Summary: EOTW again. But instead of following Future Max's desperate pleas she tells Max everything and they run off away from Destiny and away from the frightening future.

They climbed sleepily out of the jeep and into the little motel room they were spending the night in. After Liz came to him telling him about a awful future and what his future self was begging her to do they came to an agreement to flee Roswell. Max could never be with Tess like Future Max needed him to and Liz couldn't break his heart either so here they were after driven furiously for fifteen hours straight in shifts, they were a few hours away from New York and they were both resting up. They had cleared all the money they had saved up and tapped into funds that their parents had raised for them and they had enough to buy a decent place.
Liz crashed on the bed and Max wasn't far behind her, he locked the door with the dead bolt and alien style before staggering over and falling down asleep next to her.

Liz woke up to find Max staring at her mesmerised, he smiled softly when she opened her eyes
"Hey" he grinned as his hands came up to wind in her hair
"Hey" she replied softly "We did it"
"Yeah we did. I never thought... I didn't think that one day I would be here with you. Trying to make a life" she nodded then frowned
"They'll try to find us, try and bring us back" she said and he lost his grin too. He knew as much as she did, the group would drag them back kicking and screaming. He couldn't let that happen
"Don't worry Liz I won't let that happen. I guess we'll have to change our names and appearance when we get to New York... it would be..."
"What?"
"It would be easier to hide if we were... well if we were married, they wouldn't be looking for a happily married couple would they?"
"Are you asking me to marry you?"
"I want to be with you. We're in this together and this is definitely for the long haul. I love you Liz I always have, will you marry me?"
"Yes I will but we can't have our names on the papers because then they'll check our ages"
"You're right. So who do you want to be?" he asked
"Sandy Antaris" she said "And you can be my husband... Jack"
"Jack Antaris I like it... so Sandy, how about we find a little chapel and tie the knott?"
"I'm game if you are" she said as she pulled him close and kissed him softly.

"Hello Tess" he said as he wandered toward the park
"Max?" she looked up surprised but it was an all an act
"I thought I'd find you here. My plan worked, I should have known that Max and Liz would never do anything to betray themselves like that"
"Max what are you talking about?"
"Tess give the act up. I know all about the deal Nasedo made with Kivar forty years ago and I know what you've been doing to Alex and I'm here to tell you it's got to stop"
"I don't know what you're talking about" she said then closed her eyes and tried to Mindwarp him, she got in but the assault of the visions threw her out. This was certainly not the Max she knew, this was the King of Antar in all his glory.
"Mindwarping won't work on me Tess. I'm too strong for you, I'm telling you this for your sake before things go too far. You do have a Destiny out there but it's not me, follow your heart before you lead yourself to your own demise. Kyle's your saviour, I wouldn't believe it myself but he can save you from your own destruction"
"Why are you telling me if you know I've betrayed you?"
"Because I believe everyone has a chance to change, this is yours. What you do now will make or break your life"
"So you're saying I'm meant to be with... Kyle?"
"Yes, he's been waiting for you for a long time. Can you break the alien cycle and love a human?"
"Human's a weak" she replied angrily
"Tess you're not fully alien. You're big on embracing your alien side, why don't you say hello to your human side? You might like it, you are more human than alien after all. The only thing alien is our blood" he said before walking away. She thought about it for a moment then looked up
"Max?" she called out but he was no where in sight. She stood up and pulled her coat around her, she hurried through the park to the exit near the Valenti homestead. She would go home... and think it over.

Sandy and Jack jogged down the steps, she was wearing a simple white dress and had white roses in her hair. He was dressed in a smart tux and he had the biggest grin on his face.
"Mrs Antaris" he said pulling her close giving her a quick kiss that left her hungry. She climbed into the Jeep and he got in the drivers seat and they sped off towards their little comfy bungalow just outside of the city, today they had got married and they felt free. They had no idea how bad things were going to get...

There was a loud knock at the door and Liz looked up from one of the boxes and glanced at Max in the kitchen putting the pans away. He walked out into the hall to stand next to her as she moved to the door. He stood there defensively as she opened the door and sighed with relief to find some women with long blonde hair standing there
"Welcome to the neighbourhood. I'm Karen, I live just across from you, I made you this pie"
"Thanks I'm Sandy and this is my husband Jack" she said
"Nice to meet you" she replied as she handed the pie to Jack "So are you newly weds?"
"Yeah, we're only been married for a few weeks but it feels like a life time" she said as he pulled her close and wrapped his arms around her.
"If you need anything you can just pop over any time" she said then waved good bye as she headed back to her house
"I sensed something" said Liz "I'm still getting used to this whole aliens thing. I had no idea this was going to happen"
"If it did when we were back in... the Capital of Czechoslovakia would you have stayed?" he asked as he shut the door
"I don't know. Who knows what would have happened?"
"Maybe we shouldn't talk about this, this is like those neighbourhoods where everyone does yard sales together and bakes cookies and has book clubs. I don't want them to know, but if... the enemies do come I want to be ready. Max teach me how to use my powers, we have to find somewhere to practice"
"I'll look in to renting some warehouses or something" he said "Or we'll go to the country and practice there"
"Okay" she said as she turned back to the box and gasped at what she saw "Max this is..."
"Yeah the orb we found. On the night we decided to actually be a proper couple, to let everyone know"
"Oh my god Max!" she gasped pulling him close, he slid his blue shirt down over her shoulders and began kissing and nipping her soft skin
"God I want you" he growled then the doorbell rang "Ignore it"
"Max Oh god... I have to get the door!" she said pulled away from him. She brushed her now short hair back as she opened the door, it was a young lady with brown hair curves in all the right places and piercing green eyes
"Hi I'm Kandi with a K, welcome to the neighbourhood" she said squeakily, she made Stacey Scheinin and Mickey Mouse sound like Barry White
"Hello Kandi with a K I'm Sandy with a Y"
"As in Y are you here?" muttered Max from behind the door. He focused and began to touch her with his mind, he caressed her arm. Made it feel like his fingertips were sliding down her arm
"Are you... living alone?" she asked trying to peer past her new neighbour. Max stuck his head around the door and smiled
"Hi I'm Jack Sandy's husband" he said
"Well hello Jack" she said huskily and he went cold.
"Sandy umm remember the thing with the thing that we had to do"
"Yeah? On the stairs?" she asked and he nodded
"Yes the thing with the bottom step. It's broken, we have to fix it. Right now, we'll be seeing you Kandi with an I"
"It's with a K!" she said but the door slammed shut in her face and she fumed. There was a loud thump up against the door and she scowled then stormed off furious.
Karen just watched from her porch, Kandi had always been a real pain she had caused the break up of her marriage and she was glad to see her put in her place. She had a feeling that this couple were in for the long haul, Jack seemed so devoted to Sandy
"Didn't like your pie?" she called out and Kandi glared at her.

