"Hey....its Max.... I am about to open my mouth to give him a piece of my mind when he continues "Sorry....if I woke you or..or anything..." he apologises and I feel a little guilty,he is my best bud after all
I contemplate telling him that I had barely gone to sleep since I got home like forty five minutes ago but refrain from doing so.He'll probably want to know what I was doing out so late by myself and then I won't be able to lie very well.
He rattles off before I can get my bearings straight,"Look Im not gonna beat about the bush. I was going to tell you something yesterday...last night. You remember we were out in the parking lot...erm...well...I...I asked Liz if she wanted to go to the cinema with me today. Thats why I freaked out bout Zan. I did what you told me to do and now look. He's still not in. So he's still out there somewhere with her! Zan and Liz!"
"Wooahh...calm down." I manage to get in
"Sorry I just...havent slept."
"Nor have I." I mumble "Ranting on like that Maxwell isn't going to get you anywhere...and stop jumping to conclusions.How can you be so sure that they are indeed together?"

"Because they are! He never came home last night, and I just KNOW that they're together. Hell God knows what they're doing..." I moan. "I just can't believe Zan never even told me. Or that he would tell me he's gonna ask her or anything. I mean I know I didn't do anything about it but EVERYONE knows I like her unfortunitely. But he could have said something couldn't he? Don't I deserve that?" I ask.
I sigh. "Clearly he doesn't give a damn. And now they're going to be together, cos its not like today is a date or anything....in fact I bet she doesn't turn up. She'll forget all about it cos she'll be out with her new boyfriend."
I hit my hand on the table hard. Im so...well...pissed off. "So yeah anyway, thanks for the advice. Now I get to be stood up AS WELL as seeing them together"

I listen to him raging on and on about Zan having stolen his dream girl and I yawn a dozen times in between,"Clearly he doesn't give a damn. And now they're going to be together, cos its not like today is a date or anything....in fact I bet she doesn't turn up. She'll forget all about it cos she'll be out with her new boyfriend."
There comes some banging noise over the phone and I realise he is banging his head against the wall.What the hell is wrong with him?No wonder Zan gets all the girls.Max just rolls over in defeat.

Shit...he's really giving me a migrain now.Max can just go on and on and on.He loves wallowing in self pity,it's like quicksand for him,he keeps pulling himself back in.I rub my temples with my free hand and then my eyes which are starting to twitch out of tiredness.
