OOC: Borrowing Justin a little bit. And since no one's really around to play him and Xan is stuck alone with him, then after this post we'll just be sitting here, waiting for Max's return. Unless something else comes up.
Alexander
My father left the room, leaving Justin and me alone. "Hmm, not bad," I said, scanning the boy up and down. "Good enough to attract a few ladies, I think."
Poor kid. He was terrified. But he was taking it pretty well, considering aliens had never existed in his world before- until now. He could still laugh and all, which was a relief.
"Excited about the party?" I asked, trying to keep some conversation going.
"Not really," he said, wrinkling his nose. "No one there is gonna be my age, right?"
"Hmm. I have no idea, Justin," I said truthfully. "We'll just have to, well, wait and see, I guess."

Nickimlow, You guys can decide not to wait on 'dad' if you like.

Crossing the hall, I enter the room I'd shared with Liz last night. "Knock knock," I say gently as I walk through the door. "Hello girls."
What I see takes my breath away. Sarah and Liz are both there wearing new gowns for the ball. I barely notice Sarah's dress, which is still being adjusted by a woman who is undoubtably the tailor promised to help the girls with their outfits. My attention is entirely captured by Liz in a brilliant deep red gown that would look amazing on this world or on Earth -- if she were attending something incredibly formal.
"You look amazing!" I tell her, when I catch my breath. I step towards her, drinking in her appearance. I reach out, running a finger lightly down her bare arm before raising my eyes to meet her gaze again. I lean forward for a kiss that's gentle but, mindful of the tailor with Sarah, it's not as deep or long as I'd like.
*Did you get a chance to talk to Sarah?* I inquire, silently.

OOC: hope this is okay for everyone, sorry for the delay, I know I'm playing catch up sort of, yet again :-S sorry...

Our Senior Prom… It wasn’t exactly the night I had imagined… If possible, it was better…
Xan had already been back for over a month, and Max and I had kinda settled into a routine… I hadn’t been going to even have a new dress for the Prom, deciding to save my money for more important things, but mom and dad decided otherwise…
Mom had taken me out shopping the week before, and for one day, all the disapproval she and dad showed regarding my decision to still be with Max seemed to vanish… I had a great day, and I found the most gorgeous dress I could imagine…
The morning before the Prom I had spent over at Max’s house… We didn’t do anything much, just talked and sat around… It was great though, the two of us…well no, the three of us… Xan was there as well of course, and somehow, it just felt right…
We had a great evening too…and well the ending…it was like nothing I could have imagined…
I smile softly but am brought out of my thoughts as I hear Max’s voice in my head. He sounds concerned… *Of course, I’ll see what I can do…* I respond in like. I want to ask about the boys, needing reassurance that they’re alright too, but before I can, the door to our room opens and Sarah steps through, greeting me. I smile and walk over to her, pulling her into my arms for a moment. “Hey sweetheart…did you have a nice walk…?” I ask softly.
I intend to try and talk to her, but that attempt is halted at least temporarily as the dressmaker indicates that we have to hurry. She’s practically finished with my dress, leaving me simply to deal with hair, make-up and any jewelry…
I show Sarah how to fit the translator, waiting until I can see it’s working, and then watch my daughter carefully for a moment, hardly missing the signs of the upset Max mentioned. I want to talk to her, obviously, but I do not think that now is the time…
Instead, I content myself with telling her she’s going to look beautiful, and turning my attention to ‘applying’ a little make-up using my powers. I’m nowhere near as practiced at this as Isabel would be, but then I rarely wear much, and I certainly wouldn’t usually be using my powers… For now however, I don’t exactly have any alternative…
I’m just about to deal with my hair, when there comes a knock on the door, followed by a familiar voice as it opens. I smile as the figure of my husband comes into view. After all these years, it will never fail to make me smile… I think I love him more now than the day we married if that is possible…
“You look amazing…” He states, stepping towards me and reaching out, running his hand down my bare arm.
I look up into his eyes and smiling, I drop something of a curtsey. “Why thank you kind sir…I’m glad you approve…” I respond softly, my eyes never leaving his as I rise once more.
He leans forward, and a moment later his lips are pressing against mine. I allow myself to kiss him back for a moment, but it has to be brief given that we are not exactly alone.
*Did you get a chance to talk to Sarah…?* He asks me, but I have to shake my head.
*No…not yet, I tried, but the dressmaker needed her straight away…* I look up at him. *I think she’s just a little unsettled…a lot’s happened…* I bite my lip and shake my head again. I don’t like seeing her like this… *How are the boys…?*

I take Liz's hand in mine as I turn to face Sarah, deciding to answer Liz's question aloud for both of them. "Xan and Justin are all dressed and ready to go. Since you two lovely ladies are also about done, I guess I better hurry and get dressed, too." I give Liz a wink at that.
Spotting the clothing that was left for me, I give Liz's hand a gentle squeeze and then drop it so I can go scoop up the garments. I pass by Sarah, leaning close to give her a little kiss on the cheek, earning some mild scolding from the dressmaker as she warns me not to get in the way since time is short.
"You look lovely, Sarah," I tell her as I step into the bathroom to dress myself. It only takes a minute to put everything on and adjust the fit. Now for the color. With a smile, I decide on a deep red that matches Liz's dress. Something with a little silver piping around the edges and some silver threads throughout to make it shine.
It looks pretty good, I think, although Xan and Justin might not agree. It's still alien to them, but I'm feeling something familiar about it. I know I've worn clothing like this often before, but I was a different person then, with a different face. I should have found an image of myself while I was in the library. Well, I suppose there will be time for that. There may even be portraits around, if Khivar hadn't destroyed them all...
I'm admiring the effect in the mirror when the door opens and Liz looks in on me. "Hey sweetie, What do you think?" I ask, as I turn my attention back to the mirror so I can use my powers to comb my hair.
Looking at the image there, I'm once again struck by the impression that something's missing. It seems even stronger now than when I was looking at Xan. It needs -- I don't know. A sash? A medallion? A hat? Something... Suddenly, I realize what's missing. A coronet or a crown in my hair and yes, something with the royal seal on it. But it's not my court today. Today, I'm just a guest of Xadalyn's.
Here's what Max and the boys are wearing, but a little more 'fitted' and shorter sleeves on the tunic. (and the boys have different colors.
)

And this is Liz's dress -- but with a bigger scarf and all in ruby red.