"Dear Journal or Diary or whatever. It's been almost two months since Max and Liz ran off together. I'm pretty sure what they did and I know she wasn't pregnant. There are no leads and the police can't find anything, I'm not surprised because when Max and Liz want to disappear they can do it. The only person who seems to know anything about it all is Tess and she's refusing to talk about it, she just says that Max is fine and he had to go she doesn't know about Liz.
Things have been strange to say the least, Tess and Kyle are dating and all around school there's whispers and rumours of engagement. Tess just dropped Max instantly, whatever his leaving did to her it was monumental. Liz however... I've had her journal. I managed to find it before her parents did, they can't know about the alien stuff. She brought me into this secret and she kept it, she promised to for as long as she lived and I plan to do the same. I'm afraid... I'm afraid that something happened to Liz. She was barely writing and there was all this jumble about a war and how they had to leave to save everyone. I haven't talked to the others about this because I know what it will sound like, they've gone to Antar. They've left the planet to stop a war and while I feel great sadness that they've gone I feel so proud of their nobility, their selfless acts for a race they know so little about..."
"Maria are you writing in that damn book again!" shouted Michael "We're all waiting for you! There were some spottings of them out near Kansas way"
"I'm not goind to Kansas!" she snapped
"Maria it's Liz and Max! What if they're waiting for us"
"Because I don't think they're in Kansas Michael"
"Why? Do you know something? Have they contacted you?"
"No they haven't... I read the last entry in Liz's journal. I got it before her parents found it don't worry, there was all this babble about a war, she was writing so fast I could barely read it. She said there was a war and they had to go to save everyone... Michael I think they went" she pointed up with her finger and he looked up
"No! Max wouldn't leave without me and Isabel and how will they even know if Liz can survive up there?"
"They're not on Antar and they're not in Kansas" said Tess from the doorway
"How would you know?" hissed Michael
"Max called me and asked me to get the Orb from his room. He wanted me to send it to New York. Max and Liz are in New York"
"Okay then we're going to New York"
"No Michael! I can't let you do that!" said Tess as she stopped him
"Why not?"
"Because we'll all die. Max told me that if we go to New York and if he sees me or Liz sees Kyle then the world will end"
"That's crazy" laughed Michael
"People think the idea of aliens is crazy Michael yet here we are! I'm happy for the first time in my life and from the sounds of Max I swear he was happy too, they don't want to be found and I don't want to find them. Max told me to be with Kyle, he said that I had been embracing my alien side for far too long and it was time to embrace my human side, this is what I'm doing. I've even cut down on my powers! Stop looking for them they don't want to come back"
"I don't care. We need them, it's not right without Max he's the..." she stopped when she glared at him
"He's the what Michael? The king? Well that's where you've got it all wrong, Max and Liz are just regular Antarian Hybrids now. Max forfeited his crown and claim to the throne. If I commit myself fully to Kyle when we get married then he will become King of Antar"
"No" he said fiercely "No humans shall rule Antar. You've gotten weak"
"I've gotten strong! I was weak before but now I'm stronger, I've got you shaking. As far as anyone is concerned I'm human!" she shouted before storming off. Michael looked to Maria who was deep in thought. Tess said Max and Liz were Antarian Hybrids, was Liz like them now?

Kandi watched as Liz drove off in their blue sedan and smirked. That yummy scrummy guy was all by his lonesome. She looked down checking her shirt and smiled satisfactorily before opening the door and heading over across the road with the basket of cookies she had made. Karen watched from the window as she started the game for Jack Antaris, she wanted to see this so she sat out on her porch.

Max was talking to Tess online, she was telling them all about the Roswell Gang.
"Max Michael knows you're in New York. He tried to get us to go to you"
"What happened?"
"We refused. Max I want to tell Maria. She read Liz's journal, she thinks you left for Antar"
"Tess it's up to you and Kyle now"
"Not just us Max. Even though you decreed that I could choose the new King you still hold all the power... Kyle's still human, Antar will never accept him"
"Tess Kyle is... something will happen to him. Because he was healed"
"What do you mean something will happen? Is Liz okay?"
"Yes she's fine. I'm teaching her to control her new powers, she's developing powers" he said then there was a thump on the door "I've got to go someone's at the door"
"Max be careful"
"I will. Love you Tess, give my love to Kyle and the others"
"Will do. Love you too Max" she said and hung up. He put the phone down and headed to the front door. He opened to see Kandi standing there in a very thin white spaghetti top and cut offs carrying a basket with cookies in it
"Can I come in? I brought cookies" she said and he nodded
"Sure come on" he said and let her in. She entered and shut the door behind her with a smirk on her face, this was too easy.

