Chapter 21
Isabel stormed into her house and right to her room. What the hell? The last thing she remembered was running into the desert and then she was in Liz's living room with Liz's brother. And what the hell was with Tess? All of a sudden she cared about Isabel's feelings? She didn't when she stole Alex from her.
Without her knowing it, the things in Isabel's room started floating out of their places and started spinning around her. As her anger grew, so did her power. Faster and faster her stuff spun until she heard her mother call her.
"Isabel, I'm home. You wanna help me with dinner?"
"Yeah mom." Isabel waved her hand and walked out of her room, never noticing the intense brown eyes that had been watching her.

Maria finished her shift just as Tess came back in for hers. She had taken her place as both Liz and Alex's best friend. She was always with them and it was like Liz suddenly never had time for her. Well, that and all these new people kept on showing up. Max was sure to hold a meeting because of them.
"I can't believe she would be so cold to you." She heard Liz say to Tess as they walked into the back.
"I was just trying to be nice. I mean, when I saw Krit and them bring Isabel in, I thought that I had lost her and I was really worried but I guess what I think or feel doesn't matter to her."
"Well duh!" Maria snapped as she moved into their view. "What did you expect? First, you're so into Max and now you have Alex, when you know that Isabel's in love with him."
"Well then she should have done something about it, Maria. You can't just use someone and then get pissed when he moves on." Liz snapped.
"Well I guess you would know." Maria said before walking out of the cafe.

"What was that about?" Logan asked as he walked down the stairs and into the back of the cafe. He hadn't heard everything but he'd heard enough to be worried. "I thought you and Maria were best friends?"
"I thought so too but I guess not." Liz said before turning around and walking into the cafe. Logan looked to Tess who looked like crap.
"What's wrong Tess?"
"Nothing. It's just....when Liz came back, everything was normal and then she started being my friend and I don't know. Now no one seems to be happy that we finally buried the hachet. They've all turned on us. Only Alex and Kyle talk to us and even that is barely with Kyle." Tess said before breaking into tears.
"Oh Tess." Logan patted her on the shoulders and lead her to the couch, where he sat her down and dropped down next to her. "None of that is your fault. It just goes to show who your real friends are. If they can't be happy for you then they're not worth it."
"But Max, Isabel and Michael are all the family I've got." She whined.
"You know that's not true. Liz'll be here and Alex is crazy about you. Don't worry about everyone else." When he saw that what he was saying didn't help, he went to plan B. "I'ma go get Alex, okay?" Tess nodded. "Okay."
Logan jumped up and walked out to get Alex. He had been there before and hopefully was here now for his girlfriend. As he turned, Logan saw Alex sitting in a booth with Zack and Syl. He thanked his lucky stars and walked right to them.
"So you all grew up together?" Alex was asking them.
"Well Syl, Krit, Max and I did. Alec was sort of in a different unit than us."
"Unit?"
"Alex!" Logan interrupted.
"Yeah Logan." He said, looking up at the older man.
"Tess needs you in the back and I'm not very good with things like that."
"Oh." Alex turned to Zack and Syl. "Gotta go."

Maxie and Liz worked until the cafe closed. Tess had left early with Alex while Alec and Logan showed Zack and Syl around town. Only Krit seemed to be unknown. No one had heard from or seen him since that morning but as Liz swept the front and Maxie did the back, Krit strolled in to the cafe with a confused look on his face.
"Hey man." Liz smiled.
"Hey bro. Wut's the dealio?" Maxie asked as she cleaned the kitchen.
"What is Isabel? Because she ain't human." Both girls stopped what they were doing.
"What?" Liz stammered.
"What is Isabel?"
"That's none of your god damn business." Liz turned and saw Michael standing by the door that lead into the back.

