"I'm glad I could be here," I return, giving his hand a squeeze. We sat in silence for a little while; I took comfort in his presence as well as his words. He cared about me too, a lot. A feeling of elation ran through me at the thought.

"Do you know how you're going to help him?" I asked after a pause.

"Somehting like that" I replied smiling "he can be a little over-protective at times and especially after Victor,he just wants to meet you.He's 18 but you'd think he's 30 the way he behaves." I laughed thinking of Ian

"I dont' really know how I can help him but I'll be there for him if he wants me to back him up." I replied quietly

After a while it struck me that it wsn't fair to Tess to keep me company and she was probably getting bored,so I got up and said "Come on...the night's still young and you owe me a dance young lady."

I gave Alex a whack on the arm "you have no reason whatsoever to be intimidated you mad man...I'm sure he'll love you just like I do,just be your natural charming self.Ian has a great sense of humour so I'm sure you two will get along" I tried to re-assure him