Liz was stuck in traffic and it was hot. She groaned as a droplet of sweat slid down her lip, she put her hand over the air conditioning and focused, a stream of cold air flew out soothing her and she sighed, some times alien powers came in really handy. She had gone out to try and find some empty warehouses she could rent for power practice, she was looking round when she spotted someone and her heart stopped. The person was looking round until her eyes landed on Liz. They were the same blue eyes she remembered and the girl walked forward before she stopped. Liz slid from the car and just walked across the busy jammed up road towards the girl standing there
"What are you doing here?" Liz demanded
"Who da hell are you?" replied the girl "Are ya a skin?"
"Tess? What are you talking about and what are you doing in New York?"
"I dunno who ya are but me name aint Tess cornball it's Ava. Now I asked who da hell are you?"
"Is this bitch bothering you Ava?" asked a gruff looking version of Michael with a mohawk. It was obvious that he couldn't sense Liz like Ava could
"No beat it Rath, I'm tryin ta score" she said and Rath just guffawed as he walked off "Let's get out of here to talk in a more private place" she suggested and Liz nodded.

Kyle was rocking back and forth with his arms wrapped around his knees when Tess him
"What's wrong?" she asked as she moved towards him. He lifted his hands to show her the blue and white electrical streaks coursing over his skin "It's happened. It's time"
"What do you mean it's time? What's happening to me?"
"Kyle you know I'm Queen right... of my planet and I can only give myself over to a King. Max renounced the thrown so we could be together but our first time... it made you King of Antar"
"So this is because of you? You're turning me into an alien?"
"No, no that's not what this is. This is side effects of the healing, Liz has it too. Don't worry it's okay" she said trying to sooth him
"How can I get rid of it?"
"You can't Kyle, it can't be fixed, this is permanant" she told him and he looked away shaking his head trying to avoid from crying
"It hurts Tess. This is painful, and there's no way to fix it?"
"The healing stones could channel the energy correctly either that or the Orbs. Kyle even though Max gave up his claim to be the King that doesnt change his blood. We're all connected now we've formed a new Royal Four. You, me, Max and Liz"
"What about the others? Don't they have a say in this? They're alien too, Isabel is Max's sister!"
"Connect with me. Please, be apart of this. Save me" she whispered "Please save me. Don't turn away from this, it's meant to happen. I don't want everyone to die, I don't want to die" she said as she held out her hand... He stared at her for a few minutes before he reached out and took her hand. Light passed from her hand and over his body as he accepted what she had secretly given him. They both sat there glowing softly as the Royal Four came into being.

Max turned and saw Kandi bending over to pick up one of the napkins she had 'dropped' she stood up and saw that Jack wasn't even looking at her, she marched over to him and then gasped as light travelled through him. He seemed to be in a state of extreme euphoria, his hands were gripping the counter and for a moment his eyes flashed from amber brown to piercing blue. Then the light was gone, he touched the spot over his heart where he knew the Vee Symbol lied and he grinned.
"What the hell was what?" demanded Kandi and he turned to see her standing there in horror "You were glowing!"

"Will do. Love you too Max" she said and hung up. He put the phone down and headed to the front door. He opened to see Kandi standing there in a very thin white spaghetti top and cut offs carrying a basket with cookies in it
"Can I come in? I brought cookies" she said and he nodded
"Sure come on" he said and let her in. She entered and shut the door behind her with a smirk on her face, this was too easy.

Liz was stuck in traffic and it was hot. She groaned as a droplet of sweat slid down her lip, she put her hand over the air conditioning and focused, a stream of cold air flew out soothing her and she sighed, some times alien powers came in really handy. She had gone out to try and find some empty warehouses she could rent for power practice, she was looking round when she spotted someone and her heart stopped. The person was looking round until her eyes landed on Liz. They were the same blue eyes she remembered and the girl walked forward before she stopped. Liz slid from the car and just walked across the busy jammed up road towards the girl standing there
"What are you doing here?" Liz demanded
"Who da hell are you?" replied the girl "Are ya a skin?"
"Tess? What are you talking about and what are you doing in New York?"
"I dunno who ya are but me name aint Tess cornball it's Ava. Now I asked who da hell are you?"
"Is this bitch bothering you Ava?" asked a gruff looking version of Michael with a mohawk. It was obvious that he couldn't sense Liz like Ava could
"No beat it Rath, I'm tryin ta score" she said and Rath just guffawed as he walked off "Let's get out of here to talk in a more private place" she suggested and Liz nodded.

Kyle was rocking back and forth with his arms wrapped around his knees when Tess him
"What's wrong?" she asked as she moved towards him. He lifted his hands to show her the blue and white electrical streaks coursing over his skin "It's happened. It's time"
"What do you mean it's time? What's happening to me?"
"Kyle you know I'm Queen right... of my planet and I can only give myself over to a King. Max renounced the thrown so we could be together but our first time... it made you King of Antar"
"So this is because of you? You're turning me into an alien?"
"No, no that's not what this is. This is side effects of the healing, Liz has it too. Don't worry it's okay" she said trying to sooth him
"How can I get rid of it?"
"You can't Kyle, it can't be fixed, this is permanant" she told him and he looked away shaking his head trying to avoid from crying
"It hurts Tess. This is painful, and there's no way to fix it?"
"The healing stones could channel the energy correctly either that or the Orbs. Kyle even though Max gave up his claim to be the King that doesnt change his blood. We're all connected now we've formed a new Royal Four. You, me, Max and Liz"
"What about the others? Don't they have a say in this? They're alien too, Isabel is Max's sister!"
"Connect with me. Please, be apart of this. Save me" she whispered "Please save me. Don't turn away from this, it's meant to happen. I don't want everyone to die, I don't want to die" she said as she held out her hand... He stared at her for a few minutes before he reached out and took her hand. Light passed from her hand and over his body as he accepted what she had secretly given him. They both sat there glowing softly as the Royal Four came into being.

