I didn't see a thread like this - so I thought I'd start one.

Some of the username's on this board are so unusual, it got me curious.

Is there a story behind your username? How did you think of it? Did you try a different name that was already taken?

My username - trulov - actually came from a line from my favorite movie "The Princess Bride"

Death can't stop true love...all it can do is delay it awhile.

The spelling came from necessity.

Anybody else want to share?

LOL I love that movie! I can quote the entire thing with my brothers and sisters. It's a game we all love to play.


O.k. My name Earth2Mama comes from my frustration with my mother and her trying to dictate how I should live my life. I wouldn't say we're strangers, but we're not exactly close either. She's totally religious and it seems every conversation I have with her lately, she's wanting me to go to church. It's not that I'm not religious or don't believe in God. I do believe in God, just not religion. Too many rules - do this and not that and the lord will praise you and shine his holy light on you ... WHATEVER! So not me. Never have been one to follow rules, never will be. I like to do my own thing.

Anyway, we got into a heated argument about it several years ago, and I just completely lost it on her. I think I said something along the lines of - Hello? Earth to Mother? Ground Control to Major Bitch, over ... I'm never going to go to church and be a devout and religious person, so just drop it and get off my back!

So, yeah that's how I came up with my name. At first it was Earth2Mother (which is still my name on some boards and on my various email address), but for some reason ... I decided to be called Earth2Mama here.

When I thought of it I just ended things with a real jerk that same day Katharine McPhee's CD came out. She has a song on there called "I'm Not Your Girl". Though it was a sign.

I am currently without religious beliefs. In fact, I go around telling people this who approach me on the subject.

I don't discuss religion ... it's like politics - just a subject never to be discussed. Taboo.

Everyone is entitled to their own belief system. Don't condemn me for mine (or lack thereof), and I'll return the favor.

Okay why not, I'm bored.

Okay so my story starts out long before I was born. It actually starts with my Great Grandma, who had three girls. So because of this the family name was not handed down to the next generation. When I was born someone got a stick up their butt and decided that this name needed to be carried on to me. I have no idea what made me special. I am not a first born, not technically anyways, and all but two of my cousins are older. My mom was like um no there's no way in hell I'm naming my daughter that. So my name then was suppose to be Angela Marie. Then Valentine's Day hit and I graced the world, anyone wanna guess what my great grandma's last name is, yup that would be Valentine. So I was born Angela Valentine. And minus one birthday all the best things happen to me on that day, so yeah it's like I'm fated to it. So there you go my long long long boring story.

My name came from the difficulty I had entering Hotmail when everything I tried was already occupied!
So I chose the name of the road I live.... really nothing too fancy anyway!

mine is really simple, I've had since I think 1997. I actually had another screen name at the time and I would play on yahoo alot (canasta, spades) and got tired of people always asking my name was so I came up with itzstacie . The actual its was taken so went with the Z.
