john doe was on vh1 classics this week a few times. he was on the history of rock and roll. i didn;t really catch but a snip, but he was talking about the stones...i think. Anyway apparently (mind u this is new knowledge to me and maybe some of you out there may think this is cool too), he was the founding member of this early 1980's Los Angeles punk band named 'X' and before that he was in the 'Flesh Eaters' (yeah i know gross) but they were saposedly really good bands. here's a few pics of him in his puck rock days and now... so Jeff Parker wasn't the only bad ass :D
maybe these pics could lead a few pple into some story ideas about jeffs past...just throwing that out there...

X is a pretty badass band. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in punk.

Yeah, they were very groundbreaking punk-wise, and also helped a lot of smaller bands get off the ground. I had a prof. who knew him and had used him in a couple films and documentaries, which was kinda neat. :D

Also, just a tidbit in case anybody didn't know, if you watch Leaving Normal, the bit where Grandma Claudia teases him about still listening to "that band," the song he's singing along to is actually his own, from The John Doe Thing.

William Sadler is going to be on an upcoming episode of NUMB3RS, which also stars the lovely and gorgeously pregnant Diane Farr. I think the episode airs March 2nd- but I'm not positive. (NUMB3RS airs Fridays at 10 on CBS)

It's actually kind of funny to watch the newer episodes of NUMB3RS right now because Diane's character, Meghan, on the show isn't pregnant so they have been using creative costume and filming choices to hide her belly. She's always sitting behind a desk or holding a file folder. You can tell it's getting harder and harder to hide because they have been only filming from mid-chest up.

I know! Every time I see her standing behind a partial wall, or sitting down at a desk or something I kind of laugh. lol