Max turned and saw Kandi bending over to pick up one of the napkins she had 'dropped' she stood up and saw that Jack wasn't even looking at her, she marched over to him and then gasped as light travelled through him. He seemed to be in a state of extreme euphoria, his hands were gripping the counter and for a moment his eyes flashed from amber brown to piercing blue. Then the light was gone, he touched the spot over his heart where he knew the Vee Symbol lied and he grinned.
"What the hell was what?" demanded Kandi and he turned to see her standing there in horror "You were glowing!"

"Kandi look at me" he said and their eyes locked, her green eyes went still as she stared at him. He closed his eyes as he kept hold of the connection and began to Mindwarp her. It was as natural to him as throwing out his shield. He opened his eyes and she was looking around confused
"Jack? What am I doing here?" she asked when the door opened and Sandy was back. Kandi cursed her luck, she must have come over to get him in bed, she had brought storebought cookies after all. That always got her in
"M...Jack? Is everything okay?" asked Liz glancing at Kandi who was glaring at the girl behind her. Ava didn't back down under Kandi's evil stares
"Yeah Kandi brought us a basket of cookies over. I think she wanted something?" he said and they all stared at her till she blushed and shook her head
"No, no it was nothing. I forgot what it was" she said "I'll stop bye late Jack" she said nodding like she was in on some big secret. When the door shut Liz turned to Max
"What did she want?"
"She was trying to get into my pants" he said tersely
"And you let her in?" she quipped
"She's been passed around more times than the soap! You really think I want her when I have you?" he said "It's always been you Liz"
"Ahem" coughed Ava
"So you're Zan's dupe. I can say that this has never happened before"

"The King and Queen Unit" she replied as she made herself comfy on a counter "I need your help"

"There were two sets of the Royal Four made. The real deal, which was you, and then the back up copy which was us. There was a summit coming up but our set's leader Zan, who looked like you, was killed. Rath and Lonnie killed him they were going to try and get you to take his place"
"I'm sorry... did you and Zan?"
"We were close but not as tight as you and ya bitch... sorry Royal Bitch" she corrected herself but Liz just chuckled "Any way there's been a shift in the balance and I felt it because I'm the back up to your Ava. You've become a King and Queen Unit, two queens and two kings ruling equally. You trust each other so much that you can rule and exist all together. But the thing is me, I'm a fifth wheel. I want out of my set, I don't want to be around Rath or Lonnie anymore, not after what they did to Zan" she said looking away "You see a there's a King and Queen, you're going to need protectors and adivisors. So you're gonna need a protector unit, about four people, two people mentally powerful two physically powerful then there are advisor units you only need two of them a boy and a girl"
"Alex and Isabel" whispered Liz "I can see this out... I can see who is working out. Alex and Isabel can be the Advisor Unit and Michael, Maria and Ava can be the Protector Unit"
"There's only one problem, we need a fourth" said Ave
"Two problems Ava. Maria is human"
"Has she connected to you, this Michael guy or Liz?" she asked
"I don't know. We've only based the connection on intense emotions like fear and love" he said sideways glancing at his wife.
"Stop that! Has she ever gotten flashes?"
"Yeah she has. From Michael, Michael gave her flashes"
"Good, she's connected all she needs now is to be accepted by the King and Queen or in this case The Royal Unit" said Ava "I'll help you all through it in return for getting me away from Rath and Lonnie, I'm afraid they'll hurt me"
"Do you want to stay here tonight?" asked Max
"Can I?" she asked and he nodded "On one condition, you loose some of the punk clothes. I don't think it will go down too well around here"
"Oh thank god. I'm sick of short hair," she said and waved her hand over her hair turning it from white blonde with pink streaks into soft gold locks that rained down her back. She cleaned her face up and smiled
"Thank you" she sighed

Isabel opened the door to find Michael sitting there staring at the floor, he had the swirl symbol necklace in his hands
"I can't... I can't feel Max anymore" he said and she nodded
"Neither can I. We should go to Tess, see if she feels the same" suggested Isabel. He nodded and then headed over fearful of what the lack of connection could mean.
They found Tess curled up next to Kyle in the bed. Kyle was sleeping softly and she was smiling
"Tess we can't sense Max anymore"
"It's okay" she replied calmly "You're not part of the Royal Four anymore. A new court is being called and you'll find your place"
"What do you mean we're not the Royal Four anymore"
"Max and I chose the new King and Queen"
"What?"
"Max and Kyle are ruling King and Liz and I are ruling Queen. I can feel it, we've got a connection and I can feel everything they do. I finally belong" she whispered before she fell asleep. Michael looked at Isabel with confusion and fear... Max couldn't kick them out for Liz and Kyle? Could he?

