I'm lost in the rhythm of it all when I hear my name between strokes, and I stop to see Max standing on the side of the pool, and all the thoughts I was trying to swim away come crashing back. But he’s standing there, hands stuffed into his pockets, and it makes me smile. “Hi,” I say as I try to catch my breath—not quite sure if it’s from swimming or just . . . Max. “Good morning. And I’m sorry, but I didn’t catch what you said.”

"Um," I say, trying to force my brain to keep working. God, she's so beautiful.

"The pancakes are ready. Alex said he was making them for you," I manage to say. After that, my brain slows down and I just stand there smiling at her. What should happen next? I go inside again? I wait for her? Maybe she's not done. I don't want to rush her or anything. I'm sure we can save a few for later, if she's not ready.

"They're really good," I manage.

“They’re really good,” he adds as I rest my arms over the side of the pool.

“In that case I better get them before they get cold.” I let go of the wall and walk over to the stairs to get out. As soon as I’m stepping out of the water, Max is standing there wrapping me in the towel that I had set aside.

“Thanks,” I say as I grab the ends of the towel with my left hand to hold it up while I squeeze some excess water out of my hair. Arranging the towel around me, I look up and smile at Max, a little nervous, and hope he doesn’t notice. “Pancakes?” I ask to divert my attention away from just how close he’s standing to me.

God, she looks great. I feel like moth hovering around a flame. I know I shouldn't be here, but I can't seem to back off. I want to be here. I want to wrap my arms around her, just like that towel. How can watching her squeeze water from her hair seem so sensual?

"Pancakes?" she asks and I nod, stepping back slightly.

"Yeah," I say, artlessly. I turn and start walking towards the kitchen with her. "You're having a good morning?" I ask, hoping that she's no longer thinking about leaving the show. I can't explain why, but I need her here...

Almost finished with the next round of pancakes, I allow myself to let my concentration wander to Max and Liz outside. They are standing pretty close together, I must say.

They certainly make a nice couple.

I frown slightly at that thought, wondering where it came from. Sure, I know that Liz likes Max a lot but right now, Max is still with Tess. Quickly looking to the entrance to the kitchen I sigh in relief that Tess is not standing there, seeing Max and Liz like that. That might have been weird.

Turning back to the oven, I am really curious to see how the two will react in the next minutes.

“Yeah,” he replies and I continue to try dry off as much as I can before we get inside. “You’re having a good morning?” The only indication that it was a question and not a statement was the soft lilt in his voice at the end.

I nod before answering, “Pretty good. Pancakes are always a nice way to start the day. Especially good ones,” I add as we continue walking towards the kitchen. “How’s your morning shaping up? It’s still early, didn’t sleep in?”

I haven't spoken to Bre for a couple of days. She has a lot of things going on in her life at the moment.

The last time we did talk about this roleplay she said that she did want to carry on playing Maria. If I get to talk to her before I leave on Thursday then I'll ask her again.
