Now, as a neophyte winner i need to ask, where am I supposed to put the banners than come along with winning?

Congrats on your awards! Most people put theirs on the front page of their winning fic. You can also put yours in your author's page as well. Have a look at other award winning fics to see how they do it and go from there.