He paced nervously. Paced and watched.
"It's ringing" she said and he nodded. Isabel grabbed his hand and pulled him to sit down. He rubbed his chin gruffly and sighed deeply
"Max? It's Tess, Michael and Isabel are here. They want"
"Need" said Michael
"Need to talk to you" she said the nodded, she pressed speaker phone and put the receiver down "Okay go ahead"
"Michael? Isabel? Can you hear me?"
"We can hear you" said Isabel but Michael jumped up
"What the hell is going on Maxwell! Why the hell did you just up and leave?"
"We had to" he replied quickly "Look I don't have a lot of time"
"Make time Maxwell we're your family!"
"What do you mean we? Is Liz there too"
"Yeah she is. Look forgot about that, what I want to talk to you is about the Royal Four" Isabel looked up at Michael and their eyes locked. Michael sat down to hear this "Because neither Tess or I wanted to be with each other we chose who we wanted. I had to give up the throne for her to be with her chosen and the same for her, but the weirdest thing happened. She chose a new King and I chose a new Queen but since they aren't together and with us we've made a completely new Royal Four"
"I don't understand. Kyle and Liz are human, how could they become King and Queen?" asked Isabel. Tess looked to Kyle standing behind the couch. He raised his hand and it glowed softly, Isabel gasped "The healing, Max changed both of you" she said and he just nodded
"But what the hell are we supposed to do? I thought we were all in this together? It was just the three of us"
"Michael calm down. It still us but in a completely different way. No you're not going to like this but have you gotten or given flashes to Alex or Maria?"
"Why?"
"Because that puts them in a sort of queue to be changed into a Hybrid. Now we've figured this out with a little help" they heard someone saying thank you in the back ground and assumed it was Liz "There can't be a Royal Unit without protectors and advisors. Since Liz and Tess are queen and me and Kyle are King they need people to protect them, since there are four of us there has to be four protectors"
"One of them's me" said Michael "And Maria... you're going to change Maria?"
"Maria's already been changed. She just needs to be accepted by the Kings and Queens" said Tess interrupting him
"What she said" Max continued "Michael you are one, the other is Maria and the third does not have a life partner yet. Her name is Ava... remember the eight pods? Well a set is here in New York, apparently the Michael and Isabel Dupes killed their Max Dupe and now she wants out. She wants to start a life with the rest of us, who ever she finds will be the forth"
"That explains Michael. What about me?" asked Isabel
"We believe that you and Alex will be advisors, there doesn't have to be four of you because you're not protecting anything"
"So that's it? We just become other groups?" asked Michael "I thought that we were together. Just the three of us"
"Michael you don't understand!" cried Liz suddenly, they both turned round to see Liz standing there "Once the groups are set up we'll be able to connect. We'll be stronger and a proper family. Max and I are married, and I want you... to..." she gasped then vanished
"Liz? Liz are you okay?" they heard Max on the phone
"I'm fine... I want you to be my brothers and sisters. Please, let's be a proper family" she said
"I have to go" said Max and he hung up. Isabel stared hard at Tess
"I'm willing to do it. I'm going to call Alex and tell him" she picked up the phone and went to call him.
"Michael?"
"I don't know" he said, he stumbled to his feet and left as fast as he could. Tess held up her hand and Kyle took it
"It's a lot for them to take in. I was freaked out when I found out about it too" he confessed
"How come you're not now"
"Because I'm connected to you. I know how good this feels and I'll never be afraid of being part of this. The only thing I'm afraid of is love"
"Love?" she asked confused
"Of how deeply I love you. It's kinda scary being so in love" she smiled
"I know what you mean" she whispered pulling his face close "My King"
"My Queen" he replied before he kissed her.

Maria was tired to say the least, tired and unbelievably exhausted. She had just driven none stop from Roswell to New York. She pulled out her cell phone and called Liz's cell phone
"Hello?" asked Liz sleepily
"I need your address. And a bed" said Maria sleepily
"Maria? What? Where are you?"
"Near some coffee shop and I'm really tempted. I'm in New York Liz and I need your address"
"Sure" she said and quickly gave it to her.
By the time she arrived at their fantastic house they couldn't have been able to afford she found both Max and Liz waiting for her on the porch. A blonde haired girl resembling Tess was sitting on the porch roof keeping watch almost. Maria nodded to her and the girl nodded back, Liz was halfway down the path and coming closer. She threw her arms around her best friend
"To everyone around hear we're Jack and Sandy Antaris, Ava is Jack's sister and you're my cousin. Ok?" she whispered in her ear quickly and Maria nodded
"I don't care as long as I get some sleep" she slumped as her legs gave out but Liz caught her. They got her inside and up the stairs and she just collapsed on the guest room bed.

"Does she know?" asked Ava, Max shook his head "Are you going to accept her without telling her?"
"No, we would never do that. Not to Maria, she's like a sister to me"
"Did you really mean all that you said to Michael and Isabel? About family?" she asked and Liz nodded "And me?"
"You're family too" she said before pulling her close "You're Ava Harding, Tess's twin sister" suddenly there was a loud bang and the sound of wood splintering
"AVA!" roared Lonnie as she burst in threw the door, Ava panicked and pulled away from Liz and ran trying to get away from her. Max stepped in front of them and threw out his shield
"You better leave if you know what's good for you" he hissed coldly
"Zan? Things get freakier by da minute!" she laughed "Ava's my property since we smoked your ass"
"Not anymore. She's no one's property Lonnie. She's our sister now, she's family and we will not let you hurt her!" he snapped, she cocked her head and began blasting away at his shield. Liz stood there watching as Max got weaker and weaker, she couldn't get around the shield to do anything and if he put the shield down she would hit him. They were stuck!
Maria came down after a long sleep, something had woken her up and when she saw the splittered door she hurried down to see what looked like Isabel blasting at Max, only it wasn't Isabel. It was like Tess's Ava, this Isabel was evil and she had to do something!
Liz spotted Maria standing there desperately trying to do something, but she was human and not enough to go up against Lonnie. The best friends locked eyes and Maria felt energy coursing through her, she felt strength and she knew it came from acceptance. Suddenly all theirs words and explanations came into her head and she knew but didn't fear. She would never fear the connection to her family. She marched forward and put her hands on either side of Lonnie's head and electricty shot out pouring into the enemie's mind. Lonnie screamed in agony as they rose off the floor, Lonnie's eyes went slack and they both fell to the floor. Lonnie was dead and Maria was panting hard as Max put his shield down
"Oh, my god" she gasped as the realisation of what she now was hit her. She jumped up and hurried out as fast as she could
"Maria!" cried Liz she was about to go after her but Ava grabbed her arm
"Give her time. I suddenly know all there is about Maria and all she needs is time to figure this out" she said nodding and Liz believed her. Some of the neighbours came to see what was going on, they gasped when they saw the front of the house blown in
"Oh my god! What happened!" gasped Karen. Max looked to Ava who just nodded in understanding as she began to Mindwarp them... only she couldn't get into Karen's head to do anything. There was something about her that she couldn't quite figure out. Who was Karen?