Chapter 22
"Um, Michael what are you doing here?" Liz asked as she walked in front of Krit. Yeah Michael was the second in command to a King but Krit was far more than that. Michael wouldn't stand a chance.
"I just finished cleaning the grill. Who is he?" He snapped.
"That's none of your business." Maxie snapped back. Liz could see from the corner of her eye both Krit and Maxie moving into defensive stands. The shit was about to hit the fan and she had no clue what to do.
"Um, why don't you just go home, Michael. Maxie and I can finish while you do whatever it is you do." Liz told him. She wanted to keep as much control as she could.
"No. Now who is he and why does he think Isabel isn't human?" Michael took a step closer to Liz who, with all her might, stood right where she was.
"That is none of your business." She told him.
"Like hell it isn't."
"It isn't." Logan said from behind Michael and just like that Zack, Syl and Alec were standing around her.
"Who are all these people Liz?"
"Their my friends." She simply told him. "And the one with the glasses is my older brother."
"Funny, since you never told us about them." Liz turned to see Max and Isabel standing by the door and she couldn't help but moan. This was getting uglier by the second.
"That's because she didn't have to and nor does she." Alec said as he walked over to Liz.
"So that is how this is?" Isabel asked.
"How else would it be?" Liz smiply questioned. "I needed friends and when you guys couldn't give it to me, I found it somewhere else."
"I think it's time for you three to leave." Zack stated instead of asking.
"I don't think so." Max took a stupid step forward. Michael just walked over to his king while Maxie and Krit switched sides. Great, Liz thought to herself. My old friends against my new ones.
"Just leave." Syl told them. "We really don't want any trouble."
"And neither do we." Isabel told her. "We just wanna know if you're all safe?"
"They are." Liz told her.
"I can't trust someone who doesn't trust me." Max told her.
"Then I guess that's just too damn bad. Now leave." She shouted. Her finger flew up but so did the pod squad. And out they went. The doors closing and locking behind them.
"Whoa." Everyone moved away from Liz who was now panting in the middle of the room.
"Liz are you okay?" Logan asked as he slowly walked over to her but before he could reach her, she crumbled to the ground. "Liz!"

Chapter 23
Liz woke up to a banging in her head. No more whatever it was I was doing last night, she thought to herself as she got out of bed and walked into her bath room. There she turned on the shower and slowly got in, the hot water hitting her and relaxing her in a way it normally didn't. What the hell happened yesterday that had her so....so....bunched up?

Logan and the others sat in the living room waiting for Liz to wake up. It had been two days and people were starting to worry. Especially Alex and Tess. They were practically banging down the door 24/7 but Logan couldn't risk telling them what happened, so instead all he did was tell them to leave. That of course only pissed them off more.
"She's awake." Max said from her spot near the window.
Alec was the first one up but it was Krit who stopped him. "Dude, let go before I kill you."
"No man. Logan needs to see her first. That's his sister. Family first, then you." Alec gave him an evil glare but dropped back onto the couch.
"Fine, but as soon as I hear that you're done, I'm going in." His leg bounced and his hands tapped on any and everything around him. He was more stressed out about his that Logan was. And Liz was his sister!
"Fine." Logan said before walking towards the door. "Liz?"
"Come in!"

"What do you think happen?" Tess asked as she and Alex sat in the crashdown. Logan had told them that they couldn't go in but he didn't say a thing about them waiting downstairs.
"I don't know but I did hear Michael say something about Liz hitting them with something really powerful that knocked them on their asses. You don't think....." Alex's words trailed off as the rest of the Pod squad walked in. Max stood in front, with Isabel on his left and Michael on his right. At that moment, they truely did look like royalty. The only problem with that was that they looked like royalty about to announce that they were going to kill someone and Alex had a feeling that someone was Liz. Why couldn't he just get to Liz and warn her?"

Maria climbed Liz's fire escape. If they were ever going to be friends again, she was going to have to be the first one to start it. No matter what. Maria had to say sorry to Liz and then suck it up and say sorry to Tess. She was now Alex's girlfriend and Liz's new best friend. Hopefully there was room in Liz's heart for one more best friend cause Maria didn't think she'd be able to survive what was about to happen to them all.