OOC: Okay, I'll give it a try now, borrowing Justin again
By the way, the clothes are nice
Alexander
We sat for a while, Justin looking extremely bored. The poor guy was probably homesick, if he had overcome the fear.
I stood up and walked over to the window, looking out of it again. Colourful flowers, blue grass, purple skies . . . it was the image of paradise. But what lay beyond the castle grounds? What were the commoners like, how did their houses look, what did they do for a living?
"Hey Justin," I said after a while, turning around. "How about we go to the banquet ahead of my dad? No point sitting around blankly here."
When Justin got up, looking eager to do something (or rather, anything), I communicated telepathically with my father. It took a little while to find him, but when I did, it was easy. I was getting the hang of it. Would I find my real powers as simple to learn? I shuddered to even think of it.
Dad, Justin and I are heading over to the - what's it? - Great Hall? - first, if that's okay with you, I sent to him as I walked over to the door. You said it should be just downstairs, right?

OOC -- Sorry, for holding you up, Nicole. I was hoping for a Liz post but I guess that's not happening.
*Max*
I finish fixing up my hair but Liz still hasn't answered me. I guess she doesn't like the outfit. I shrug inwardly since there's not much I can do about the style. We have more colors available, but like on Earth, the actual styles for guys are a bit more limited.
"Do want another color?" I ask, trying to guess what she's thinking.
Just then, I hear from Alexander. *Dad, Justin and I are heading over to the - what's it? - Great Hall? - first, if that's okay with you. You said it should be just downstairs, right?* He's really gotten good at the telepathy in a short while. He seems to be quite comfortable with it.
*That's right,* I answer him. *It will be to the left at the bottom of the stairs. But I'm pretty much done here. I can go with you.*

OOC: I hope this works, I'm really sorry Isabelle, and Nicole

While Max disappears into the bathroom to change, I turn my attention to my hair, choosing a style that I’ve used many times and never had complaint, fixing it up, but leaving a few loose sections which I use my powers to curl. The overall effect I’m pretty happy with, and I check myself over once more in the mirror before picking up the scarf which completes my outfit and stepping into the matching shoes.
Once I’m done, I walk over and, leaving Sarah with the dressmaker, push open the door to the bathroom slightly and peek in. The sight which meets me is something quite surprising… I’ve never seen Max in anything like that outfit, and yet I can’t believe how ‘right’ he looks to some extent… I can’t completely understand it, but maybe it’s just the way he seems to ‘know’ how to wear it…
“Do you want another colour…?”
Max’s voice breaks into my thoughts and I realise that I spaced there for a moment. I quickly shake my head and appologise. “I’m sorry…I guess there’s a hundred and one things going on in my head at the moment…” I admit softly, assuring him that he looks great. Of course to me he’d probably look great in anything, just from the fact that he’s himself, but I won’t say that, and I do mean it anyway.
I lean over to brush my lips againt his. “The colour is fine…and the style suits you…” I tell him smiling and hoping my lapse isn’t going to upset him too much.

~*~Sarah~*~
I watch my mother in action when the dress maker was fixing her outfit. As soon as she was done with my mother it was my turn. My said put a hearing aid so the dress maker could understand me and I could understand her so I did.
The dress maker hand me my dress and I took off my clothes and put on my dress. I don’t really like it, it looks really old and funny something I would never wear on earth.
She uses her power on me to fix the dress and I don’t really want her to do that. I was it normal, well normal way is using no powers and do it the hard way. But I'm sure they won’t understand that. So I just let her. "What color?" Hem? What color? Well my favorite color always been pink.” Pink" she nods and change my dress to the color I wanted.
I step in front of the mirror and looked at myself. Its quit different I would never wear something like this on earth.
Right when I was done, my father walk in, he comment on the way I look and I smile. The dress maker fixing my hair, she is putting it up in curls. What with curly hair on this planet? was it some sort of custom? I guess so, but I do like curly hair and I think I looked good.
My mother left me to go to my father in the bathroom, and I put on my shoes. And I stand up, right when I take a good look on my self I heard a knock on my door" I will get it." I told the dress maker.
I walk to the door and open it, It was Justin and my brother Xan" Hi......mom and dad not ready yet, but you can come in" They walk in and I close the door.
I wonder if I will have fun, I doubt it, beside i don't really want to go. I'm only doing this for Xan and my father.

"Not bad, little sis," I said, seeing Sarah's pink dress. I walked into the room, Justin trailing behind me. "Where are Mom and Dad?"
I noticed a lady standing around and I guessed that she was there to fix the dresses. Well, she'd done a good enough job on Sarah's.
Why did the ladies get to wear nice-looking clothes? Or at least, normal-looking . . . I felt so self-conscious in what I was wearing. Well, at least I wasn't the only one.
. . . right?