"I'm willing to do it. I'm going to call Alex and tell him" she picked up the phone and went to call him.

"I don't know" he said, he stumbled to his feet and left as fast as he could. Tess held up her hand and Kyle took it
"It's a lot for them to take in. I was freaked out when I found out about it too" he confessed
"How come you're not now"
"Because I'm connected to you. I know how good this feels and I'll never be afraid of being part of this. The only thing I'm afraid of is love"
"Love?" she asked confused
"Of how deeply I love you. It's kinda scary being so in love" she smiled
"I know what you mean" she whispered pulling his face close "My King"

Maria was tired to say the least, tired and unbelievably exhausted. She had just driven none stop from Roswell to New York. She pulled out her cell phone and called Liz's cell phone
"Hello?" asked Liz sleepily
"I need your address. And a bed" said Maria sleepily
"Maria? What? Where are you?"
"Near some coffee shop and I'm really tempted. I'm in New York Liz and I need your address"
"Sure" she said and quickly gave it to her.
By the time she arrived at their fantastic house they couldn't have been able to afford she found both Max and Liz waiting for her on the porch. A blonde haired girl resembling Tess was sitting on the porch roof keeping watch almost. Maria nodded to her and the girl nodded back, Liz was halfway down the path and coming closer. She threw her arms around her best friend
"To everyone around hear we're Jack and Sandy Antaris, Ava is Jack's sister and you're my cousin. Ok?" she whispered in her ear quickly and Maria nodded
"I don't care as long as I get some sleep" she slumped as her legs gave out but Liz caught her. They got her inside and up the stairs and she just collapsed on the guest room bed.

"Does she know?" asked Ava, Max shook his head "Are you going to accept her without telling her?"
"No, we would never do that. Not to Maria, she's like a sister to me"
"Did you really mean all that you said to Michael and Isabel? About family?" she asked and Liz nodded "And me?"
"You're family too" she said before pulling her close "You're Ava Harding, Tess's twin sister" suddenly there was a loud bang and the sound of wood splintering
"AVA!" roared Lonnie as she burst in threw the door, Ava panicked and pulled away from Liz and ran trying to get away from her. Max stepped in front of them and threw out his shield
"You better leave if you know what's good for you" he hissed coldly
"Zan? Things get freakier by da minute!" she laughed "Ava's my property since we smoked your ass"
"Not anymore. She's no one's property Lonnie. She's our sister now, she's family and we will not let you hurt her!" he snapped, she cocked her head and began blasting away at his shield. Liz stood there watching as Max got weaker and weaker, she couldn't get around the shield to do anything and if he put the shield down she would hit him. They were stuck!
Maria came down after a long sleep, something had woken her up and when she saw the splittered door she hurried down to see what looked like Isabel blasting at Max, only it wasn't Isabel. It was like Tess's Ava, this Isabel was evil and she had to do something!
Liz spotted Maria standing there desperately trying to do something, but she was human and not enough to go up against Lonnie. The best friends locked eyes and Maria felt energy coursing through her, she felt strength and she knew it came from acceptance. Suddenly all theirs words and explanations came into her head and she knew but didn't fear. She would never fear the connection to her family. She marched forward and put her hands on either side of Lonnie's head and electricty shot out pouring into the enemie's mind. Lonnie screamed in agony as they rose off the floor, Lonnie's eyes went slack and they both fell to the floor. Lonnie was dead and Maria was panting hard as Max put his shield down
"Oh, my god" she gasped as the realisation of what she now was hit her. She jumped up and hurried out as fast as she could
"Maria!" cried Liz she was about to go after her but Ava grabbed her arm
"Give her time. I suddenly know all there is about Maria and all she needs is time to figure this out" she said nodding and Liz believed her. Some of the neighbours came to see what was going on, they gasped when they saw the front of the house blown in
"Oh my god! What happened!" gasped Karen. Max looked to Ava who just nodded in understanding as she began to Mindwarp them... only she couldn't get into Karen's head to do anything. There was something about her that she couldn't quite figure out. Who was Karen?

"Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Karen Langley" she said holding out her hand "My father is Kal Langley, Hybrid Protector to the Royal Four, which is now newly reformed" she nodded with a smirk Max put his hand up
"Oh now now Max there's no need for all of that. I'm on your side, I'm a Hybrid too"
"How?"
"Well when a mommy human and a daddy alien love each other very much..."
"Okay I get it. So you're through nature?"
"In a way yes. When my mother found out she was not best please so she took off. My father raised me and when I was old enough I moved out here and met someone, the only thing was I couldn't tell him my biggest secret and he ran off with Kandi with a K but she dropped him and I divorced him taking the house, the car and all his money" she said cheerily
"I'm sort of an extra protector really. I have nothing to do with the forming of your groups, I'm just on the outside. Oh and if you ever need anything I'm there" she said before she moved to the large gaping hole in the front of the house. She waved her hand and it was fixed in a flash "That's better" she announced before opening the door and closing it behind her.
"Okay I have no idea what that was about!" laughed Liz
"You and me both. I guess we can trust her, we just have to be careful"
"Ahuh, and we need to pay a visit to Kal Langley who ever he is" she replied.