Chapter 24
"Logan!" Liz smiled at her big brother as she fixed her top. She had just gotten out of the bath tub and was feeling more relaxed than ever. Whatever had happened last night was so over. "What's up?"
"Liz." Logan dropped down onto her bed and watched as she moved around her room like she hadn't been unconscious for two days. "Are you feeling okay?"
"I was feeling a little sore but then I took a bath and I feel fine." Liz stopped combing her hair and turned to her brother. Something was wrong. She could see it in his eyes. "What happened?"
"I don't know. You tell me. What do you remember?"
"About what?" Maybe if he got her talking, it'll do something for her.
"About the night Krit came walking into the cafe asking about Isabel." Liz mouthed an 'O' before dropping down next to him.
"Um, well, I remember telling Michael to just leave it alone."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, he was freaking out about.....nothing." Liz turned and slipped her feet into her flip flops.
"What was he freaking out about, Liz? Maybe this has something to do with what happened after?" Liz's body snapped towards Logan.
"What happened?"
"Um," Logan suddenly felt like he was in front a class room, naked. "How about you just finish telling me what you remember?"
Liz nodded but she wasn't stupid. Something happened and Logan was not gonna tell her until she told him what he wanted to know. Tit for tat. That was how it worked with them. That's how it always worked with them.
"Um, okay. After that I remember Max and Krit moving towards the back, and you, Zack, Syl, and Alec come in at the same time as Max and Isabel did and I remember arguing with them but everything after that is a blur." Liz watched as Logan let out a deep breath and cover his eyes with both hands. "What? What is it?" Logan finally turned to her after 5 minutes of doing nothing.
"Liz, you some how shot green electricty out your hand, hitting Max, Isabel and Michael." Liz gasped. "You literally threw them out after threatening that you would."

Out side the window, Maria sucked in more air than she should've and almost choked. Liz shot something out of her hand. Out of her hand!!! She was one of them. She was an alien now. Maria felt all the air leave her. What was she going to do now that Liz and Tess had something else in common? There was no turning back from this. No way. Maria watched as tears fell from Liz's eyes. Logan pulled her into his arms just as Alec, the brunette she met named Max and two other guys and a blond chick came into the room.
"What happened?" Max asked. She walked over to the other side of the bed and hugged Liz from behind.
Suddenly Maria felt light headed. She was no longer needed in Liz's life. She was..... Maria felt something hit her on the back of her head. Then all she felt was numb.

Tess and Alex tried their best not to move; not to be noticed but it didn't work. Isabel spotted them and hit Max on the arm letting both him and Michael know they were there.
"Oh god." Tess whimpered into Alex's ear. He quickly grabbed her hand letting her know that he was there for her. Tess smiled at him just as the other aliens got to the table.
"Where's Liz?" Max questioned. His face was normal but Alex could see that he was pissed. His fists were in tight balls by his sides and his lips were in a tight line.
"I don't know." Alex told him truthfully.
"You're lying." Michael snapped.
"No, I'm not."
"Yeah you are, cause there is no way that Alex Whittman doesn't know where Liz Parker is." Michael's face was red with anger, as was the face of all the other aliens. Only Tess was mad because they didn't believe her boyfriend.
"He isn't lying. Neither Alex nor I have seen or heard from Liz in two days. Not since what happened with Maria." Tess felt Alex squeeze her hand. He had been so sweet to her, she sometimes thought that she didn't deserve someone so sweet.
"Then where is she?"

White watched as one of his men carried the small blond into the hotel room. It had been so easy to find out where the transgenics were and it was even easier finding the extra X-5.
"What now sir?" His guard asked as he dropped the small blond onto the bed.
"Now we wait."
"But how do you know that the X-5's'll come for her?" The guard shrunk away when White turned his evil eyes on him. "If you don't mind me asking, sir."
"They'll come for her because she is the best friend of the X-5 that I need."

