Just happened to be browsing by and thought I would drop off this nice little instrumental piece by my current favorite artists, Two Steps from Hell.

Oh and the songs by Skylar Grey are just amazing. Thanks for introducing her.

Ooh, I don't know why it's been so long since I've listened to this one:

One Song Everyday # 4 - ROUND 66! Max's Musical Spaceship ;p

Ah... Mr. Lenny Kravitz. Too musically talented, that man.

I've always been impressed by his cool serenity. Like his whole
being is in perfect balance, and nothing ruffles his aura.

Very centered and self-assured.

Well, the following artist is fairly new to me.
Like, 'just yesterday' new.

One of my sister's was actually listening to this track,
as she was packing for her trip, when I first heard it.

I have her to thank for enlightening my ears.
(And the artist, too, of course. )

It's such a sexy track. My imagination created
all sorts of imagery and scenes, and then...

I saw the MV, and my mind had difficulty pairing up the
feel of the song with the story shown in the video.

It really threw me off. But the MV is still
interesting enough to check out.

The link is to the artist's website.

Just scroll down a bit, and press play on the first track.
If you like, you can listen to the other tracks listed.

They're all pretty good songs. I particularly enjoyed "White Lies."

Here's the moving picture that accompanies
the song that just didn't make sense to me.

Maybe it'll make sense to someone else.

Good luck! :P

One Song Everyday # 4 - TRACKS 67 68 & 69! 3G-in-1

Post by Helen of Roswell »

Here's another artist/band that's new to me.

First heard this next song, last month, when preparing
to watch part 2 of an astronomy lecture on YT. The MV
of it played as an ad at the start of the video. I was
about to skip it, when I realized it was a song and
stuck around to listen.

Happy I did.

I went back to look for it, but, due to copyright infringement, YT
had taken it down. I found another channel that posted the MV, but
I don’t know how long it will be up, before YT shuts that one down, too.

So I’ll post two links to the same track - the first, a lyrical video of the
song, done by a fan (which I know will have a longer shelf-line), and
the black and white MV, which may be ‘YT-axed’ in the near future.

So, check it out, while it’s still up.

Music Video

Here are two more songs which I enjoyed as well.

The song above is with his band, and these next two
are solo tracks? I think? NOT sure.

Lost in translation
I’m lost in your shadows
I’m losing my sanity
I’m already gone

(This one's my favorite. I fell even deeper
in love with his voice here.

SO GOOD!)

Salt Lake shaped like a bowl,
So that nobody can get out
And we live life holier than you
‘Cause our souls are punched out

Whatever you do keeps you happy
Whatever you do keeps your fingernails clean
Well, you can keep your faith
And I’ll keep my spirituality

Helen, thanks for dropping by all those great songs! They were all completely new to me, and I had never heard of those artists. I particularly loved "Nice and Slow" by Max Frost. It was just SOOOOOO hot!

Well, I'm a sucker for an interesting cover song, and here's one of Shakira's "Whenever, Wherever" by Mundy. The first time I heard it, I wasn't sure that I liked it, but after another listen or two, I really did. The guy has an odd voice, but I enjoy it.

Whenever, Wherever (cover) by Mundy

Ignore the stupid video that someone made for this. I just clicked the first link I saw.

The moment you mentioned we should ignore the video, I could
NOT help BUT to pay attention to it. I had to watch it twice,
because I was distracted the first time. Seems like whoever
made the video may have chosen the first pics available, too.

I enjoyed it though. I don't think I've ever listened to any
Shakira song covers before. It was a nice change to hear
a different tempo of the same song done by another artist.

Speaking of tempos, that Max Frost track is HOT, isn't it?

Just went back for another taste, and the tempo is different
this time around. I don't know if that's how you first heard it,
but it's slightly different, but still sexy and hot as Hades!

And there's one new track on there that wasn't there
last time - "Suspended Animation."

Well, I've been music binging on this next band, lately.

God, I love their sound!

I enjoy so many of their tracks, and NO amount of passing
time would ever make them boring for me. And, in a strange
way, Alice Glass (the vocalist), really does it for me. If it were
someone else, I'm NOT sure I would love them as much as I do.

These three tracks are (currently) my favourite.

Enjoy!

Country: Canada

Artists: Crystal Castles

(Heads up: If you've got headphones/earbuds on,
watch your ears. I suggest you lower the volume
at the start, as NOT to bust your eardrums.)

Hold my head underwater
Take a breath for the Father
Learn to love
Lessons repeating

Have they cleansed you with chloride?
And scrubbed behind the knees?
Has your body been hollowed by the breeze?

The video for the last track is NOT the original MV. It's an animation
created by a YTuber (trofdugweed). It was such an interesting and
smart interpretation of the lyrics that, I had to share.

It's truthful.

It's funny. (At least I thought so. But some might just find it creepy.)

And boy is it an accurate depiction of the world we've been
lured into living in today. Scary, but it forces you to stop and
think about the environment we live in, and the conditioning
that starts before we even learn to walk and talk.

Re: One Song Everyday # 4 - ROUND 73! American Mary

Post by Helen of Roswell »

First heard this next song in the movie American Mary,
which, by the way, has a fantastic soundtrack!

Dark, sexy, and... twisted.

The movie, however, gets sick at some points, and it
gave me plenty to be raging against. But I think a few
of the characters got their just desserts in the end.

It's the kind of movie that reminds you that
NO one gets away with anything.

Anyhoo, the artists of this track have been touring this
month in the U.S. and I was reminded of it all over again.

Enjoy!

Country: Canada

I'm expected to fall on their command
But I'd rather stand

Got pure love for this next artist.

He stirs the mind with his socially conscious lyrics,
while giving the body ‘sweet music’ to sway to.

His tunes always leave me feeling joyful.

The link is to reverbnation, so there are other
tracks available for your enjoyment.

Country: Trinidad (West Indies)

And what you doin’ you’ll be sowin’
And soon will be reapin’
A fruit that is stinkin’

One Song - TRACKS 75, 76 77 & 78! (The CROSS of Changes)

Post by Helen of Roswell »

It’s incredible how music, emotions, and
memories are intricately linked.

The Cross of Changes album possibly contains THE most
crucial collection of songs that have had the single
greatest impact on my spiritual being via music.

Which may sound unusual to some do to the fact that the
music itself is very much sensual in tone. However, for me,
sensuality and spirituality carefully twine as one.

The following songs have been strongly imprinted on my heart,
since I first heard them, years ago. After hearing them again
tonight, I feel as if I have reclaimed a lost part of myself,
and my childhood, long forgotten

It’s stirring up some seriously, deep, deep PRIMAL shit in me, right now.

I don’t know the actual language the first track is sung in,
but it’s never stopped me from enjoying, and feeling the
beauty of the music. I’m sure it won’t fail to move you too.

Artist: Enigma

Countries: Germany & Romania

I see love, I can see passion
I feel danger, I feel obsession
Don’t play games with the ones who love you
‘Cause I hear the voice who says:
“I love you, I’ll kill you”