Maria watched Karen come out, she had heard part of the conversation and knew that she was alien too.
"So how's the alien abyss like?" she couldn't help but ask
"It's nothing to be afraid of" said Karen as Maria wrapped her arms around herself even though it wasn't cold
"I know, that's the problem" she replied and Karen just nodded before leaving her alone to think.
"She's right you know"
"I know, that's the scary part. All my life I've been human and I get this chance to be something else and as scary as it should be I'm not afraid" Maria nodded pulling her arms tighter around her
"I should have got a choice" she whispered but Ava snorted
"You did get a choice. You had the choice to save your friends no you're family. You had the choice to be apart of their lives, I just don't see how anyone could turn their back on that. If I got offered that I would jump for it after the life I've been through"
"Each person is different though. I'm not you"
"No you're not but whether you like it you're like me now. You're an alien hybrid you're a soldier and if you don't want this no matter how far you run you'll never escape it"
"What would you do?"
"Isn't it obvious?" she asked with a smile. Ava lifted her hand and Maria sighed "We're going to be part of the same group. We'll be sisters, do you want to be apart of this?" Maria just nodded and took Ava's hand.
"How fuckin sentimental" crowed Rath as he stood staring at them "Aves ya such a dyke" Ava began to shake out of fear. Because she was holding Maria's hand she was connected to Maria and Maria was frightened too, Ava's fear passed to Tess then it went straight through the Royal Four who felt it. Max and Liz were out on the porch in seconds joining Ava and Maria
"Zan and his bitch. You shackin up wit these bitches?" he asked "Wanna share?"
"Leave now Rath or I'll do what Maria did to Lonnie" hissed Max and he held up his hands
"Fair dues man. I just wanna know how come I can't sense my Aves bitch anymore? Does this mean I'm out? Is Lonnie dead?"
"Yes" said Max and Rath's eyes softened he just nodded
"You look after Ava. Treat her good you hear me, she's special and better than we ever will be. I won't give you grief anymore. Goodbye Ava" he said before walking off Ava pulled her hand away from Maria
"Rath wait!" she said, he turned and stood there. She hurried down the steps and pulled him close "I love you"
"Love you too little sis, I'm sorry I wasn't good enough for you. I'm sorry I let Lonnie hurt you and I'm sorry we took Zan away from you. I realise I could never be the person you need and I keep screwing things up and hurting you so I'm just gonna go so I won't be able to do that anymore. You take care of yourself Ava my baby sister" he said before he pulled from her tight hug and walked off.
"Michael, Tess and Ava are brother and sister" whispered Liz and Max nodded
"She'll be able to sense it through us. She'll tell him" he replied

Tess jerked up in bed as strange thoughts and feelings poured into her. After Isabel went to talk to Alex and Michael they had headed to their bedroom and cemented things further. She looked round as sweat poured off her. She jumped from the bed and began to throw clothes on as fast as she could. She pulled her shoes on without socks and raced out of the bedroom. The sun was beginning to set when she slammed the front door behind her and broke out in a sprint towards Michael's apartment. The sunlight slid over her as she ran, she had to do something!
By the time she got there she practically kicked the door open, it hit something behind it and she found out it was Michael
"Don't go!" she shouted when she saw his backpack
"Uh" he groaned as he held his nose "Why shouldn't I? Max was my family but no he's so happily kicked me out for you Liz and Kyle. Give me one good reason to stay!" he snapped as Isabel came round the corner with a smile on her face. It faded when she saw the stand off. Tess was silent for a moment as he pushed past her and past Isabel
"Because I'm your sister" she said with her back to them. Isabel gasped and glanced back and forth between the two. Michael stopped "Michael I'm your sister" said Tess as she turned slowly to see him standing there stiff "You do have family in Roswell... it's me and Kyle and Jim. My soon to be husband and father in law and... and your niece" she said "Don't go because you have a family"

"Oh this is the life" said Isabel as she lay back on the sun bed next to the pool
"You said it" replied Alex as he slipped his sunglassed on to block the sun.
"Anyone up for a swim?" asked Michael but the others shook their heads
"You know all the crazy missions I've been on this is by far the coolest" said Kyle
"Glad you like it" said Kal Langley as he came down the steps
"Like it? This place is great!" said Valenti and they all turned their heads to stare at him.
"Do you and... Karen bear much resemblance?" asked Tess but he shook his head
"None of my kids look much like me"
"Kids? As in you're been busy?" asked Michael from the pool surprised "And I thought Kyle and Tess were quick!" he ducked the rolled up towel
"No I just have the two. Karen and Kris"
"Got a thing for K. So as much as this little break has been good we need to find some things out about you"
"Keep sunning yourself I don't have time for my daughter's friends and their interviews"
"Not even if it were about... Antar?" asked Tess and he stiffened, he turned around and glared at her
"What do you know? Has Ferrini been talking, you know I could kill all of you right here right now!" he hissed and Kyle stood up defensively as the Vee glowed bright on his chest
"DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO HER LIKE THAT!" he shouted and the second Kal saw the symbol he dropped to his knees
"So you're the new King. I hope you're better than the last, I've given up trying to watch you. It's just too much, I know my daughter has a fascination with you but I don't care anymore"
"There's two kings now. King Zan and King Kyle" said Tess as she stood up
"Ha. From what Karen told me he was taken with that little brunette Lisa. Never pegged him for the flamboyant type"
"There's two Queens as well. We've created a new Four Square"
"I see, so you and the little blonde and Max and his Lisa"
"It's Liz and yes that's how it is. We came out here to find out if you were a threat, you took us in because you thought we were friends of your daughter's we don't personally know her but... Oh My God" gasped Tess when she saw a tall and well toned guy coming down the steps, he had sandy blonde hair and if she wasn't taken she would be all over him like a rash. He wandered over with a smile
"Dad I didn't know we had company, are they actors and actresses working on your new shoot?"
"No they're from the Antar Project. This is Tess, Kyle, Michael, Isabel, Alex and Jim"
"How do you do. Um I've never met the Royal Family before"
"It's a pleasure" grinned Tess and Kyle narrowed his eyes at him, Kris suddenly went flying back into the pool with a heavy splash.