Chapter 25"I don't know where she is, Max. Logan has made it pretty clear that he didn't want anyone upstairs except for him and Maxie." Alex snapped. He was beyond pissed. The Pod Squad had no reason to be pissed or even mad for that matter. They weren't the ones going crazy with worry over Liz. Him and Tess were.
"Logan?" Max asked confused.
"Her brother. You know, the tall guy with the brown hair that is always giving you that look when ever you walk into her." Tess told him. "Or are you so blinded by Liz and Alec that you failed to see her big brother whenever he's around?"
"I-." But he stopped. He was looking at something behind them. Both Alex and Tess turned to see Liz and Logan. Neither were smiling but both looked strong. "Liz?" Max rushed over to Liz but Alec stopped him.
"Touch her and I break that hand of yours." He said with a sly grin. Max snatched his arm fromk Alec's killer grip and Liz had a hard time keeping her face straight.
"Max, what is it?" She asked as Alec wrapped his arms around her.
"Where have you been for the past two days?" He asked nicely but the vein in his neck was visible.
"In my room."
"That's it. In your room?"
"Yeah. What do you want me to say? I wasn't feeling good, so Logan told me that I needed to stay there. What?" Max looked from Alec to Liz.
"Were you alone in your room?"
"No, she wasn't." Alec answered instead of Liz. That's when the vein popped.
"WHAT?!" There weren't alot of customers in the cafe but there were enough to turn and look at them.
"Max, keep your voice down." Tess snapped.
"No!"
"Shut it before I shut it for you." Alec snapped through clenched teeth.
"Alec." Liz purred as she turned in his arms.
"That's my cue to get the hell out of here." Logan joked as he walked to the back where he had to work.
"Don't get so mad over nothing." She gave in a quick kiss before turning back to Max. "Now Max, if u don't want to be tossed out on your ass, you'll shut the hell up and be the fuck quiet."
The Roswellians looked shocked while Logan covered up his smile with his hand.
"Now that's my girl." Alec smirked.

Chapter 26
Liz watched as Max and the others walked from the cafe. Good. If they couldn't handle who she was then screw them. She gave both Alex and Tess a quick run down on what had happened and stood with them until the crashdown closed.
"So you're okay, right?" Alex asked as Liz lead him and Tess towards the front door.
"Yeah she is and if you ask her anymore then I'll go crazy." Krit said from the counter. He and Alec had stayed there while Liz talked to her two friends.
"Why, thank you Krit. You sound just like Alec."
"And that aint a good thing." Maxie said as she wiped down the counter. "No more hanging out for you two."
"You know you like it Maxie. Me and your brother hanging out together." Alec mocked.
"Really Liz, I don't know how you do it." Maxie said. "He is such a pain in the ass."
"But he's my pain in the ass." Liz said before turning back to Alex and Tess. "I'll see you both tomorrow, okay?"
"You promise?" Tess asked. She sounded a little scared.
"Of course." Liz pulled her into a hug. "I promise."
"Okay." Tess was the first to pull away. "We'll see you tomorrow." Then they were gone.
"Finally." Alec said as he walked over to Liz. "Now I can have you all to myself."
"Except we still need to know how Liz did what she did and what Isabel really is." Zack demanded.
"I thought he would forget." Liz whispered to Alec.
"We never do." He said as he gave her a quick kiss on her fore head.
"Okay, where to start?" Liz said as she moved to stand in front of Alec.
"The beginnng." Syl said as she, Max, Zack and Krit all sat down on any seat next to them.
"Okay. Here you go. A year ago I was shot in the stomach and Max brought me back......"

Maria sat in the small cell wishing to all that was holy that someone one would notice that she was gone. But with what was happening with Liz, all eyes would be on her and no one would even notice her gone. Damn. What a time to go against your best friend? She thought to herself. She ran her manicured fingers through her long blond hair. Then it hit her. Isabel. Maybe Isabel would dream walk her. She had to get to sleep.

"And that is that." Liz said an hour later. She had explained everything the best way she could, leaving out nothing.
"Wow. I knew you were different but I didn't know you were that different." Krit said.
"Different. I'm not different. I mean yeah i have powers but that's just an advancement in my human mind." Liz said. Then the door opened making all the trangeniecs stiffen. "We're closed."
"Actually 716. You are very different." They all turned to see Lydecker standing in the door with two burly men behind him.
