time I saw you. The way you make me feel, no other woman has come close."

"Good, I'm happy to hear." She gave him a quick peck on the lips. "I won't regret this Max. It's what I want as much as you do."

"Are you sure?"

Liz laughed.

"Yes Max. No regrets."

Max lifted her up and carried her to his bedroom where they made love for the first time together. And Max had been right, Brad Pitt had nothing compared to Max Evans in the derriere department, or any department for that matter.


Liz snapped out of her thoughts when Maria breezed into the kitchen and poured herself some coffee.

"Morning Liz. I didn't hear you come in last night."

"Um, I came in really late." Yeah, if late translates to early this morning.

"So how was your date with Max?"

Liz gave a dreamy sigh. "Perfect." She almost purred.

Maria raised an eyebrow at her friend's cloud nine expression. The something clicked.

"Oh my god! Liz, you did and Max--"

"None of your business Maria." Liz said cutting her off, and practically floated out the room.

"You guys did didn't you?!" Maria called out, but was only met with silence.

Turning back to her coffee she gave mischievous chuckle.

Mission accomplished.