"He's glowing again. You know if it were any lower I would take it as a sign that he's excited and it was my cue to leave" joked Karen as she watched the emblem show up through his shirt
"Must be Kyle" said Liz as she felt part of it through him
"Still weird being connected to him. Sometimes I catch him trawling through my head looking for stuff to embarrass me with"
"Well the connection runs both ways and you could give him... I don't know. A mental image of Michael naked or something"
"And you're assuming that I know what Michael looks like naked?" he asked teasing and she swatted at his arm
"I wish I could have gone to see him. I've always wanted to meet Kal Langley, his movies are soo good. Have you seen any of them? He's won for Oscars, he's brilliant!" said Ava and they stared at her making her look down and blush.
"Well maybe I could invite them over. We could have a big get together or something. I haven't seen my brother in so long"
"Your brother?" asked Max raising an eyebrow
"Kris. Hang on I think I have a picture of him somewhere" she rooted through her purse and handed it over.
"Wow! God he's hot! Oh see now I'm really upset I didn't go"
"What's stopping you? Ava you're connected through Tess, so you share the same powers as us. That means you can project like Kyle can, if you can do it with more energy maybe you'll teleport yourself there?"
"Do you really think that'll work?"
"Try I guess. We'll try and help the best we can" said Liz Ava closed her eyes as she focused. She began to create an image of her being there then she poured more energy into it. She thought about building herself up like she was there.

"What the hell is that?" Alex pointed to a frozen image over the pool. It looked like Tess but with longer hair and it began to become 3D until with a yelp and a flash a girl appeared in midair then crashed into the pool on top of Kris. They all burst out laughing as the two stood up soaking wet, Ava looked round and jumped up
"It worked! Oh Yeah! I'm good!" she began to do a victory dance and Kris was chuckling at her. Michael held out his hand for her and he pulled her up out of the water
"You look just like Tess"
"I'm Ava... Tess's clone. Or the clone of Ava from Antar... I'm Tess's dupe" she explained "I'm her sister and we'll leave it at that"
"What was with the mid air thing?" asked Alex
"Oh I teleported. I tapped into Kyle through Tess and used his powers, he can project I just poured more energy into it and well here I am"
"So you teleported? Where from?" asked Kal a little impressed
"New York" she replied
"New York? Do you Karen? My sister?" asked Kris from the pool
"Yeah. Yeah I do, um I was just talking to her. She said I would love to meet you and I guess she's right. She's told me about you" she said with a grin as he held out her hand to help him out of the pool. Tess glared at her sister and narrowed her eyes at her. Ava went flying forward back into the pool.

"Oh god Liz I need you" he moaned
"I know. I have to tell you something important" she said between kisses. He shoved the fruit bowl off the table and lifted her up. He was about to remove his shirt when she held up her hands "Wait. I have to tell you now or I'll never tell you!"
"What is it?"
"I'm pregnant Max. We're going to have a baby" she said and his grin spread. He gathered her up into his arms and carried her upstairs to the bedroom.
"I love you Liz Parker" he whispered as he kissed her and tossed off his shirt before he moved back to her arms "You and our baby"

"I wish I could have gone to see him. I've always wanted to meet Kal Langley, his movies are soo good. Have you seen any of them? He's won for Oscars, he's brilliant!" said Ava and they stared at her making her look down and blush.
"Well maybe I could invite them over. We could have a big get together or something. I haven't seen my brother in so long"
"Your brother?" asked Max raising an eyebrow
"Kris. Hang on I think I have a picture of him somewhere" she rooted through her purse and handed it over.
"Wow! God he's hot! Oh see now I'm really upset I didn't go"
"What's stopping you? Ava you're connected through Tess, so you share the same powers as us. That means you can project like Kyle can, if you can do it with more energy maybe you'll teleport yourself there?"
"Do you really think that'll work?"
"Try I guess. We'll try and help the best we can" said Liz Ava closed her eyes as she focused. She began to create an image of her being there then she poured more energy into it. She thought about building herself up like she was there.

"What the hell is that?" Alex pointed to a frozen image over the pool. It looked like Tess but with longer hair and it began to become 3D until with a yelp and a flash a girl appeared in midair then crashed into the pool on top of Kris. They all burst out laughing as the two stood up soaking wet, Ava looked round and jumped up
"It worked! Oh Yeah! I'm good!" she began to do a victory dance and Kris was chuckling at her. Michael held out his hand for her and he pulled her up out of the water
"You look just like Tess"
"I'm Ava... Tess's clone. Or the clone of Ava from Antar... I'm Tess's dupe" she explained "I'm her sister and we'll leave it at that"
"What was with the mid air thing?" asked Alex
"Oh I teleported. I tapped into Kyle through Tess and used his powers, he can project I just poured more energy into it and well here I am"
"So you teleported? Where from?" asked Kal a little impressed
"New York" she replied
"New York? Do you Karen? My sister?" asked Kris from the pool
"Yeah. Yeah I do, um I was just talking to her. She said I would love to meet you and I guess she's right. She's told me about you" she said with a grin as he held out her hand to help him out of the pool. Tess glared at her sister and narrowed her eyes at her. Ava went flying forward back into the pool.

"I'm going to call my dad and see if it worked" said Karen as she excused herself and headed across the road to her house. Max took one look at Liz before pulling her close and sucking her into a powerful kiss.
"Oh god Liz I need you" he moaned
"I know. I have to tell you something important" she said between kisses. He shoved the fruit bowl off the table and lifted her up. He was about to remove his shirt when she held up her hands "Wait. I have to tell you now or I'll never tell you!"
"What is it?"
"I'm pregnant Max. We're going to have a baby" she said and his grin spread. He gathered her up into his arms and carried her upstairs to the bedroom.
"I love you Liz Parker" he whispered as he kissed her and tossed off his shirt before he moved back to her arms "You and our baby"
